Yes, You a Professional Vow Writer

No AI, Make it

Hello, budget is a six-letter word and the only one in my vocabulary that matters at the moment. AI apps do this for free. True, but AI is robotic and doesn’t know you or your partner intimately. Your wedding deserves better and so do the two of you.

Sorry about that, I figured I’d open with the most frequently discussed topic and my answer every. single. time. Listen, I get it — money doesn’t grow on trees and weddings are expensive. It’s a celebration of love, not a reason to hawk your most valuable possessions. However, hear me out on this one: you’re going to throw the best darn wedding because it’s what you and your partner deserve, so why not go *all* out and hire a professional wedding vow writer?

Let’s Get Intimate

As the owner and professional vow writer at Gea Vows, I want to look into your soul. Okay, that’s creepy, but seriously, it’s important I get to know you and your partner. How did you meet? How’d you fall in love? Who fell first? Who fell harder? What are your favorite couple activities?

Alllll of that is so important so that I can delve deeper and your love story can shine through your vows. Because when you read those vows while you’re standing in front of your friends and family, you’re going to want to be able to say these are 100% you and me and this is exactly our love story. The tears of joy come when it’s real and raw and emotional and only a human touch gives you that.

Don’t Forget Private Vows

I love the trend of private vows. Do you want to know why? It’s just you and your partner, no distractions (okay, except the photographer(s) and videographer(s) maybe, but besides that no distractions). Everything fades into the background and you can simply listen to one another’s heartfelt vows (even if your backs are to one another) and revel in the words they’re speaking because while they’re my words, they’re actually yours. I take the chance to know you and put it eloquently down on paper, but the credit is yours to take. The vows are reflective of your love story and I promise you this: it’s beautiful. Although, I’m sure you know that already *wink*.

Did Someone Say Keepsake?

Wedding vows are one of the most popular items couples preserve as a keepsake from their wedding day. There’s a reason for that, so one day you can share it with your children and grandchildren. Guarantee they’ll get teary-eyed at the vows you once got tearyeyed hearing. It’s the circle of life, right?

This romantic wedding in Mallorca, Spain was all about the roses, Rosana’s favorite. Incorporated into every aspect of the decor, the roses were big and beautiful. The biggest, though, were the white roses, flowers found in the mother of the bride and groom bouquets. Although, for her bouquet and the multi-tiered classic, vintage-style cake, Rosana chose red but opted to mix red and white for her bridesmaids. For her dress, Rosana wore custom Kim Kassas, her first pick for a designer. Picking the “Ines” dress, she customized it to create a basque waist, add romantic off the shoulder tulle sleeves, and extend the train by three yards — all of which took about a year to finish altering.

Rosana & Jackson

Kicking off the wedding week, the couple and their guests set sail on a Catamaran during sunset. It was the wedding day, though, that was the pinnacle of the week. At the start of the ceremony, guests were escorted through the museum, and into the Son Marroig lush gardens. Just beyond, the Son Marroig temple was the focal point of the aisle, which provided spectacular 360 views of the Balearic sea, the Tramuntana mountains, and the Son Marroig landscape. As the sun set, guests made their way to the dinner terrace on an olive tree terrace where over ten giant chandeliers were beaming in the moonlight. The bridal party and bride and groom made their entrance onto the dance floor where the newlyweds performed a choreographed fi rst dance while cold fire spark machines sparkled around them. After dinner, their saxophone player appeared and led a conga line for guests to the after party area. In this area, guests enjoyed a cuban cigar roller, photo booth, DJ, open bar, and custom Don Julio 1942 mini bottles (one per guest). Interestingly, the bottles were a special gift to the bride and groom and are not currently located in southern Europe, only found at Jackson & Rosana’s wedding, along with a particular celebrity’s birthday party.

“We were torn about having a first look, but it ended up being the most special moment! As I was by myself with my thoughts, looking out at the vast sea and mountains, hearing the violin playing our song, and a mountain goat making its ‘bahh’ noise, I was overwhelmed with gratitude.… And then turning around and seeing the most beautifully stunning bride, I was blown away. She looked like an angel on earth and the fact that we got to enjoy a few minutes together just us, basking in the special day and the amazing moments to come, I’ll forever cherish those moments.” —Jackson

“My favorite moment was probably walking down the aisle and seeing my gorgeous husband standing and the smile on all of our friends and family’s faces. I also absolutely loved hearing everyone’s speeches. Another favorite was definitely being led into the after party by the saxophone player and dancing the night away!” —Rosana

There’s Springtime in Miami only means one thing — sun-soaked Sundays on a yacht and gathering loved ones for backyard BBQs on the water. For Sam and Yetta, these moments were more than just seasonal traditions - they were treasured memories from their early days of dating after having been introduced by Sam’s sister (Yetta’s BFF). So it felt only natural that when the time came, Sam wanted it to be in a setting that captured the essence of their relationship. In true Miami style, Sam planned a proposal on a yacht, seamlessly blending the couple’s love for the ocean with a celebration that brought together those closest to them. Sam added a heartfelt touch by involving Yetta’s son in the proposal, having the role of official Ring Security Agent for the day, but only after Sam proposed to him too to make sure theirs would be as much about family as it was about love.

Understanding Yetta’s passion for capturing life’s moments, Sam sought her input on selecting the perfect photographer, giving her the chance to prepare for the big day. With her sharp eye for fashion and detail, Yetta chose

multiple outfits—one for the proposal and another for the engagement party that followed. She also took the opportunity to glam up, choosing muted white and chrome nails and selecting jewelry that reflected her signature clean and elegant style.

As the sun set over Haulover, Sam proposed to Yetta and her son. The boat then docked at Sam’s backyard, where their family and friends were waiting with an engagement party to share in their memories filled with tears, laughter and joy and the promise of many more to come.

As they plan their wedding, the couple shares their favorite part of wedding planning so far has been curating the mood for the day. “So far we haven’t chosen a venue yet, but I envision lounge chairs for the ceremony and am using how things will look in our photos and videos as a guide for everything, from my dress to the decor,” Yetta tells us.

Because your mother wore it is all the more reason you should be wearing it. By way of explanation, trends come full circle. What once was popular when your grandmother was in the prime of her life rolled back around and became trendy again for your mother to wear. Now what your mother wore is trendy again for you to wear. It’s what we like to call the Circle of Life: Fashion Edition.

Here are fi ve predicted fashion trends for 2025 according to Kate, owner and designer at Little Fashion Finds:

Drop waist silhouettes. That includes anything that gives off the elongated torso look. For example, corsets and peplums.

3D embellishments and embroideries. Think, lace and organza florals to add detail and texture.

Mini styles. What once was called upon for an evening look is now worn at all times during the wedding. Creating an ideal multi-look outfit you

may add removable sleeves and overskirts.

Bows. You’ve probably seen this trend everywhere and it’s still popular trend. You can opt for a dainty bow embellishment or an oversized bow show stopper. It can be on the dress or a hair accessory, even a bow veil.

Scrunchies. This is a timeless and fun addition.

WHAT’S UP:

Hang your wedding gown by the loops found inside your wedding gown that are connected to the sturdy side seams; never hang it by the fragile shoulder seams that can stretch or sag under the weight of your gown.

Avoid storing your wedding gown in a plastic bag (even a clean sheet is better than a plastic bag) or in a vacuumsealed, plastic-wrapped container because plastic bags emit fumes that can yellow your wedding gown and shrink- wrapped containers trap moisture that can mildew your wedding gown. Also, the static electricity from the plastic plus the trapped moisture combine to set wrinkles that cannot be pressed out of your gown.

Avoid storing your wedding gown in the attic or basement where there are extreme changes in temperature or humidity.

Inspect your wedding gown personally before it is put into the container, which should be a completely acid-free, archival-quality wedding chest lined with fabric or acid-free tissue.

Rayna and Dallas wed on their nine year anniversary at the church where her parent’s married thirty years before and held their reception at Carnegie Museum, a much di Dallas skipped school to take Rayna to the Pittsburgh Zoo. On their wedding day, Dallas had nine dozen red roses delivered to Rayna, each with a note of his favorite memory from one of their years. The last bouquet had a blue topaz and diamond ring, Rayna’s something new and blue. Meanwhile, Rayna gifted Dallas an embroidered handkerchief, watch and a cross with his father’s thumbprint, a sentimental touch to keep him close. Another special gift, Rayna’s mom gave Dallas something old, borrowed and blue — Rayna’s grandfather’s high school ring.

Rayna & Dallas

With romantic decor, the florals took center stave with whimsical whites, creams and the palest pink roses accented with white plumes and pearls. Rayna’s bouquet had a little something extra, representing her grandparents — an engraved charm from her grandmother that featured her grandfather’s picture and was attached to a diamond ring he gave her. For the cake, the couple went with a six-tier, petallike decorated and fair dust glittered, white almond batter and raspberry fi lling. Of course, there was also the classic Pittsburgh wedding tradition of a cookie table designed by Rayna’s mother and her friend. It featured over 5,000 cookies of 40 different varieties all in front of a special ice sculpture, the only request from Rayna’s father. Adding a personal touch, the signature cocktails and treats on the bar were named after the couple’s dogs, Titan, Tilly and Tootsie. Indeed, Tootsie was the treat — a bowl of Tootsie Rolls.

Knowing they beat the odds over the course of their nine-year relationship, they chose Shania Twain’s “Still the One” for their first dance, but other songs held significance too. Rayna walked down the aisle to Dallas’s favorite song arranged in a piano version and they entered their reception to a DJ and lighting crew collaborated light show to the music from “The Greatest Showman, The Greatest Show”. A big surprise came when the DJ played Rayna’s late grandfather’s favorite song and her mom brought out a cardboard stand-up of him so they could all dance with him (one of Rayna’s favorite memories from the night). Finally, no wedding is complete without a special garter toss moment and Dallas performed in a huge way! Coming out shirtless but with suspenders, a cowboy hat and boots, he performed a number Rayna’s mother helped coordinate to his bride’s favorite Alan Jackson song (“Chattahootchi”).

Preserve Your Gown and the Planet

What if you could ensure the beauty of your wedding gown and help safeguard our planet’s beauty, too?

The Association of Wedding Gown Specialists has established a ReforestationFund that will help support the Arbor Day Foundation, the perfect partner to help make a positive impact in nature and celebrate weddings. For every gown a member of the association preserves, they will plant a tree in a forest of great need.

The Association is proud of its long-time ecofriendly commitment. As president Kyle Matthews of Janet Davis Cleaners in Berkley, Michigan, noted, “Our Association was the first to try to calculate the carbon footprint of cleaning and preserving the wedding gown from travel to and from one of our members to the cleaning of the gown and the manufacture of the wedding chest to preserve the gown. In 2009 we began funding reforestation projects worldwide, and our MuseumCare preservations are unique with regard to our commitment to our environment.”

Established in 1987, the Association, a notfor-profit trade association with members in nine countries, is a network of cleaners who specialize in the meticulous care of wedding gowns, specialty garments, and fabrics. Members share a common vision: to elevate their brands and become the trusted drycleaners in their respective communities. Members also understand the unique challenges and opportunities that come with handling delicate and cherished items such as wedding gowns and other luxury garments and cherished heirlooms.

The Association’s mission is to empower members with the knowledge, resources, and support needed to excel in this specialized field. However, the preservation guarantee is truly an international warranty because each member honors the guarantee of every other member no matter where in the world they may be.

The organization’s trademarked MuseumCare preservations are Endorsed by the Association of Bridal Consultants, the professional organization dedicated to wedding planners and professionals worldwide, and are also recommended by many designers and manufacturers.

Founded in 1972, the Arbor Day Foundation is the world’s largest member nonpro dedicated to planting trees. Together with their members, partners, and programs, they have helped plant more than 500 million trees in neighborhoods, communities, cities, and forests throughout the world.

Caryn & Shawn

When picking a venue, it was important for the couple to find a place with a nice view and beautiful flooring; Hudson House became an obvious choice. For florals that translated to hydrangeas, roses, hanging green amaranthus and a variety of greenery. The cake was a five-tier beauty — red velvet with white chocolate ganache filling, vanilla with Oreo filling, and vanilla with dolce de leche filling — all presented with an assortment of cupcakes. Finally, they offered signature cocktails — a “Simmply lychee” martini and a lemon drop martini, named for the couple. In lieu of a photo booth, they had a confessional booth where guests could “confess” messages to the happy couple. Another personal touch the bride added to the wedding, a note to every guest on the back of their seating card.

For Caryn and Shawn it all started in their early teen years, making theirs a romance for the books. Fast forward to their engagement in Jamaica and Shawn had a special proposal all planned out. There for a wedding, Caryn was encouraged to try to catch the bouquet, but nothing was thrown; instead, it was handed over to Caryn while Shawn was behind her, down on one knee.

At the ceremony, there was a butterfly release which was the bride’s favorite memory.

Caryn’s Favorite Part of Planning: “Everyone’s attire and the details of the table settings and deciding what our colors would be.”

Transforming Wedding into

wedding dress, particularly in winter, is a symbol of elegance and personal expression. While traditionally worn for one unforgettable occasion, the design elements of winter wedding gowns can inspire fashion choices far beyond the wedding day itself. Elements like dramatic sleeves, intricate er versatile design features that can be adapted into everyday wear or reinvented for special occasions

Winter wedding dresses often feature design elements that can easily be translated into other forms of attire. Rather than keeping the gown stored away, working with a skilled tailor or designer opens up a world of possibilities.

Structured sleeves, such as puffed or fitted designs, can serve as inspiration for transforming into elegant blouses or jackets, perfect for pairing with tailored pants or skirts. The skirt portion of the dress could be reworked into a stunning ballgown skirt, which can be mixed and matched with different tops in a variety of colors for a completely new ensemble. Lace accents or structured sleeves from the original gown can also be integrated into these new designs, offering refined details that keep the spirit of the wedding day alive, while turning the dress into a versatile piece that continues to make a statement beyond the big day.

Luxurious Fabrics for Year-Round Style

Winter gowns are known for their use of opulent materials such as satin, velvet, and heavy lace. These fabrics not only provide warmth during cooler months but also offer a luxurious feel that can elevate any ensemble. The richness of these fabrics can be incorporated into other items of clothing, from formal evening wear to statement pieces for seasonal events. The transformative nature of these materials allows the wedding gown to live on in a fashion-forward way.

From Ceremony to Occasion

The adaptability of winter wedding dresses extends beyond just the fabrics. Certain silhouettes and features, like long trains or capes, can inspire dramatic formal wear for future events. These statement pieces, which bring an element of grandeur to a bridal gown, can easily be repurposed into attire for a gala, winter ball, or other formal gatherings. The essence of the dress continues to inspire

beyond the ceremony, o ff ering endless possibilities for future occasions.

Timeless Accessories

Accessories that accompany winter bridal wear, such as fur stoles, gloves, and embellished veils, also lend themselves to various interpretations in fashion. These pieces can be reimagined as part of a chic winter wardrobe, complementing both casual and formal outfits. The ability to transition these bridal accessories into timeless wardrobe staples ensures that their elegance endures.

A Lasting Fashion Statement

Winter wedding dresses are designed to capture a moment, but their beauty and intricacy offer the potential to become more than just a keepsake. Whether through the reworking of fabrics or the use of specific details in new designs, these gowns can continue to inspire fashion choices for years to come. From special events to everyday elegance, the artistry of winter wedding gowns lives on, proving that their influence stretches far beyond the big day.

Elegance that Endures

A winter wedding dress is more than a onetime ensemble. It is a piece that can inspire fashion well beyond the ceremony. With rich textures, dramatic details, and timeless designs, these gowns o ff er endless opportunities to in fl uence and elevate personal style, making them a lasting tribute to both the artistry of bridal wear and the transformative power of fashion.

The collection has Victorian influences, rich in fl oral laces, cascading 3D embroideries, and sculpted corsetry. The print of the season features a wild bouquet of garden roses, peonies, parrot tulips & hibiscus, cascading over pique gazar, as 2-dimensional butterflies gently rest upon petals.

The season’s star, the wild Rose whimsically dégrades over exaggerated veils, sculpted bodices, and full tulle skirts. The effect is overthe-top, luxurious and unexpected.

Bold botanical embroidered flowers with 3D velvet bow details cascade

over a cameo sculpted gown. A hammered crepe ivory sheath is artfully draped in relaxed, alluring femininity. Diverse necklines and basque waist silhouettes add timeless sophistication, while a guipure lace, high neck tunic worn over a matching corseted gown is an ode to the past. Alternatively, a Chantilly lace jacket, worn under a mikado ball gown has a fresh, unexpected, yet classic presence.

A floral lace column gown with an attached exaggerated overskirt, opera length gloves and matching veil embodies Italian elegance. Over the top, statement veils with bold embroideries and cascading petals frame the face, in classic and double combshapes. It is a regal lineup of transformative beauty and opulence; a true Bacio da una rosa.

Lake Como in May, there’s nothing like it, especially for this spontaneous and adventurous couple who always wanted to travel to Italy. After postponing their wedding once, they decided to elope, not wanting to keep their story on pause any longer. Everything was planned within a month without pressure or concern for guests, but instead focusing on reaffirming their commitment to each other and celebrating their love. As for the details, the florals consisted of white peonies and other white a classic Italian custard cake — Millefoglie. At the end of the day, the couple cherishes their memories, especially their photoshoot at Villa Monastero, walking down the aisle, and the exchange of their vows.
