I once read somewhere that kindness is fashionable. Too many people view kindness as weakness, but I have always and will always see it as strength. Its little secret fashion makes me happy; well the same can be said of kindness — both being kind and receiving kindness from others. If you’re so lucky to connect with Alyssa (the bride on the cover of this issue), you’ll notice two things immediately: she’s fashionable and she’s the *very* de nition of kind. GET THE JUICY FOLLOW ALONG WITH US
I remember the rst time I had the immense pleasure of connecting with Alyssa and Anthony. It was fall of 2022 and our friend Sharon (owner of Pretty Petal Papers) posted photos from their engagement session. NGL I was immediately drawn in by Alyssa’s shoes (super fashionable!) and the smiles on their faces. They looked so in

There was no question — the cover of the wedding issue had to be Alyssa and

Anthony. Their wedding was beyond measure and getting to hear from their loved true honor. Here’s to the most fashionable (read: kind) couple around. Thank you for entrusting us with your story.

You Need Custom
That said, you’re probably wondering what goes in one. Well, it’s customizable, so it’s up to you what you choose to put in yours. Really, it can serve
as a save-the-date, invitation, or ceremony program. It can include a thank you note, welcome bag itinerary, or even list out the wedding party and members of the couple’s family. Another fun idea: you can use it as a way to tell your love story, for those guests who haven’t been there every step of the way. Often times you can even select between monochromatic or color. If you’re looking for true vintage vibes, then monochromatic is the way to go, but if modern is more your thing then that’s why color’s an option.

E
xtra, extra, read all about it! Seriously, maybe at one point in time newspapers were so totally yesterday, but, darling, get with the times, because vintage meets modern is in like Flynn and wedding newspapers are all the rage. I mean, who didn’t see this coming, really? Do you know how many brides we’ve seen in their getting ready rooms posing with their newspaper? Think: Audrey Hepburn vibes, hair in an updo, wearing a silk robe with feathers, red lipstick, maybe sunglasses on top of your head, legs crossed, and your wedding newspaper in your hand. I’d bet you’re loving every single thing you just read, which is why you *need* custom wedding newspapers. They’re trendy, they’re chic, and they give you a major photo op.

No matter what you choose to put in the newspaper, it’s such a beautiful keepsake that you can cherish forever.

Krista & Trent
This November wedding channeled the beauty of the season with a silver and emerald green color palette, lending itself to the timeless romance theme the couple was going for. For their orals, they went on-trend at the time with all white owers and greenery — white roses, white orchids, white wax, white lisianthus, and Italian ruscus. Beauty of the wedding aside, what made the day most magical for this couple was all the people who showed up for them, making them feel blessed and overwhelmed with love!

SPRING | VOL. 4 12
For her bridesmaids, their look came together a bit easier. Once they knew their date and theme, she knew emerald green would t perfectly for their dresses. Leaning into the fun trend of di erent styles and textures, Krista let her girls pick whatever dress they felt their best in. In the end, the velvet and satin worked beautifully together.
ff
For her hair and makeup, soft glam was the order of the day. Krista went with extensions, which she highly recommends, achieving those soft glam waves with face-framing pieces. For her makeup, she shares, airbrushing got her that incredible soft glam look. fi
fi
When shopping for her dress, Krista wanted to feel like herself, but also feel like a bride. What she had in mind originally turned out to be nothing she wanted. “I thought I wanted a fully lace or beaded gown, but nothing felt right,” she explains. In the end, it was the rst crepe gown she tried on that gave her those bridal feelings, knowing it was the one. The Parker gown from Jenny Yoo, in particular. For the reception, she changed into the Valora Mini dress from ShowPo.

Trent’s favorite part of any wedding, we’re told, is the wedding cake, so of course they had to have two! For their traditional cake, they went with French toast avored cake with caramel lling and vanilla butter cream. Alongside that, sat the hit of the night, the pancake cake that looked like a stack of pancakes.

What your wedding date says about the future of your union. WITH ASTROLOGER LUMI PELINKU
Y
ou likely know your zodiac sign based on your birthday, but did you know that your wedding date has a zodiac sign too? Astrology has long been a tool used to observe personalities, but when it comes to your marriage, it may be able to help determine the future of your union. More so, it can help bridge gaps between a couple, enabling empathy and con dence in a love story, according to so Lumi Pelinku. Lumi Pelinku is a professional astrologer and women’s transformation coach in NYC and she has shared with us astrological insights.
Skip the Cynicism “A couple’s synastry reveals the characteristics each spouse will bring to the table involving their progression,” Pelinku shares. “At the same time, the wedding date draws in the lter and whether they will navigate through in alig n m e n t with th eir relat io ns hip signatures. The wedding chart, when cast, has to complement the couple.” When Pelinku reads these for couples, they see a more active role in what they will be working with while they are married. “It extends an ad d it io n al laye r of ex p e r ie n c e s an d opportunities for them to grow, and can allow the couple to thrive as it can enhance their strengths while better equipping them to sort out their weaknesses in the union. Every celestial point in the birth chart presents the tools the couple will work within their marriage.” Planets and Wedding Charts
fl
Pelinku explains, by way of example, “The key factor of the wedding chart cast is to look at the love planets, Venus and Mars, and what
fi
fi
It’s Your Marriage Horoscope
aspects they make with each other. These two celestial points will determine the love, values, a n d p h y s i c a l d r i v e /s e x u a l i t y o f t h e partnership. This also applies to the other planets in question. The inner planets will be more of the active agents of in uence for the couple (everyday life), while outer planets are more longer-term lessons (soul evolution).” She goes on to say, “Also, looking at the moon sign and the wedding chart's position will invoke the emotionality and security the couple will navigate in their marriage. The moon's position in a couple’s chart is also one of the most important factors to consider in the wedding chart. It is best to work with the moon waxing in a wedding chart and avoid eclipse season when your wedding is held.” “When casting a wedding chart, looking out for the individual's needs involving love and values is essential. This is best done by looking at each spouse’s birth chart, sifting through how they navigate love and life. Realistically, every person has strengths and weaknesses, as there is no ‘perfect’ birth or wedding chart.”
Pelinku’s Advice According to Your Wedding Date Sign Aries: March 21 - April 19 Marriage will be pioneering, inspiring, and ery. Mars will set the tone for this union to be ambitious and constantly on the move. It would serve you both if you regularly arrange an intimate date night to ensure your relationship remains nourished. Taurus: April 20 - May 20 With Venus leading your love story, it can be soft, sensual, and beautiful. Indulgence and a lack of momentum is a possibility. To best support your progression as a couple, set down boundaries and goals to ensure you stay on track. Gemini: May 21 - June 20 Long discussions and engaging the mind will be your motto as a union. With Mercury, the messenger planet, on your side, you are in for a ow of non-stop information and debates. This may be fun, but be conscious of the information exchanged and re ect carefully. Re ective listening will help your marriage thrive. Cancer: June 21 - July 22 The Moon is the ruler of your love, and this sets the tone of a stable home, love, and family. This placement can be emotion- lled, and the sensitivity can run high. Hold space for communicating your wants and needs, as this union may be introverted, and assuming

Find Your Sign each party can read the other may create a misstep in long-term plans. Leo: July 23 - August 22 This solar-ruled union can expect marriage themes involving fun, regality, and pride. The creativity has to run wild, and becoming accepting and honoring each other ’s individuality is vital for this marriage to thrive. Have regular discussions about each other’s plans and cheer each other on no matter what stage you are in your journey. Virgo: August 23 - September 22 Mercury rules your marriage story, and this love will be service-oriented, caring, and organized. As a task-based union, you may fall into a constant routine and live on autopilot without factoring in your feelings as the barometer of future decisions. Hone in on getting in touch with vulnerability and focus on your love to nd your balance. Libra: September 23 - October 22 The pristine Venus rules your marriage, and this is a sweet union lled with endearing and romantic gestures. Maintaining appearance and a constant need for perfection may be the kryptonite of this partnership, as your true feelings may reside behind a façade. Get into practice expressing what is on your mind before you fester it in a blowout later.
Scorpio: October 23 - November 21 Pluto, the planet of sex, regeneration, and mystery, rules your love. Your marriage has a dark edge of power, control, and intensity as you will constantly evolve with each other. Love grows as you become understanding of each other’s human imperfections. Engaging with empathy and inner work will assist your relationship and bridge misunderstandings. Sagittarius: November 22 - December 21 Travels, aspirations, and higher learning will nourish this Jupiter-ruled marriage. Your love story has a bohemian touch as you will learn that freedom and expansion will evolve you to a higher state. There is a tendency to get lost in the ideas and veering o into a faraway land, physically or mentally. Organize a set of goals to pursue professionally and intimately as a couple. Structure is key to keeping this union secure. Capricorn: December 22 - January 19 As Saturn leads the marriage dynamics, this partnership will be lled with structure, goals, and success. You may enwrap yourselves into becoming doers instead of dreamers in your love. It will be nourishing to lighten up and enjoy the in nite opportunities of your love story by enjoying all that you built—book regular vacations or getaways to add a dash of fantasy.
while focusing on the greater good of humanity. Arranging periodic couples retreat programs can boost your con dence in your love while building intimacy. Pisces: February 19 - March 20 Neptune, the planet of mysticism, dreams, and divinity, will infuse this union. It is as though you are walking through a dream that morphs in alignment with your beliefs and is shaped by your creative vision. Your thoughts and actions will re ect the tone of this union in a divinely touched way. Your union can get overly emotional and misty as you may fall too deep with your unspoken sensitivity. Get grounded by expressing your feelings and arrange regular heart-to-heart discussions.
SCAN FOR KEY TERMS IN HOW PLANETS WORK IN WEDDING CHARTS
Aquarius: January 20 - February 18 This union will be community-based, otherworldly, spacey, and modern. With the planet Uranus ruling the course of your love, there may be periods of separation and independence. It is not necessarily going to result in a nite parting of ways. However, it can result in feeling the need for autonomy

For Megan one important consideration when dress shopping for her and her girls was comfort, but that didn’t mean she wanted to sacri ce elegance. Her bridesmaid dress pick became easy, turning to Jenny Yoo in a variety of styles at Bella Bridesmaids Baltimore. For her wedding dress, there were a few must haves that Jimmy Huang Bridal was able to satisfy, namely a leg slit and a sleek and plain style. The dress she chose was “Tracy” — a strapless Vneck with a two inch band at the waist and full skirt with side pockets. And paired with classic pumps covered in pearls, it made just the right fashion-forward statement. As for beauty, in keeping with popular advice, Megan kept to her everyday look but elevated it a bit, resulting in a beautiful up-do and subtle glam makeup.
fi
The groom and his groomsmen turned to Men’s Warehouse for a truly timeless look — black tuxes and white shirts with vests and bow ties.
“
Do what makes your day special to the both of you. Remember it’s the two of you starting a new family and it’s important to keep that in the forefront. The wedding day is not the end of planning, but the beginning of your whole lives together — so there is still much to be excited for even when it’s over!” —Megan
fi
When asked what her favorite memory was, Megan had a hard time picking, but ultimately she said she loved dancing with her husband, family and friends all night. Likely because, as she says, their DJ brought the wedding to life, helping to create an amazing energy and atmosphere for them and their guests!
And for their music selections, Megan walked down the aisle to the classic, Here Comes the Bride; for their reception entrance they entered to Bella Conmigo and their rst dance was to You’re the Reason by Olivia Penevola.

Rebecca Anne Designs In your words, what does it mean to be a bespoke designer? Being a bespoke designer is an incredibly rewarding and personalised journey that revolves around creating unique, tailormade pieces for each individual client. I absolutely adore the one-to-one and collaborative nature of working with brides, as it allows me to truly understand their vision and bring it to life in the form of a

personalised wedding veil. Collaborating with brides and discovering their wedding plans is a delightful experience. A particular highlight is being entrusted with the secret details of the wedding dress to aid in the design process. More than just a job, being a bespoke designer is an honor. It's a privilege to play a role in creating something so meaningful for a bride's special day. The veil becomes not just an accessory but a symbol of her unique love story and personal style. Each veil carries a piece of the bride's personality and the shared vision we've cultivated, making it a truly cherished part of her bridal styling. What inspires you? My primary inspiration for my veil designs comes directly from my brides—it might sound a bit cliche, but their stories, personalities, and visions truly fuel my creative proces s. I take pride in incorporating unique elements for each bride, like embroidering the wedding date or

the couples initials in a discreet yet signi cant location on the veil (a particular favourite is near the left hand — perfect for
photo opportunities with their new rings!). Some brides have even asked for outline illustrations of their pets to be embroidered within their oral designs. Additionally, there's a certain magic in capturing the handwriting of loved ones and delicately tracing it onto the fabric. These personal touches add an extra layer of sentiment and create heirloom pieces that not only enhance the beauty of the veil but also hold profound emotional value for the bride, making the entire design process a deeply meaningful and cherished experience. What’s the most iconic look you’ve created? I'd say my signature artwork is what makes any of my veils iconic, alongside the personalised details that can be woven into any design. For me, the larger scale designs are the most distinctive and eye-catching. One aspect I particularly enjoy is handdrawing orals in my signature continuous line art style. The transformation from sketch to stitch is a fascinating journey, allowing me to bring the romantic and organic elements of nature into the intricate details of each veil (I still watch my embroidery machines in awe when I see my artwork coming to life!). It's a heartfelt and artistic approach that adds a personal touch to every design, ensuring that each piece is a re ection of the bride it is created for. + THERE’S MORE FROM OUR INTERVIEW

These Shoes are Made for Talkin’ Using psychology to break down personalities based on fashion choices.
I
was a psych major in college for a hot minute, so I’m going to be putting those tough courses and exam studying to good use and give you the 411 on shoe psychology, ‘cause, yes, it’s a thing. Shoes, like many other fashion choices are a strong give away into who someone is. The rst thing you see, sure, is a person’s face, but when your eyes keep scanning (because we all know they do !) they’re going to take you straight down to their shoes. Ever dated a man who wears old, ragged sneakers and cringed because you can *only* imagine his other dirty little secrets? Or how about the man that you know cleans the bottom of his shoes after ever single outing because they’re spotless and shining. Shoeshining, it’s still a thing, right? Needless to say, your choice of shoe can say a lot about your personality, and it’s quite interesting actually. If you’re into that sort of thing, which you know you are, because who isn’t?! So let’s break it down…
A Shoe for Every ‘Fit vs Wearing the Same Pair Until They Walk Away (on Their Own) The starting point for every good conversation about shoes: Are you a show fanatic or do you believe in wearing your shoes ‘til they’re good and done? This question is a good one and the dichotomy interesting… It can be convenience because that person just wants to wear the same shoe every day and not have to worry about variety. Hey, if the pair of pumps are black and they happen to go with all of your out ts, I’ve de nitely had besties that have worn them until they either broke or were worn out. Then it was o to the next shoe that they seriously got their bang for their buck out of. On the other hand, some people need variety, they crave it. Are you that girl who needs to have a di erent breakfast every morning because the thought of the same bowl of oatmeal makes you sick? Yes, well, it doesn’t necessarily mean that if you have a shoe closet you’re more “fashiony” it just means that you’re more aware of the fashion choices you’re making and choose to have your shoes make a statement that you’re fashion-forward, love dressing up, and desire variety. Walk into the o ce every day with a di erent pair of shoes, and I bet all your co-workers will swoon over your shoes every single day. They’ll never bore of you or your fashion selection. Some might even envy you, wishing they, too, had the choices you have. But they don’t know what you know, you’ll actually bore yourself if you don’t have a shoe closet. Ahem, I feel ya!

Personality Traits + Shoe Choices Your shoe choices reveal something about your personality, so what do they mean exactly? Closed-toe vs Open-toe There’s really no personality traits that can be revealed from this. Some might say those willing to wear an open-toe shoe are more “risqué” especially as a female, because they’re typically frowned upon at the workplace due to their seductive or casual manner (it depends on the boss, the situation, and the attitude of the person saying the statement). Generally s p e ak i ng , clo s e d - to e s h o e s are m o re introverted and comfortable. They’re the choice you select when you don’t want to cause a scene or make a fuss, you merely want to go about your day and do what you have to do. On the other hand, some people may just be hot in closed-toe shoes and prefer to let those baddies get some air. Flat vs High Heel
fl
fl
fl
fi
If you prefer ats over heels, then you’re an introvert. You’re likely not interested in making a fuss about yourself. You don’t need credit or want it, and you’d much rather be behind-the-
scenes. Likewise, you’re humble and don’t need praise if you’ve done a job well done. If you prefer high heels over ats, then you’re m o r e ex t r ove r te d . Yo u h ave a d r ive , con dence, and determination about you that is unmatched. Ain’t nobody going to tell you what you should be doing. You’re going to play to the beat of your own drum and that’s okay! You’re always open to new ideas (in fact you love them) and love the opportunities that come along with your open attitude. Go get ‘em! Rounded-toe vs Pointed-toe Those who prefer a rounded-toe are typically much more friendly and ready to listen to what you have to say and implement it. They’ll change their ways and adapt. You’re not looking to be overpowering or demand attention, like a pointed-toe shoe wearer might be, you’re much more looking for some waves and smiling faces as they pass you by. Those who wear a pointed-toe heel are less likely to go with the ow. Nine times out of ten, it’s their way or the highway. They’re listen to your ideas and commentary, but don’t bet on them actually doing anything with your advice.
Who Think Shoes are Pretty Accessories You’re not focused on being trendy or fashionforward. You don’t sweat the small stu ! You’d elope if you could (or if your parents weren’t begging to see their little girl get married). You’d be happy with a simple ceremony with a few friends and family. As long as you have your SO you don’t need anything else. You’d wed your partner wearing a burlap sack if you had to, anything to promise yourselves to each other forever. But if the shoes were pretty it wouldn’t hurt, right?

Hello, headliner! You’re the bride who wants everyone in the world to know you’re getting married and it’s your big day! It’s about the shoes standing out, but it’s also about every single thing standing out. Everything needs to be just so and make a statement. Nothing should be left to chance and it all needs to be on-trend. It’s one day, sure, but you’re going to do it right and to the nines because you’re not planning on having another wedding day.
Age is nothing but a number. You y in the face of tradition and conformity isn’t even a word in your vocabulary. lyssa and Anthony’s love story began with an instant connection and to this day the couple shares a bond that is unmatched. Some might say the pinnacle of their relationship was their October wedding in Pennsylvania, but really it was just the beginning. As bridesmaid Stephanie shares, “They are truly a beautiful match for each other and I have loved watching their love grow over the years. I wish nothing but the best for them in the future and I can’t wait to be by their side, cheering them on every step of the way!” Their wedding was everything wedding dreams are made of — a modern take on a classic wedding. Neutral tones were front and center with Alyssa’s particular fondness for a monochromatic look, so it was only natural she went with gold, beige, and white. Oh, and of course a pop of dark sage for Anthony’s appreciation for the color green. Their style not only touched the owers that used lots of babies breath in place of typical greenery, but the cake as well, achieving a chic-looking wedding cake. The wedding cake sat alongside a dessert table. Decor aside, though, the dreamy day started for Alyssa when she was getting ready. Her entire bridal party was by her side in the bridal suite to get ready and enjoy a delicious breakfast and lunch. Having her bridal suite on the premises with the superb sta who went out of their way for all of them, particularly for Alyssa’s 90 year old grandmother who was their ower girl and used her wheelchair for much of the day, helped make the day absolutely perfect! “It truly made the whole day better and easier. This set up allowed [my
grandmother] to participate in the wedding, which was priceless to all of us,” she notes. It truly was the perfect location, but it wasn’t the only meaningful spot they shared. Their wedding ceremony took place at St. Anastasia where Anthony’s family has long been parishioners. Even sweeter, the ceremony was performed by Alyssa’s grade school priest who she altered for, Father Michael Speziale, and longtime friend and mentor, Jami Green and her husband Steve cantered. “It was beautiful!” Alyssa shares. Before the ceremony, though, Anthony and Alyssa exchanged vows privately, intending to use the Church’s vows during the wedding. In each of their beautiful commitments, they show just how compatible and connected they really are. “Even when I feel alone, I never fully do, because I know I have you and your whole heart always in my corner and I appreciate that with my whole heart,” Alyssa says to Anthony. While Anthony had his own beautiful words to s h are with Alys s a , s aying , “ You h ave encouraged me to always be myself (even when I’m a grump), pushed me to grow in careers I never could have seen myself in, and always had my back through the good and bad decisions.”
“
You tell me all the time how I am your rock but in reality you are and will always be my rock.” —Anthony “You have been and continue to be a dream of a partner.” —Alyssa

She walked down the aisle to a musical number since Alyssa loves musicals, and as a couple they have enjoyed seeing shows together as well as learning about new ones. The rst show they saw and learned for the rst time together was "Tick, Tick, Boom" about Jonathan Larson. The nal number from the show — “Louder than Words” — became a favorite of theirs and because the piano in that song is so pretty, they used it as their processional! Music was an instrumental part of their day, as it is for many couples, so they continued pulling

songs that were signi cant. For their reception entrance, they went with something they tell us they always dance around the house to, making “Kill the Lights” by Alex Newell and DJ Cassidy a no-brainer! And for their rst dance, which became Anthony’s favorite memory of the day, they chose John Legend’s “Conversations in the Dark.” “The second we heard it, we knew!” Alyssa says. Now, about that favorite memory… Anthony explains, “It was one of the few times, in such a busy day, that I was able to look around and truly appreciate all of the support
we had from family and friends in the room. That moment was truly perfect!” By contrast, and because the pair compliments each other so well, Alyssa’s favorite memory was the private last dance the two shared. “It was so nice to have that nal moment, alone together before our send-o and acknowledge that we did it! I also look back on the party bus ride to the reception very fondly where we were all partying with our loved ones with such excitement!” Groomsman Nick tells us, “The wedding itself was remarkable. From the decor to the food and music, it was a blast. A perfect way to celebrate such an incredible couple.” That could be in part because as Alyssa tells it their DJ was a stand-out, stopping at nothing to ensure not only a fun environment and lled dance oor, but also that they themselves had everything they needed to also have a good time.
“
Alyssa and Anthony are truly such a great couple who compliment one another so well. We were all so thrilled to be part of such a beautiful celebration of their love! It was a true honor to be standing by their side on their special day!” —Francesca, MOH

When asked what advice they have for other couples, they are in sync yet again. Anthony shares, “My advice for future couples on their wedding day is to try a rst look with their partner. Alyssa and I were so happy that we did because we were able to see everyone during cocktail hour and enjoy our venue to the fullest!” And Alyssa expands, saying, “I de nitely agree with my husband on doing a rst look if there’s no gap for pictures so that you can enjoy everything! I also have been telling my friends with upcoming weddings to not sweat the small stu . Nothing is completely perfect, things go wrong — just keep enjoying the day and you truly WILL enjoy your day!”
ON HER WAY TO
THEIR FIRST LO
OK
Let’s talk style — namely, fashion and beauty. Alyssa was as intentional with her choices in this category as she was with all the other ones, but that doesn’t mean everyone went according to plan. She explains, for her dress, she went with Lazaro and for her girls she turned to Anthropologie BHLDN. “I actually ended up with the exact opposite of what I wanted. I really wanted a satin ballgown, but being so petite they truly did not look right on me! I tried on this stunning Lazaro dress so that I could say I tried on every style, and I can’t even explain the feeling that came over me. It was just my dress. Anthony’s mom was crying and my sister teared up! It was just magical. I loved the glitter layer under the lace as that was something I came to the appointment interested in, and was obsessed with the train! I will forever look back at photos and be so happy with the dress!” The Lazaro dress was style 32210_DRO Amelie, a lace sparkle tulle trumpet dress with a sweetheart neckline and chapel train.

With the dresses picked out, it was time to gure out the hair and makeup. For her hair, Alyssa notes she went back and forth many times about the style. “I originally had a trial for an updo, but kept wanting to wear it down as I have in all the weddings I’ve been in. I landed on this style the summer leading up to my wedding after seeing that wearing it down with a comb piece seemed to be trending.” For her makeup, it was a snag easier. Mia Virden did her makeup for her shower and, as Alyssa says, she instantly fell in love! “We went for some cooler-toned browns and champagne on the eyes and some glam!” Going with another makeup artist for her bridesmaids’ makeup, Alyssa still wanted to keep with lots of golds and browns and they all looked just as

“For the bridesmaids, I was super picky about the shade of green. If you can’t tell from my decor, I prefer neutrals over bright colors so I wanted something pretty neutral for the dresses. Anthony’s favorite color is green and there is just something about this particular shade of green that I was drawn to! We went to BHLDN twice with two sets of bridesmaids so they could try on the styles and they all looked SO GOOD in these dresses!”
gorgeous. Of course, that wasn’t all… “Everyone wore lashes for some umph!” as Alyssa puts it. Finally, gathering her something old, new, borrowed, and blue was tricky, according to Alyssa. “I used my great grandmother’s ring on my right hand as my something old and my dress and accessories were my something new. I combined the borrowed and blue piece as I had Anthony’s grandmother’s handkerchief wrapped around my bouquet. My mother-inlaw kindly lent it to me and the embroidery was blue! That, and the charm of my grandparents gifted to me by my aunt were so special!” Now with such wonderful familial treasures on her wedding day, Alyssa has plenty of memories of those pieces, but we thought it would be tting that Alyssa and Anthony have one more treasured memory — words from Alyssa’s grandmother Theresa, who as we already shared was also their ower girl on the wedding day. So without further ado, Mommom, as she’s a ectionately known, o ers this sage marital advice to the happy couple (and everyone else): “Be kind to each other. Be nice to each other. Always put your spouse rst and respect them.”

Blending Tradition with Modernity As modern brides seek to incorporate their family's heritage into their wedding attire, they are drawn to the elements of their mothers' and grandmothers' gowns. While appreciating the enduring beauty of these vintage designs, contemporary brides often desire a more modern interpretation that re ects their personal style. By working with skilled fashion designers, brides can honor their family's traditions while creating a gown that embodies their individuality and captures today's aesthetic. This approach allows brides to communicate their appreciation for past generations while embracing a gown that resonates with their own tastes, preserving sentimentality without compromising their
desire for a distinctive, modern bridal ensemble. Amidst the intricate planning of their nuptials, couples nd themselves immersed in a world where timeless allure intertwines with contemporary sophistication. The allure of these elements lies not only in their ability to evoke a sense of history but also in their capacity to infuse the wedding day with an emotive richness—a re ection of the couple's journey and the legacies that have shaped their love story. Traversing this evocative realm of bridal design reminds us that sentimentality, in all its grace and allure, is not merely a trend but a testament to the enduring power of love, history, and the timeless beauty of cherished memories.

Victoria & Michael
This summer wedding embodies a style that was classic and timeless, with a touch of romance. The theme revolved around an elegant celebration, incorporating elements of traditional charm and sophistication to create a memorable and beautiful event. "The Art of Love" is a beautifully artistic and romantic theme selected by the couple, where they incorporated subtle white brushstrokes throughout, from invitations to the cake and guest activities, adding a unique and cohesive touch and turning the celebration into a work of art. It also paired nicely with the almost all-white and clear color palette that exuded a pure and elegant aesthetic, creating a timeless atmosphere and evoking a sense of simplicity and sophistication.

Further, the heartfelt toasts from our closest friends and family during the reception added an extra layer of warmth to the celebration. how me one bride who doesn’t totally want (read: dream) of the ability to custom design their own wedding dress with the atelier of their dreams, of course. Pretty sure, the majority has spoken ‘cause bespoke, well, everything, is trending hardcore right now. So, naturally, Galia Lahav (luxury royalty we’re dubbing the house of couture) is o ering ways to customize each look for brides who want a truly one-of-a-kind look. Sure, they’ve done it before for celebs, but darling this is di erent.

venue will be crucial to the de s ig n of your d re s s . You might’ve always dreamed of a sweetheart neckline, but if it’s below fty degrees you’re going to want a little more coverage, darling. And faux fur coats can go a long way, but best to be on the safe side, don’t ya think?
As with planning your wedding, these things take time and careful consideration. Which is why the process begins where you might think it does — with a vision board. Gather inspiration from designer lookbooks (maybe even Galia Lahav, just sayin’) or magazines (duh, this one) and get a feel for what you like (/love/ need like yesterday). What’s your fave silhouette? What about the fabrics you want? Do you want lace? Pearls? Tons of beading? Or do you care to keep it more simple with a classic silk dress? Perhaps a long train? You get the idea.
In case you’re wondering (lbr, you’re totally wondering), a bespoke look starts at $25,000. It takes a “number of months, meetings, and t t i n g s ”. Remember, this is a collaboration between you and a Galia Lahav designer, and there’s going to be a lot of going back and forth to make sure your dreams come to life. And, as Sever notes, it is his opinion that “the best looks are the ones that re ect the essence and the personality of my bride. It is important to be yourself, feel comfortable, and be con dent.”
