i everyone!! Welcome new members to your first newsletter! This month has been super fun and exciting for a lot of reasons. I’m glad that I’ve gotten to meet so many of you and I hope you guys are finding yourselves comfortable with KIWIN’S and everything that has been going on so far! I am so beyond excited for this term to start up and for all of you to come out to more events and really experience the KIWIN’S environment. We have so much lined up for you all this year, so stick around with us because you won’t regret it! ALSO THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR GETTING US TO 602.5 HOURS THIS MONTH?? Y’all are hecka crazy haha! Exciting events that are coming up include Fall Rally South and October DCM/KTC! I highly encourage going to these events to meet new people within our division and even district! Love,

ello my lovelies!! For any new members out there, hi! My name is Cece Nguyen and I am your corresponding secretary! Every month, I release newsletters that summarizes what FV KIWIN’S has done. This includes past events, future events, hours updates, funds update, and much more. Thank you so much to everyone who signed up for our club during Club Rush to reach a total of 344 sign ups!! I hope everyone had an amazing time at Light the Night and our first social! Hopefully, I get to see more of your beautful faces at our upcoming events! It’s members like you guys that allow us to reach amazing feats, like reaching over 600 hours in only ONE month! We have loved seeing everyone’s amibition and passion. On the afternoon of Saturday, September 3, Division 4 East Key Club and Jet Division KIWIN’S gathered at the Fountain Valley Recreational Center for a joint DCM. After that, both clubs worked together to creat math flashcards with equations and answers on both sides. These cards were then given to the local Boys & Girls Club.

From 9 am-12 pm on a Sunday, Fountain Valley KIWIN’S volunteered for Coastal Clean up Day at Bolsa Chica Conservatory. Coastal Cleanup Day is a statewide effort towards environmental conservation, dedicated to habitat restoration and trash removal. Members picked out weeds and intrusive plants in order to have other plants grow better.

From 8 am-12 pm on a Saturday, Fountain Valley KIWIN’S volunteered at Coastal Clean up Day at Huntington Beach. Coastal Cleanup Day is a statewide effort towards environmental conservation, dedicated to habitat restoration and trash removal. Members separated into groups and walked around the whole beach to pick up trash, recording it on paper as they went.

LIT LIT LIT! For our first event of the school year, Fountain Valley KIWIN’S volunteered for Light the Night. There were shifts from 9 am-1 pm and 3 pm-8 pm. Members set up lanterns, moved moxes, built flags, held up signs, and worked booths. Towards the end, members were able to walk through Angels Stadium and participate in the marathon itself.

On Saturday from 7:45 am- 5 pm, FV KIWIN’S volunteered for a soccer torunament hosted by our very own vice president Calvin Tran. Volunteers set up tables registering soccer groups, passed out medals, set up, tore down, cheered on the soccer players, and passed out food and water to the players. There was also a raffle where all proceeds went to the AYSO special needs soccer group to keep it alive.

Waking up on a bright and early Saturday morning, Fountain Valley KIWIN’S will be volunteering at a Color Run in Huntington Beach. Members will be throwing color at the runners, passing out water, and of course CHEERING!!

COME GET VITALIT WITH VITALYTE!! Fountain Valley KIWIN’S will be waking up at the crack of dawn to volunteer at the iconic Surf City!! Gathering at Huntington Beach, members will be passing out water to the runners at the water stations and cheering them on as they run through the 10K marathon.

On October 21, Fountain Valley KIWIN’S will be having a yard sale to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation!! The location is TBD, but feel free to check your houses for anything you would like to donate! Toys, clothes, books, and any other knick knacks would be greatly appreciated! Just message any board member!

L-O-V-E WE LOVE OUR CORGIS!! Always a favorite with our members, Fountain Valley KIWIN’S will be vounteering at this Huntington Beach event on October 28 from 7 am-3 pm. Members will be setting up, helping out vendors, and playing with all of those fluffly and round butted creatures.

Jackie Lai shows exemplary passion for KIWIN’S. Already as a new member, she shows a lot passion and love for the club. She goes out of her way to talk to new members and board members. Starting off as already an outgoing person, I am super excited to meet more members like her.
