L E T T E R From Your Exalted Ruler

Dear Elks Family,

SUPPORT YOUR LODGE

Summer is finally here and the pool is open. Please be sure to pick up your mess around the pool and be considerate of everyone at the pool. This is our pool and we want to be proud of it. This is not a public pool and if you bring in guests, please make sure they are respectful of our pool and members. Do not throw food or other harmful objects into our pool. Our pool maintenance works hard to make sure all can enjoy it and keep it looking nice. Our kitchen will be opening on July 1st. It will be open Monday through Thursday. We are leasing our kitchen and members are not to store food in their refrigerator or ours without dates. Please clean any mess made if you are washing out you dishes. Do not leave anything in the sink to be washed by someone else. We are happy to have Dana and Susan cooking for us and they have worked hard to clean the kitchen. Please respect their area.

July 3rd is bingo night at the VA. All who can attend will be greatly appreciated. On July 4th, we will be cooking at the VA for our veterans. If you can help serve our veterans who have served our country, please come out at 10:00 that morning. July 11th is the Mud Volleyball Tournament and it is guaranteed to be a great day of fun. There will be breakfast burritos and pulled pork sandwiches for lunch. Come have some fun in the mud. Proceeds will go to ENF and Sweetheart fund for our children with special needs. See Jill Martinez for information or to sign up. July 19th is the Golf Tournament. This is going to be a great day. Do you have your team ready? The proceeds for the tournament will go for a local scholarship from our lodge. Lets promote education in our community. See Roger Remlinger for information and sign up.

Please be considerate of our lodge employees. They work hard to serve you and it is appreciated that you be patient when we are really busy and there is a line waiting to be served. Please be kind to our employees. If there is a problem, talk to Rob Weems, bar manager or to me. Do not take it out on our employees. Be kind to one another and treat them like you would want to be treated. Have a great summer with fellow ELKS. Fraternally yours,

Chris Weems Exalted Ruler
