THE DETAILS, THE COUPLE, AND THE DRESS
Jennifer & Dylan
Fun, meet romantic because that was the vision for this timeless New York City wedding in the fall. With a black and white color scheme with accents of emerald green, candle lighting and florals brought the romance. For the reception, there were long tables with bud vases so the table arrangements were all different depending on the table. Starting with the cocktail hour straight through to the after party, they wanted guests to have the time of their lives with lots of high energy music and dancing. It was all about the classic New York City vibe, but a different reception experience for this couple, one that focused on the beautiful backdrop to the best day of their lives and their venue delivered.
The bride’s dress was an ivory taffeta Élysée Atelier gown that was exactly what she was looking for, unique and like nothing she’d seen before before. She even had custom sleeves made for the gown as well and tells us, “it all felt very ‘me.’” She styled it with champagne heels, pearl drop earrings and a pearl bracelet that was gifted to her from her mom and a diamond bracelet which was a wedding gift from Dylan. Jennifer’s something borrowed was a special one — her nana’s purse that she used at her wedding, which was extremely important to Jennifer as she passed just a month before the wedding. In her hair, she also had two pearl pins fastened into the bottom of the bun. Paired with that timeless bun, pulling her hair away from her face, she went full glam for her makeup with darker eyes and full lashes. Her makeup was only enhanced by the fact that for a full year leading up to her wedding, she got hydrofacial treatments every other month and she swears by this, saying it changed her skin. Meanwhile, groom Dylan and his groomsmen fall wore classic tuxes. Dylan’s, though, was a custom tux with an emerald green jacket and a black lapel. His shoes were a patent leather loafer and he wore custom golf cuff links with their dog engraved.
Although Dylan and Jennifer didn’t meet until after college, they actually attended the same middle and high school together. And it was actually Jennifer’s mom who’s responsible for the two finally meeting. Dylan worked for the same company as her mom and while they were at happy hour after work, Jennifer’s mom invited her to stop by. On a whim, Jennifer decided to go to meet her mom for a drink and found herself being introduced to Dylan followed by a short conversation. That night, Dylan messaged her on Instagram, like all true modern-day love stories begin, and asked for her number. Fast forward a few years and Dylan knew it was time. The couple had plans to spend the day at one of their favorite places, Laurita Winery. Her sister and her sister’s boyfriend at the time, Bobby, joined them for what Jennifer assumed would be a fun fall day filled with wine and food trucks. When they arrived at the winery, she soon realized there were bigger plans in play. Dylan got down on one knee and asked her to marry him while their families hid close by. After an incredible day celebrating at the winery, they went home to their apartment where Dylan had set up a surprise party with all of their friends and family.
Favorite memories: “Although it is extremely hard to pick, walking down the aisle with my dad to Dylan takes the cake. I made sure to look around at everyone who was there during that walk and it was overwhelming to say the least. The trolley ride from the church to Bryant Park was especially memorable as our entire wedding party burst into their own rendition of ‘New York, New York.’” Don’t forget the father -daughter dance to Little Bird by the Jonas Brothers (Jennifer is a Jonas super fan to say the least).
Jennifer explains, “We had a memory table with candles to memorialize my Nana, Pop-Pop, and Grandmom who unfortunately passed on. I found other family members took great comfort in seeing their familiar faces when they walked into the reception. We had personalized matchbooks created for guests to take, iconic New York black and white cookies for takeaways, and our signature cocktail, an espresso martini, was named after our dog ‘The Kennedy’ and a cannoli cake. I also had a charm on my bouquet that was given to me by my mom and sister the morning of the wedding that had three black and white photos of my grandparents on it.”

Are We in Our Skincare Era?
BY DANIELLE R. HARTER, PA-C, ARTISTRY LUXURY INJECTABLES
Congratulations, you’re getting married! You found the perfect dress, the best fitting tux, or you’re outfitted as the mother-of to the nines… what have you forgotten?
One of the most overlooked (or often rushed) areas of wedding prep is the thing you see most — skincare and skin prep! Unlike a quick spray tan or set of glue-on lashes, the best skin comes from planning as much in advance
as possible; just like you’ve planned out all the perfect details of your wedding.
Take my advice, I’m a practicing and certified Physician Associate with over 14 years of experience in aesthetic medicine. I’ve prepped plenty of brides, mothers-of, and even grooms (!) for their big days over the years! At my aesthetic medicine business, Artistry Luxury Injectables, we love helping the entire wedding party prepare and prep to put their best face forward on the wedding
day!
Let’s break this down by the unique issues you may be wanting to pour more self love into! Read on for how to get your best skin ever for your best day ever!
Dull Skin: Feeling like your skin is dry, dull, lifeless? Wanting to perk it up for that beautiful newlywed glow? Skincare is your best friend for the next several months! A twice daily skincare regimen is key — one tailored to your specific skin needs with specific products and goals in mind. Routine facials and add-ons like dermaplaning or micro-needling will help make your skin dewy and glowy! The sooner the you can start a personalized skincare regimen, the better! It takes approximately eight weeks to see the full effects of a consistent skincare regimen; and certain treatments (like retinols, microneedling, peels and lasers) require time for the skin to adjust or some downtime and recovery to appreciate their full effect! Seek the advice of a trusted and licensed esthetician to help guide you with skincare and establish a relationship with a licensed and experienced medical professional early on in your planning timeline to help make the most out of time and treatment design!
Wrinkles: Wedding planning is bound to add a few wrinkles to your face; but with the proper prep, planning and patience, we can make you wrinkle-free! Many wrinkles are caused by dynamic muscle movement (those of your forehead, between your brows and the ones around your eyes). These wrinkles are best targeted by relaxing the muscles that cause them with the use of neurotoxins (aka
Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, Xeomin, Daxxify). Wrinkle relaxer treatments should be performed by a licensed medical professional and one skilled in their administration and use. Many of your friends or colleagues likely already see a trusted aesthetic medicine provider; so asking for recommendations from those you trust and admire, or finding a local provider through a Google review search is a good place to start! It’s best to plan out your pre-wedding tox accordingly — the sooner you start, the longer you will have for full skin relaxation and that beautiful tox glow. Because these medications take up to two weeks to fully settle in, you’ll want to allow at least four to six weeks before your wedding day from your last treatment. Establishing a good relationship with your provider well in advance will allow them to learn your optimal dosing and facial design to achieve the absolute best results for your wedding day!
Dermal fillers and biostimulators are also vital treatments for wrinkles related to volume loss. These treatments help restore volume and skin support and can be used in various areas of the face to rejuvenate and restore a more youthful appearance. Again, just like wrinkle relaxers, starting your care with a licensed and trusted aesthetic medicine provider early-on in your planning process will allow the best planning timeline to accomplish your goals. Many fi ller or biostimulator treatments require a series to achieve optimal results and time to provide full effects. Other treatments, like lasers, microneedling and ultrasonic devices, are also comprehensive therapies to
consider. Certain skin concerns, like heavy upper eyelids and severe volume loss, may be best addressed with a surgical consult; so early planning is key to explore all your options.
Pigment/Texture/Tone: The outer layer of our skin, called the epidermis, shows the worst symptoms of aging, like fine lines, large pores and deep pigment; but these issues actually arise from cellular changes in the second layer, called the dermis. While a skincare regimen is key in helping to treat those concerns; we often need more comprehensive and aggressive treatments to help improve or fully resolve these symptoms. Therapies that target the various layers of our skin specifically include lasers, radiofrequency microneedling, ultrasonic devices and peels. Therapies like peels and lasers can help with pigment and collagen production, while treatments like RF microneedling and ultrasound help with collagen and elastin to help target texture and skin elasticity.
And don’t forget other more subtle areas like the neck, décolleté, earlobes, hands and other areas of the body! Hands are especially an area many mothers-of like to address with pigment reducing and volumizing therapies. They will of course be front and center in many photos with your beloved child. Earlobe revolumization with filler helps your earrings sit just perfectly to frame your face! And other body therapies, like noninvasive fat reduction and muscle tightening treatments or invasive surgical interventions to help tighten, tone and restore are other
treatments to consider early on in your planning.
The key to getting your best wedding self is an early consult to discuss your goals and outline your personalized timeline. Many of my patients are on a year long or greater planning timeline (if their wedding planning timeline permits!). I personally had to plan my wedding timeline last year in less than six months, so getting a later start on your skincare journey doesn’t mean you don’t still have plenty of options for your wedding glow up! One of my favorite experiences as a provider is prepping the entire wedding party (I’ve had many instances of treating the brides, the mothers-of, the groom and many wedding party members) for the big event! The best feeling is seeing you look radiant, con fident and stunning in your wedding photos!

There’s a certain vibe that editorial posing gives o ff. It’s one of elegance and drama. It’s classy and sophisticated without being too stuffy. It’s flirty, but also sweet. This was the exact feeling Briley and Jaden were striving for with their engagement session.
The inspiration behind the concept for this shoot was a classy, editorial look at the Tennessee state capitol in Nashville. Briley wore an elegant white, strapless mini dress and paired it with long, white gloves that featured the puffy fashion trend. Meanwhile, Jaden wore a classic

Hang your wedding gown by the loops found inside your wedding gown that are connected to the sturdy side seams; never hang it by the fragile shoulder seams that can stretch or sag under the weight of your gown.
Avoid storing your wedding gown in a plastic bag (even a clean sheet is better than a plastic bag) or in a vacuumsealed, plastic-wrapped container because plastic bags emit fumes that can yellow your wedding gown and shrink- wrapped containers trap moisture that can mildew your wedding gown. Also, the static electricity from the plastic plus the trapped moisture combine to set wrinkles that cannot be pressed out of your gown.
Avoid storing your wedding gown in the attic or basement where there are extreme changes in temperature or humidity.
Inspect your wedding gown personally before it is put into the container, which should be a completely acid-free, archival-quality wedding chest lined with fabric or acid-free tissue.

No Apologies Necessary
Consider what it is you want and then move brazenly in that direction. That way, you’ll look back on your wedding celebrations with a smile knowing they were exactly what you hoped they’d be.
It’s easy to get caught up in the title wave of conformity.
Before interviewing with Peter Langner, a world-renowned dress designer, and Haley Fox, a former bride, we have seen the shift in wedding celebrations. Gone are the days where white or off-white are the most common colors for a wedding dress. Red, black, and even pale blue are being showcased more and more. Wedding weekends hit hard and they are not going anywhere anytime soon. In fact, the longer the celebration for a wedding now, the
better. However, they don’t all look the same and that’s exactly the point.
Having gone through this herself, Fox sheds light on the importance of being present in the moment and tuning out the outside noise. “Don’t work yourself up over the planning, events, and decorations. Be present and enjoy your time with your closest friends. None of the other stuff matters,” she shares with us. Even Langner’s tip for brides searching for their attire is to “prioritize feeling beautiful and comfortable. It’s not about following specific
rules or traditions, but about being a radiant bride-to-be. The outfit should reflect her personality and make her feel her best, just like her wedding dress.”
The scene at The Floriana says it all really, highlighting the concept that the very common bachelor and bachelorette parties have recently joined forces becoming what more couples are opting to do called a joint bach party, which is a celebration for both partners.
Fox and her now-husband selected to do a joint bach party themselves, and when recollecting on the decision, she elaborated, “We have such a large friend group and both ‘sides’ get along so well, we decided to throw one big bash! We skii’d [in Colorado] and explored and spent some good quality time together.”
When asked if she would recommend the decision to friends, she even says, “Yes 12/10 would recommend to friends.”
Truthfully, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that the most vital component to these celebrations, any celebration truly, is to be confident in every way imaginable. It doesn’t matter what everyone has to say, but rather what do you think? What is it you want? And execute on that! Even Langner leaves the decision up to the wearer, telling us, “When I design, my focus is to create pieces that make women feel beautiful for special occasions and memorable moments in their lives. My goal is to craft dresses with a wow factor that can also be worn for various events.” He doesn’t design the beautiful dresses with any one event, moment, or vision in mind, but rather leaves it a blank canvas for the wearer to paint on as they wish.
As we prepped for the shoot, Fox asked us what it was we were aiming for photographing in a bar and the answer was quite simple: chemistry. Fox and her now-husband have an undeniable chemistry that came through when we first were introduced to them after their engagement session while they were planning their wedding. The truth is, if you love someone and there’s chemistry and you let yourselves be exactly that—yourselves—then you don’t have to worry about apologizing. It was quite obvious that at times the couple seemed to forget the camera was even on them. It was as though they were fully absorbed in one another and it was a date night for them. They were relaxed and seemed to be having fun, perhaps even flirting now and again. “There was much less nerves and pressure knowing for the shoot there would only be a few people looking at me in the moment. The big day was much more nerve-
wracking, but in the best way! I’ve never felt like more of a main character in my life,” Fox notes regarding the difference between this shoot and her actual wedding day.
In addition to the couple’s palpable chemistry, the fashion was undeniably enticing and the designer dress by Peter Langner had a certain lure to it that had our jaws dropping from the moment it was spotted. The design (style 240012) was unique and innovative, but also trendy and elegant. So what inspired that particular design? Langner says, “We love short dresses! Recently, we’ve been particularly obsessed with them. They are versatile, fresh, and contemporary—perfect for the new generation of brides and party enthusiasts. We were inspired by the jacquard fabric, which captures the colors of the sky at sunset, making it ideal for spring and summer events. The architectural lines of the style are very Peter Langner, embodying our signature style.”
Danielle & Josh
Romantic and monochromatic celestial white with red bottom everything (including their adorable Frenchie, affectionately named Loubi) as an ode to the couple’s mutual love of the shoe designer and upscale luxurious touches of gold. Romantic roses with muted tones of eucalyptus and white reflexed roses and enough candles bathed the space in a warm ooey-gooey glow. Decor aside, what made this wedding special was that they respected who they are as a couple and kept the intricacies of their relationship that they love so much at the heart of every decision, from choosing each individual chef’s station item, to curating an exclusive bar menu, to picking matching reception shoes and choreographing a first dance to the cheeky “Alright, Ok, You Win,” they always made sure everything came from an organic place in their hearts.
For Danielle, the shoes came before the dress — Sandale du Désert Louboutins for their high fashion accents coupled with bits of sexy but also classic style. Between her and Josh, they had four Louboutins for the ceremony and reception, five if you count their Frenchie). The dress was a harder find, but on a whim at a prom boutique, she found an off-the-rack clearance gown
Danielle and Josh met serendipitously on Bumble after they both created manifestation lists of their perfect partners. Danielle jokes that Josh ruined her online dating experience by coming along so soon in her online dating life (they had their first date in less than 3 days after she joined). Josh planned the perfect first date to the Pittsburgh Botanical Gardens, but truth be told they were both already smitten with each other. Eight hours into their first date and an afternoon turning into a late night dinner definitely fore-told that they were in for something special in finding each other.
A week after meeting, Josh attended a work trip to FL where he FaceTimed Danielle every morning from Higgs Pier in Key West for sunrise. Their love blossomed quickly over a few days of sunrises and smiles. So much so that Josh told Danielle on that trip he was in love with her, the feeling was very mutual. They returned to that same pier in Key West less than an eighteen months later where, over sunrise, Josh pulled out a beautiful Ti ff any blue box and asked Danielle to be his wife.
And the engagement ring has a story of its own. Danielle explains, “I wanted a pearshaped stone; a cut that is more difficult to find in a Tiffany standard diamond. Josh found the perfect pear while on a work trip to Las Vegas, a ring he got into a bidding war with a couple from Atlanta to secure! All the while Danielle was unbeknowingly shopping in Christian Louboutin a few shops down. When Josh met Danielle in the store right after buying the ring, Danielle told him there was a pair of Chambeliss shoes that she’d buy him for their wedding when they got engaged! Three months later, she made good on her promise and bought him his wedding shoes before they even picked out a tux for him!
Josh’s favorite memories are sabering the champagne bottle, their first dance, walking down the aisle with Loubi and seeing Danielle walk down the aisle, as well as marrying Danielle and “everything”.
Danielle’s favorites are the morning they spent together before the wedding, seeing Loubi dressed up in his tux, photos in the vintage car, riding to the venue with Josh, really spending the whole day with and preparing to marry her favorite person!
The cut cake was a classic white wedding cake with buttercream icing made by Danielle’s mom with her Bubba’s recipe. Mom also made over 2,000 cookies for their Pittsburgh Cookie Table. Their served wedding cake was a raspberry tiramisu paired with Lambic’s Framboise.

Wanted, Wild, and Soon-to-be Wed
This bride’s bachelorette party lasted three nights and to make things really fun, she had a theme for each night. Her and the girls seriously rocked the themes, selecting a venue with decor, food, and outfits that were truly inspiring for each one.
The first night the theme was Wanted, Wild, and Soon-to-be Wed. Obviously they broke out the country girl chic, the bride donning a white strapless patterned dress with a high slit and ruffles on the bottom and up the slit. She paired the dress beautifully with a white cowgirl hat and brown boots that even had a white floral pattern on the toe part.
The second night they took the always classic and ever trending theme, La Dolce Vita, to Birba. The bride wore a more relaxed white maxi dress with a plunging neckline and long sleeves. It had sheer fabric and paired perfectly with the tall platform white heels. Naturally, the girls all wore fun, vibrant colors, such as pink and orange with opentoe shoes.

For the third night, things got a little bit cheeky when the bride opted for a dinner and sleepover afterward. The theme was Sleeping with the Bride and it was a memorable PJ/ lingerie party filled with giggles and lots of fun, but first they enjoyed a private dinner courtesy of Let’s Hibachi and it was fabulous.
Swanky Bachelor and Bachelorette Dinner Party Ideas
BY CHEF SERGE KRIKORIAN, VIBRANT OCCASIONS CATERING
As the wedding season is in full swing, the excitement of planning prewedding celebrations is palpable. If you're aiming to host an upscale, unforgettable bachelor or bachelorette dinner party, we’ve got you covered with some chic ideas. From elegant dining to immersive experiences, let’s dive into creating a night that will be remembered.
Setting the Scene: Choosing the perfect venue is crucial for setting the tone of your party. Opt for a sophisticated space such as a trendy Airbnb or an elegantly decorated private home. Soft lighting, scented candles, and stylish table settings can transform any location into an intimate, swanky setting. Ensure there’s a designated area for music and dancing to keep the energy lively and fun.
Culinary Experience: Elevate your dinner party with gourmet catering. Consider curating a delectable menu that suits all tastes and dietary preferences for an elevated
dinner party experience. Begin with a mix of passed and stationary hors d’oeuvres.
Imagine guests enjoying burrata with basil pesto and roasted grape tomatoes on bruschetta or savoring mini lox and bagel bites with house-smoked salmon.
Interactive Appetizers: Create a dynamic experience with both passed and stationary appetizers. Stationary treats like burrata bruschetta allow guests to mingle freely, while passed delights such as tomato bisque with grown-up grilled cheese add a sophisticated touch. This interactive setup keeps the atmosphere lively and encourages conversation.
Elegant Plated Dinner: When planning a plated dinner, aim for a balanced and memorable culinary experience that caters to all dietary preferences. Start with a light and refreshing salad to awaken the palate. For the main course, offer a rich, flavorful protein, such as cabernet-braised beef short ribs, paired with complementary sides like creamy Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and roasted broccolini. Additionally, ensure you have options for your vegan and vegetarian guests. For example, a delicious roasted vegetable risotto or a hearty portobello mushroom steak can provide a satisfying alternative. This approach ensures that each course harmonizes with the others, offering a wellrounded and inclusive dining experience for all your guests.
Decadent Desserts: Finish the evening with a selection of indulgent desserts that cater to a variety of tastes. When planning your dessert menu, consider offering a mix of fl avors and textures to satisfy di ff erent preferences. For example, you might include a creamy mousse cake, a tangy fruit panna cotta, and a classic pastry. These options not only provide a delightful end to the meal but also add a touch of luxury to the celebration. When planning your dessert menu, consider offering options that accommodate guests with dietary needs, such as sugar-free and gluten-free alternatives. For example, alongside the creamy mousse cake and tangy fruit panna cotta, you might include a refreshing fruit sorbet or a decadent flourless chocolate cake. These thoughtful additions ensure that all guests can indulge in the sweet finale of your dinner party, regardless of their dietary preferences.
Stylish Entertainment: Much like a delicate seasoning enhances the flavors of a dish, music enriches the dining experience by engaging multiple senses. Enlist a skilled DJ or live musician to craft a playlist that complements your culinary creations, enhancing every bite with rhythm and melody. Then, as the meal concludes, let the music inspire your guests to dance the night away, creating lasting memories of a truly unforgettable evening.
Documenting the Celebration: Enhance your venue's ambiance with a captivating photo backdrop, whether it's an elegant floral wall, whimsical balloon arch, or intricate fabric draping. Collaborate with professionals to create a picturesque setting
for capturing cherished moments. Then, ensure every aspect of your celebration is beautifully documented by enlisting the expertise of a professional photographer and videographer. From candid snapshots to carefully posed portraits, they'll skillfully capture the essence of your event. Discuss your preferences for specific shots, whether it's group photos, individual portraits, or spontaneous candid moments, to ensure a comprehensive and stunning record of your special day.
Infuse the party with personal touches that reflect the bride or groom’s style. Whether hosting in your home or renting a stylish venue, the key is to make every detail resonate with their preferences and personalities. With gourmet catering, stylish décor, lively music, professional photography, you’re set for an extraordinary celebration. Gather your closest friends, put on your best attire, and prepare for a night filled with

The wedding inspiration was a blend of luxury and tropical paradise with a touch of pastel romance woven throughout. Lush greenery, elegant pastel pinks and touches of gold, all coming together to create a scene straight out of a dream — enchanting and seductive. And of course, no tropical paradise would be complete without an abundance of stunning floral arrangements, featuring roses and hydrangeas in full bloom, adding a touch of natural beauty to our magical day. The reception dinner looked so romantic and beautiful with a view of the ocean and stayed separate from the party, turning the room into a nightclub with shades of pink and pops of red, and of course disco balls.
Bianca & Andie
Andie and Bianca met in high school, way back in 2014. It was one of those classic moments, Bianca tells us. “Like something out of a cheesy teen romance movie, where our eyes met across the crowded hallway, and suddenly, nothing else mattered but each other.”
After many years a part, they reunited in the Keys, making that the perfect spot for their wedding. But before the wedding came the proposal. Bianca shares, “Our engagement was nothing short of magical. Picture this: the sun setting over the turquoise waters of Curaçao, a gentle breeze carrying the scent of the ocean, and there we were, in the midst of paradise at Sandals Resort. And on Christmas Day, amidst the warmth and joy of the season, Andie took my hand, dropped to one knee, and asked me to be his forever. It was a moment frozen in time, filled with love, laughter, and promises of forever.”
“

Modern Love
Augsburg, Germany
Melanie Rotter Fotografie
Classic elegance meets contemporary style with this editorial that celebrates modern love in an urban setting. Which is exactly what the modeling couple, Lucia and Robin, and photographer, Melanie Rotter, was going for when they collaborated on this editorial. As Rotter tells us, “We wanted to inspire future bridal couples to show their unique love stories with modernity that is both beautiful and memorable. All vendors that were included were from the area around Augsburg to integrate sustainability and regionality.”
