L E T T E R From Your Exalted Ruler
Dear Elk Family, Spring is in the air. It is a season of renewal and recommitment. As Elks, we are here to help our children, families and community. Our work is never done but ongoing all year through. Our pool will be opening the end of this month. It is getting a new paint job and our bathrooms in the pool area are going to be cleaned and repaired. Our children are going to have a new play area with the donations for our new play set. This will be going up soon and we can use your help to set it up. We are off to a great start for the summer.
SUPPORT YOUR LODGE
Our kitchen has been closed for a time but with your ideas perhaps we will be able to reopen before too long. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Mike Fletcher and Kent Fletcher. Mike’s mother had a serious injury in Lubbock They are all in need of our prayers. PSP Bob Boyett and his wife Sandy lost their granddaughter in a tragic accident. Please keep them and their family in your prayers. Don’t forget to get your tickets for 30 Guns in 30 Days. Drawings begin July 1, 2015. Also start get-

ting your teams together for our 5th annual Mud Volley Ball Tournament. It will be July 11, 2015. Our annual golf tournament will be July 26, 2015 and the funds raised will be for a local Elks Scholarship. Get your team together. Our Elks Motto: “The faults of our Members we write upon the sand, their virtues upon the tablets of love and memory.”
May you all be Blessed,
Chris Weems Exalted Ruler

Texas Elks Children’s Service Proud Participant in the Amazon Smile Program
Through the Smile program, .5% of selected products purchased will be donated back to a charity of your choice. For those who shop Amazon, this is an easy way to support a charitable cause! Simply go to smile.amazon.com rather than the regular amazon. com website. For individuals with existing Amazon accounts, you can log in using your regular Amazon account and password information. For new customers, you can set up a new account from this site as well. Once you are logged in, you can choose Texas Elks Children’s Services as your favorite charity organization and Amazon will automatically donate the .5% on selected items purchased to Texas Elks Children’s Services! What is even better is that smile.amazon.com should remember Texas Elks Children’s Services as your favorite charity for future purchases unless you choose to go in and change it. It’s that easy and helps us all to make a difference in the lives of Special children from all across the state. Thanks for your support! Texas Elks Children’s Services -5-
