L E T T E R From Your Exalted Ruler
Dear Elks Family,
SUPPORT YOUR LODGE
It has been a great month for Elkdom. We had our Mud Volleyball Tournament and this was a huge success. Thank you to Jill Martinez for her hard work to help this cause. Everyone was so helpful to pitch in and make this a successful event. We also had our Golf Tournament that was headed up by Roger Remlinger the following weekend. It was a hot day but we had a blast and raised money for our local Elks Scholarship Program. Our pool has been excellent this year and all have really enjoyed it. Thanks to Chad for keeping our pool clean and beautiful. We have been able to keep the pool open everyday this summer. Continue to help clean you messes at the pool so one person does not have to clean around the pool. Your all doing a great job.

Thank you to the many members who helped put up our fence in the back lot. This is wonderful addition to our lodge and we are so proud of it. The hard work of volunteers to clean and weed the back lot for the Mud Volleyball was so appreciated. Thank you to all who helped with that project. We have many new members coming into our lodge. Get to know them and find out their interests to keep them all involved. It takes all of us to do our projects and your ideas are welcome. Our Hoop Shoot will be this fall. We need help to get this going as soon as school starts. This is a great opportunity for our community to involve our kids in a fun sports activity and help keep them involved. These are future Elks.
Fill The Red Pig For Children With Special Needs
Our interlodge will be in August on the 22nd and 23rd. If you are interested in attending to meet and find out about our district, ask Becky Amos for information. September 26th is the Bike Run. We will need lots of help with silent auction items and helping to celebrate afterwards at the lodge. Anyone wanting to help with this fund raiser is welcome to donate or help with your time. Fraternally yours,

I would like to thank all the participants, volunteers, sponsors, spectators, and especially the committee that made this year’s Mudd Volleyball event a huge success! The Amarillo Elk’s Lodge Mudd Volleyball hosted 36 teams this year! With your help it was a great success in raising money for the Elks Sweetheart program and The Elks National Foundation (ENF). We look forward to your continued support for our 2016 Mudd Volleyball tournament. Without participants, volunteers, sponsors, spectators, and committee members like you, events such as this would not be possible.
