Post Falls is located between Spokane, Washington, to the west and the city of Coeur d’Alene to the east. It is Idaho’s tenth largest city. The city’s namesake, Fredrick Post, a German immigrant, millwright, inventor and developer, was first to dam the Spokane River to provide water power to his lumber mill. After a fire destroyed the mill in 1902, the site was purchased by Washington Water and Power to develop a hydroelectric plant which would provide power to mining operations 100 miles away. The transmission line became the longest highvoltage line in the world. Washington Water and Power renamed Avista Utilities in 1999 operates the Post Falls facility providing a vital source of energy to our region. Post Falls, along the Spokane River, with its diverse geography provides and incredible opportunity for the sport of rock climbing. The cliffs found in the 78-acre Q’emiln Park offer 5.5-5.11 crags and some of the regions best climbing and bouldering opportunities. Post Falls’ economy is supported by a growing retail sector, manufacturing, healthcare, and tourism. Median home price based on a total of 157 properties sold between 1/1/20213/7/2021 was $404,466. Post Falls has seen the job market increase by 3.0% over the last year. Future job growth over the next ten years is predicted to be 49.7%, which is higher than the US average of 33.5%. City of Hayden

The city of Hayden is a scenic forested North Idaho community neighboring the shores of Hayden Lake. The city’s downtown business district offers a variety of locally owned shops that will help you understand why, in years past, Hayden was once known as Hayden Village. Two picturesque golf courses sit adjacent to Hayden Lake. Avondale Golf Club and the historic Hayden Lake Country Club, built in 1907, both are known for their well-conditioned courses and beautiful facilities. In the early 1900s, the town became a center for agriculture, logging, and recreation. Steamboats operated on the lake, carrying tourists to and from a popular local tavern. An electric railroad connected Coeur d’Alene to Hayden Lake, transporting tourists to the tavern and cottages on the lake. Hayden was the location of Idaho’s first 18-hole course and was visited often by such people as President Taft and Bing Crosby. City of Rathdrum

Rathdrum, one of the oldest towns in Idaho, was the county seat up until 1908 when it was moved to Coeur d’Alene. The wide open Rathdrum prairie lies at the base of Rathdrum Mountain, part of the Selkirk Mountain Range. The area began to grow when the Northern Pacific Railway built its line westward to Spokane. Today, Rathdrum remains the only regular railway line in Idaho and is owned by BNSF Railway. Amtrak’s Empire Builder travels through Rathdrum but does not stop there. Rathdrum is 12 miles northwest of Coeur d’Alene and 25 miles east of Spokane, Washington. Housing in and around Rathdrum offers homes and acreage for those desiring space for gardening, raising a few horses or those embracing country living on 5-acre parcels or larger.There are several newly constructed planned developments as well as senior housing and low income housing.
