YOUR PASSPORT TO A GLOBAL COMMUNITY

PA SSP OR T

When you join CEMS through the Master’s in International Management programme, you become part of a global community of academic, corporate and social institutions dedicated to educating and preparing you to join the future generation of responsible global business leaders.

“

In this dynamically changing world, leaders are constantly being challenged to make decisions that will have an impact on employees, customers, the environment and society as a whole. For the last 30 years, the CEMS community has worked collectively to prepare students to become responsible global leaders by helping them to understand the broader context within which business is embedded. The CEMS experience offers a deeply transformational learning opportunity for students to develop the knowledge, skills, and networks, which will empower them as responsible leaders to contribute to a more open, sustainable and inclusive world.

Roland Siegers CEMS Executive Director

For most of my life I’ve lived in one country and that’s really narrowed the perspective I had about the world. By joining the CEMS MIM, I forced myself outside of my comfort zone and did the international internship as well as a term abroad. I got in touch with a lot of different cultures, which gave me a better understanding of the world around me and this broadened my horizon.

To help us prepare for our future careers, as a student we can participate in a lot of events to get to know companies. For example, we can participate in regional events, skill seminars, block seminars and even interviews with CEMS Corporate Partners at the annual Career Forum. The term abroad and CEMS Club involvement are other opportunities to develop a global mindset, which help prepare us for working in a global career. Finally, CEMS is a community where people are willing to help each other, which opens up career opportunities in the business world. CEMS graduates are really attractive for a company like Google because of their international exposure, their ability to collaborate, and their approach to diversity and inclusion as well as their ability to learn fast. In addition, beyond the skills, there is an overlap when it comes to collaboration and genuine kindness within the culture at CEMS and Google.

“

Ours is a time of enormous transformation driven by the 4th Industrial Revolution. Able to exploit new opportunities, CEMS students are uniquely placed to prosper in this age of great change. They are linguistically, culturally and technically adept. They possess critical thinking and systems thinking skills and above all, they carry a deep desire to make the world a better place.
