hall of fame

elle quach

FV KIWIN’S recognizes Elle Quach (17’) for her endless commitment in KIWIN’S. Her endless love for service and generosity is matched by no other. She is one of the most kindest seniors Fountain Valley KIWIN’S has witnessed in a long time. Members like these are one of the reasons why FV KIWIN’S grows more every year. She is seen as a role model from numerous members. There is nonstop talk about the impact she has made on the club and the club would greatly like to thank her for her KIWIN’S Journey. “Over the years I been in KIWIN’S , it shaped me into the person I am today. From a shy, small girl who didn’t reach out to other people into a person who does reach out to other people. When I was a Sophomore, I was lost and confused. I didn’t feel like I didn’t feel like I belonged anywhere. I stayed with my own friend group but, then I decided to join KIWIN’S. Where my friend was super committed in and influenced me to join. When I joined KIWIN’S, I was amazed by how loud everyone was. Everyone was just talking and talking and laughing at the first meeting. When they introduced the board

members at the first meeting, I was stunned to see how close they appeared. And seeing that, I decided to stay. Although it was my first year in KIWIN’S, I decided to join DCON Committee 2015. That experience in DCON Committee allowed me to become a better leader. I saw how board works and how they lead the club. I learned how they were able to interact with members and organized their money, hours and everything they did. And from that experience, that was the start of my KIWIN’S journey. Since then, I been dedicated to KIWIN’S and I met many people who stuck by my side. Who listened to me talk about my insecurities and what I lacked in as a leader. They showed me step by step of what to do and what I should apply for to gain the experience. That continued on when I joined Summer Committee 2016. Where I took a bigger role as activities special where I planned socials and events with Activities chair. Through this experience, I learned how to plan and communicate with others. I believe KIWIN’S shaped to be a better leader better than anything else if I didn’t joined.”

Running for a divisional board position would’ve been unthinkable to me when I first joined. One event after another and interacting with such great members, I can talk to people without wanting to run away and “I started high school very timid I can truly appreciate the time I’ve and with the mindset to just gradu- spent in KIWIN’S.” ate and get out and graduate. With each memory I’ve made, I wanted Lauren Wong | Senior to slow down time and make the Divisional Bulletin Editor most out of every moment and Fountain Valley High School | CNH experience, but my shyness used KIWIN’S District to extend to the point where at one event I waited in the car until Emily arrived.
