Interview with Katrinna Paredes, Brand Management
What do you do in your job? I am Senior Brand Manager for Labello. I take care of Labello in the German lip care market, including product portfolio and launch pipeline, communication, pricing and placement in store with the objective to defend the N° 1 in the market. What does a typical day look like? There is no typical day as such. Every day is different and that is one aspect that I really love about my job. Some days are more strategic-oriented concerning the brand vision, future product portfolio and the expected net sales for the upcoming years. Other days are creative-oriented, working on new concepts based on consumer insights and trends. Other days are full of meetings with the key stakeholder functions, such as controlling, sales, shopper & customer marketing, category management and supply chain to make sure that the right products are in store with the right margin and promotional activity. What do you like most about your job? To make consumers happy with the love brand Labello. What makes Beiersdorf special for you? The strong and unique brands, the people I work with and the Beiersdorf culture. We support one another and I can draw energy from the team spirit. What has been your biggest success @ Beiersdorf so far? Defending the N° 1 position in the lip care market in a very competitive environment including the launch of Labellino. Which prospects do you have @ Beiersdorf? At Beiersdorf the prospects are quite manifold; a step abroad or in the international product development department, a cross-functional step in sales, HR or controlling and of course, get more responsibilities along the way. What was the recruitment process like for you?
Beiersdorf approached me through the CV book of the CEMS Career Forum. After that everything went super quick: I had 2 telephone interviews and 2 personal interviews within 2 weeks and within a week I received the offer. Why shall a CEMSie meet Beiersdorf @ CEMS CF? Use the chance to get to know Beiersdorf on a personal basis and ask all the questions that you ever wanted to know about the company. What is your advice for a CEMSie meeting Beiersdorf @ CF? Be yourself and ask all the questions you need answers to, to figure out whether Beiersdorf is a perfect match employer for you. Even if you don’t have time for a chat, get connected with them on LinkedIn. You never know which opportunity might be waiting for you just around the next corner. :)
