SWEDEN – SSE, STOCKHOLM SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS

School support:

Various channels can be used to search for internships:

- SSE’s jobsite Careers Online has information about various career opportunities, including internships, to which all students at SSE have access by creating an account here

- SSE’s student association (SASSE) is also a source for internships to SSE students, see here and the FB group BC Opportunities here

- The CEMS office also receives information from some of our corporate partners, which we distribute to our students (SSE and incoming students) via email.

- Daily company presentations and networking activities.

- SSE’s two-day Career Fair (“Handelsdagarna”) at the beginning of the spring term.

It is possible to find an internship in Sweden without Swedish language skills since some companies do not require Swedish.

Legislation:

Both citizens from the EU/EEA-member counties and from outside the EU/EEA- member countries can apply equally for internships in Sweden, but non-EU-members have to apply for a work permit as well. This application should be prepared, and the permit obtained before the student enters Sweden.

For graduates:

Internships for newly-graduated students do occur. SSE’s Careers Online provides information about graduate positions as well as internships.
