We have the best volunteers, donors and staff in the world. Because of the time, passion and resources that you have chosen to give, Habitat for Humanity Capital District is serving more families than ever before. We broke ground on our largest project ever in the City of Troy—“Fox Hollow” at Burden and Cross—in the summer of 2012. There, we are building 14 homes for hardworking families and creating a healthy, vibrant neighborhood on what was formally vacant land. Across the river in Albany we broke ground on our Sheridan Hollow project in the spring of 2013, marking the beginning of the most ambitious endeavor in our history. In the first phase alone, Habitat will build 20 new homes while our partners will construct quality apartments, new commercial and retail space and a redeveloped park for the neighborhood. Habitat for Humanity Capital District also began celebrating our 25th anniversary! As we look to the next 25 years, we are filled with excitement and possibility. In 2014, we will build upon our accomplishments in new construction and will also announce a major initiative to address vacant buildings and blight in the Capital District. With your help, we know we will continue to make even greater strides to empower families, eliminate blight and revitalize communities. Thank you. In partnership,

Mike Jacobson

GIVE BACK! CDPHP chose Habitat as one of their 2013 Charities of Choice—along with Capital Region Sponsor-AScholar. CDPHP raised funds and provided volunteers to build a home in our Sheridan Hollow project. They understand that a healthy home can make all the difference.

GET INVOLVED! When you call the ReStore to make a donation, chances are you will speak to our all-star volunteer Lindy Sanford. “I feel like I am really making a contribution and that I’m building houses through the work I do here at the ReStore.”

A group of strong ladies helped out in “Fox Hollow” during National Women Build Week.

LEND A HAND! DONATE! Timothy & Jillian Carter support Habitat as members of our Carpenters Club because it meets a practical need for neighbors in their community. “We give every month because a lot of people are counting on Habitat and we want Habitat to know they can count on our support.”
