Q. Hello Christian hope all is well can you tell everyone who you are and where you from?

A. Hello, Absolutely! My name is Christian Robinson PKA “Kindafye” and I am a super outgoing and optimistic Entertainer & Entrepreneur. I Model, Drum, Sing, Act, own a clothing line called FYE Apparel “Find Your Element” and am the Co-Founder of The Defiant Ones Teen Magazine, as well as Host of The Defiant Ones Teen Podcast, and so much more! I am from and currently still living in Atlanta GA.
Q. How do you balance all your endeavors?
A. It honestly all comes down to the motivation behind everything I get into. There is a popular saying that says there are only 24 hours in a day, and the difference between the people who are successful and those who are not is how wisely you spend those hours. I will admit, doing all of the things that I do, as well as school, and life in general is not any easy task to manage. But I have the dream to be successful, and to become the best version of myself that I can be, so nothing will ever be as strong as my dream. My motivation to strive for greatness, and my determination to succeed is how I balance. When it truly matters you will always find a way. In my free time I am creating flyers and sending out business emails, I surround myself with peers and people who support and motivate me to keep moving forward, but most importantly I keep control of my mindset, because our mindsets are our biggest strengths or biggest weaknesses depending on which we choose.
Q. What is your new normal due to Covid-19?
A. This Coronavirus Pandemic Quarantine is both a burden and a blessing. It is taking away many opportunities of both pleasure and business, but it is also allowing me to do so much by giving me the one thing that is non obtainable which is Time itself. My new normal during this pandemic is very busy with my Magazine and Podcast, but I try to not over work myself and still allow myself to enjoy this time of just being able to enjoy life as a kid and take it all in by enjoying my favorite Netflix Shows and ving my musical skills as constructing new ideas everyday. My goal by the end of this Quarantine is to come out of it in great health and with so many new things done and created to improve myself and help me get my name out there as the entertainer & Entrepreneur that I want to be like for Example I want to write 2 books. One will be about the importance of being yourself, and the other will be about the power of a positive mindset.
Q. Tell us about “Defiant Ones” and the experience you had being the Co-Founder?
A. The Defiant Ones Teen Magazine is a Magazine that is “For Teens By Teens” and talks about the latest Entertainment, Fashion, News, Trends, etc. But what truly makes it stand out is the information and stories we share inside that all come from a Youth’s perspective like, Creating Businesses, Becoming Leaders, Financial Literacy, Life after Highschool, Sex Trafficking, Bullying, and so much more. We also share the stories of Teen and Young Adult Influencers of all career types and learn about their struggles, successes, and experiences. We have now even created a podcast out of the Magazine called The Defiant Ones Teen Podcast, and the topics are mainly the same but what makes this podcast special is now we aren’t just talking to Teens and Young Adults but instead are speaking with Youth, Teens, and Adults who share their amazing wisdom, expertise, and experience to help our listeners/viewers grow and thrive. Me and my brother (Co-Founder Dekori Robinson’s) mission with both of these is basically to Inspire everyone that Anything is possible at any age, race, gender, etc. We want to be examples that everyone is capable of Defying the expectation or limitations put against us. Being Co-Founder of this amazing brand is just a blessing on its own, what started one night at the dinner table as just an idea then transformed into something that
our parents supported and would help to grow and seeing where it is now is truly incredible. But we have so much more to do, so many more lives to change and impact. We want to get our Magazine into all stores, airports, and Juvenile detention centers so that the kids in there can see what amazing things the people their age is capable of and go for greatness once they are released.
Q. I see that you are a Singer/ Rapper. What makes your music different from others?
A. Honestly, I am still figuring that out. A lot of music these days talks about sex, money, drugs, and uses lots of profanity. I don’t want my music to be seen in that way. My music is uplifting ad super relatable, I want my music to be very powerful in its messages but also something that Everyone wants to listen to. The dynamic for what is seen as good music is constantly changing, and Just like Micheal Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Beyonce and so many other incredible artists want my work to be like theirs but even better.
Q. Share one fun fact about yourself?
A. I just turned 17 but I’m mentally still 7. Just playing Haha, but really I am constantly listening to Disney movie songs and soundtracks, or just watching Disney shows/ movies. A lot of people criticize me for it but honestly it brings out the kid inside of me, and that is what helps me to always be so happy and positive.
Q. What is your favorite genre in music and favorite music artist?
A. I love Hip Hon & RnB! But most of all I enjoy equally both old school music as well as movie soundtracks and instrumentals. I enjoy those so much because it resonates within me. I said that I am mentally still a kid, but I am also an old man who loves the feel of old school and dancing. Soundtracks and Instrumentals really just bring out the musicality of a song and I absolutely love the feeling that it gives me. It is extremely hard to choose a favorite musical artist but for the sake of the question I will say Bruno mars. All of his music are hits and they all give me that resonant feeling.
Q. How would you describe your apparel brand “Find Your Element”?
A. My clothing brand FYE Apparel “Find Your Element” was created after my experiences with bullying, and symbolizes being confident in who you are. Growing up, I have always been the type of kid who would do any and everything to make others laugh and smile. I was always goofy and happy and still I got so much hate for it. I didn’t have many friends, I got called so many names, physically abused, and I never understood why. So, in the pressure of all of that it came to a point where I didn’t know who I was anymore, what I wanted to do with my life, I lost myself. So, in that state of mind I wasn’t happy and knew that I just wanted to get back to the old me, and I had to take a lot of time to myself to rediscover who I was, who I wanted to be, my passions, goals etc. And that was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. I represent all of this as an Element. Elements are keys to life, and the keys to our own live and our own destinies is ourselves. So, the greatest thing that we all can do as individuals is ignore everything and internally Find Ourselves aka Find Our Element! I promote this message verbally through speeches and interviews and I also sell clothing with this message online, but I want to do so much more; so best believe that this is just the beginning.
Q. What are some of the great opportunities and challenges you’ve had being a young entrepreneur?
A. Well-being so young I have both garnered many amazing opportunities as well as put lots of challenges upon myself. Some of the great things that I have been fortunate to speak with with many influential community leaders around the Atlanta area and having the pleasure of meeting and working with so many incredible Teen and Young Adult Entertainers & Entrepreneurs from around the world. Everyday our brand and its mission grows stronger and brings in new support which is so heavily appreciated. But at the same time it’s not easy. Balancing life, school, and business is an absolute challenge, the process of actually working on and perfecting every
magazine constructed or interview done is not an easy task either. But the biggest challenge of all naturally for doing so much at this young age is the financial part of it all. It is very hard to create something so strong and well put together and promote it to garner support without money. But we’ve been blessed to have so many people believe in what we’re doing that Money isn’t always our biggest concern.
