EQ高耐性好 請謝婷婷描述自己的真實性格，她凝望鏡中的自己幾 秒，然後說：「沒笑容不代表我拒人千里，真實的我很free spirited、很out -- going，還很emotional，易哭又易笑。」 生於明星之家，自小活在鎂光燈下，一張冷面相信是為 招架狗仔隊追訪而練就得來，計正式入行當藝人，已踏入第 六個年頭，她坦言最大改變是EQ 極速提升，「未入行已經 不斷被跟蹤，當時很不開心，惟有保持無反應，慢慢被跟得 多，知道要練好EQ才不會被拍到醜態，提醒自己記得望鏡 頭笑、say hi and say bye。」 不只EQ高，她還學懂感恩，「以前狗仔隊會衝進餐廳二 話不說就拍，近年已經好疼我，會先說：『不好意思，我們 都只為了交功課吧！』然後才拍，算好幸福啦，要當藝人就 要接受，沒得投訴。」 自小在加拿大成長，鬼妹仔性格率直、坦白，要適應香 港娛樂圈，並不容易，「入行之後，連耐性都愈來愈好。」是 拍戲等化妝、等set燈set機位訓練得來嗎？「和拍戲無關， 是做藝人不可以直接跟客戶溝通，要經過助手、經理人、市 場部再傳達給客戶，最後對方接收到的，可能已不是我最初 的意思，雖然這是很好的訓練，但我還是喜歡簡單直接。」 重重關卡，是為保護藝人，正如訪問前助手也先取問題過 目，是為了確保訪問不尷尬沉悶吧！
High EQ and very patient Now in her sixth year of showbiz, she says she thinks the biggest change she has undergone is the drastic elevation of her emotional quotient. “I was already being constantly followed before entering show business. I was extremely unhappy then, so I stayed stoic to deal with the attention. After a while, I realized that I had to have better EQ in order to avoid embarrassing shots. I reminded myself to look at the camera, say ‘hi’ and say ‘bye.’” More than just achieving a higher EQ, she has also learned to be thankful. “In the past, the paparazzi would barge into the restaurant I was in and take shots without asking. These recent years, they have been very good with me. They’ll say ‘Sorry, we are just doing our job’ before they shoot. I count myself lucky. Being in showbiz, we have to accept this. One can’t complain.”

It has nothing to do with the circumstance or material things. The Opus 14 mechanism has an astonishingly number of parts -- 1,006 in all. It measures 54.7 millimetres in diameter and is 22 millimetres thick, yet doesn’t look at all chunky on the wrist. Hayek’s son, Marc, said Opus 14 is inspired by the jukebox and the colour tone of the dial evokes old American route signs. But in essence, it doesn’t have much to do with American design aesthetics. As to why Baden Baden was picked to unveil the Opus 14, Marc said it was funny that old diners are hard to find in the U.S. these days, whereas such establishments with a strong retro feel still exist in the Black Forest spa town near the French border. The arrangements for the media event were well planned. Dozens of vintage cars ferried guests from the hotel to the venue, which was decorated with posters of iconic movie stars, such as James Dean and Elizabeth Taylor. As well, pinball machines were stationed there for guests to enjoy. The Opus 14 was set in one of these and guests could take a look by inserting a token to light up the machine. Singer Robin Thicke performed live at the event and was named brand ambassador. The release was reflective of what the Opus series is all about – innovation, time after time. With the brand’s acquisition by Swatch Group, there is no doubt the Opus initiative will get enormous support. In the past, after viewing Opus at Baselworld, connoisseurs had to endure an excruciating wait period for the product to hit the market. This time, Opus 14 was released in Europe the day after the media event and this probably drew as much attention as the novelty of the mechanism. Opus 14 is produced in a limited edition of 50 pieces, at SF400,000 each.

Tissot CEO François Thiébaud In October 2014, Tissot opened the Peak Walk by Tissot, a 107-metre-long pedestrian suspension bridge linking two Swiss mountains. Nine months later, the brand added the First Cliff Walk by Tissot at the dizzying height of 3,000 metres. These offer two very different altitudinal experiences. They naturally came up in an interview with Tissot CEO Fraçcois Thiébaud, a great opportunity to find out why the brand challenges new heights. He said it’s the brand’s way of letting more people experience the magnificence of the Swiss Alps.

Having played with stainless steel, rose gold, platinum and DLC coating, it now stars the hardy black ceramic formed of zirconium-oxide composite. The dial is like a twin of PAM 425, with a formation of dots and indexes. The slow-speed torpedo Black Silura a Lenta Corsa motif is also featured on the minimalist dial. Comparing black with black, this PAM 577 and the PAM532 both have the torpedo motif, but the former’s is bigger by a single millimetre. The ceramic case is also harder than DLC-coated stainless steel. Both are powered by P.3000 hand-winding caliber, with 72-hour power reserve. The price of $15,000 is reasonable, considering it has the whole shebang of torpedo, the dot markers, the ceramic case and the proprietary mechanism.

The spa house has two storeys, with an interior area of about 200 square metres. The ground floor includes a Finnish sauna, an indoor heated pool, a kitchen and a multi-functional living room. The second floor features a bedroom equipped with a full bathroom, and the designer has also balanced practicality and entertainment by adding a multi-functional common area that can easily convert to an extra bedroom for guests. 北歐設計著重於簡單和自 然美，淺色系牆身配合落 地門窗設計為室內更添空 間感。 The Northern Europe theme uses natural chic as its blueprint. The spa house is located in a forest about two kilometres from the ocean. Occasionally, forest animals will forage for food in the mornings outside the house. Thus, the designer uses natural and sustainable materials as much as possible throughout the project to reinforce the spa house’s natural theme. All building materials are natural, local materials. In addition to using natural clay to dye the natural wood, the bathroom walls of the spa house are also decorated using natural clay rather than traditional ceramic tiles. As well, on the shower wall in the second-floor bathroom, the designer abandons the traditional tiles and, instead, uses mortar made

Executive chef Daniel Schick has updated the afternoon tea menu to incorporate local, seasonal ingredients, while upholding classic cooking techniques. Here, hot and cold canapés are rooted in traditional flavours, but are given a modern twist. Think of an open-faced Welsh rarebit with aged cheddar, caramelized onion and ale chutney on a toasted buttery brioche, or finger sandwiches with alternating layers of smoked salmon and potted lemon dill shrimp. Even honey mustard glazed ham is slicked with clove-infused pineapple preserves, and egg salad is given a posh upgrade with minced fresh lobster and tarragon crème fraiche. Scone aficionados, rejoice. The Chopsticks’ Favourite Wines Monsieur Hugel may appear to be blowing his own trumpet when championing the pairing of Alsatian wines with Asian food, but other food and wine experts seem to concur. Hrayr Berberoglu, Professor Emeritus of Hospitality and Tourism Management specializing in Food and Beverage at Ryerson University in Toronto, says that after two decades of considerable efforts, international chefs and gastronomes have concluded that Alsatian wines are the best complement to Asian foods.

The clients were a group traveling together on a scheduled tour, whose commercial flight was cancelled due to the strike. Airline Cost: A budget airline ticket, booked on short notice, for the next day would have cost between $350 and $400 per person. A standard airline carrier would have charged at least $600 for an economy ticket and $1,300 for a business-class seat. (And, of course, it would be very unlikely they would have been able to book 100 seats together). Private Jet Cost: The total cost was $35,300, which worked out to $350 per person. This was less than alternative train transport (which would also have added 15+ hours to the journey). The cost would be similar for the same size group, if they were travelling from London to Paris.

TURBOPROPS For short journeys, turboprop aircraft – such as the popular Beechcraft King Air – can be very cost-effective. Some offer luxurious interiors and a cabin experience to rival many private jets. A typical King Air trip for our clients might be from New York to Boston, for a weekend getaway, or a golfing trip. You can make the most of your time away, setting your own itinerary and flying together as a private group. Airline Cost: A short-notice overnight return to Boston this weekend, non-stop, would cost from $335 per person. Private Jet Cost: The cost for an overnight return in a King Air would be $4,700. That would mean a per-person cost of $580 if all eight seats were filled. That’s not too far away from the economy airline price, and a world away in terms of flexibility, time-saving and travel experience.
EMPTY LEGS Empty leg flights can quite often compare favourably with airline prices, but as they are repositioning flights, times and availability can be volatile. Therefore, they do require much more flexibility than a normal jet charter. They are also only one-way flights, so some of our clients like to combine an empty leg in one direction with a return flight by commercial airline. Private Jet Cost: Recently, we offered an empty leg from Orlando to Ft Lauderdale in a Sabreliner 65 for $2,800 (RRP $11,100). This would be $311 per person if all nine seats are filled. Airline Cost: The costs can be very close. With short notice, economy airline seat prices start at $250 on a budget airline.
