Academic Affiliation Dear Global Education Colleagues, CEA Global Education is pleased to introduce you to CEA Academic Affiliation. With a robust Global Education Network spanning 14 countries and 24 cities, CEA continues to expand and improve study abroad opportunities for U.S. students seeking high-quality international education experiences. The new CEA Academic Affiliate Program offers benefits for all of your campus constituents, including students, faculty, administrators and staff. Your students will benefit from travel grant awards, plus a dedicated scholarship program reserved for the students of Academic Affiliates. You and your colleagues will be eligible for professional development opportunities, including tuition grants, web-based training and seminars, and visiting professorships. The Academic Affiliate Program also offers support for future international programs co-developed by your university (defraying the costs for faculty involvement in such initiatives). In exchange, CEA asks that Academic Affiliates affirm their commitment to study abroad advocacy and widening student access to international opportunities. In addition, we will continue to look for ways to collaborate on projects including outreach activities, joint research, and curriculum integration. Whether your institution is new to CEA Global Education or has participated in an affiliate program before, affiliation can assist you with your internationalization goals. A more detailed explanation of the program’s benefits is included in this brochure. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at UniversityRelations@GoWithCEA.com or 1-877-4492775. We look forward to working closely with our CEA Academic Affiliates. Sincerely, The CEA University Relations Team
Benefits for Students CEA Academic Affiliation offers assistance with all aspects of campus internationalization: student access, administrative resources, and staff and faculty development. Benefits for students include:
Student Travel Grants CEA offers each student of an Academic Affiliate institution a travel grant, to appear on the student’s billing account, as follows: • $500 per student, per session for year programs • $250 per student, per session for semester or trimester programs • $100 per student, per session for short-term and summer programs CEA may prohibit the use of Travel Grants in conjunction with Volume Discounts, Custom Programs, and/or other Non-Affiliate direct student promotions.
Student Scholarships CEA allocates a dedicated pool of scholarship funding specifically for students from Academic Affiliates for Spring and Fall semester programs. These competitive scholarships recognize student achievement in a variety of categories, including academic merit and global citizenship.
University Relations Team
Expanded Study Abroad Resources CEA recognizes the challenges universities face today as many sources of support for university internationalization and program development have been reduced or eliminated in response to current economic conditions. By complementing your available resources, CEA aims to expand study abroad access to a wider demographic of students preparing to join a changing global marketplace.
