i6 Acqua Arm Bath screens The Acqua Arm Bath screen Range is answer to providing a multi-panel screen, which is easy to store or extend whilst creating an effective bath screen seal. The Acqua Arm offers a cushioned seating position against the bath top as it drops down to create one long seal, leaving the panels to be located with ease as they are not in contact with the bath top. This technology has also been used to great effect in our single panel bath screen, providing a solution to people who want a watertight solution to a bath screen in a lager bathroom where the screen does not need to be folded away.

Landscape & Portrait Mounting

All of our mirrors come with heated demister pads enabling you to use the mirrors in steamy bathrooms. The pads heat the mirror to above room temperature which stops mist appearing on the mirror.

All of our mirrors can be hung portrait or landscape (excluding LED-MIRROR003). By doing this the on/off switch would be moved from the bottom of the mirror to the side of the mirror.

Infrared On/Off Switch

Shaver Socket

Some of our mirrors and cabinets are built using no-touch on/off switches. By simply moving your hand under the sensor the mirror can be turned on and off without the need for a pull switch or leaving fingerprints on the mirrors.

All installations must comply to guidelines which are based on a zonal concept. The colour coded diagram below illustrates this concept and must be followed to ensure the safe installation of bathroom lighting. These regulations apply to domestic installations only.

The IP (Ingress Protection) Standard describes a uniform system for classifying the degrees of protection provided by the enclosures of electrical equipment. For example, if a bathroom light is rated IP65, then the 6 means its 'Protected against dust' and the 5 means its 'Protected against water jets' from a shower, tap or cleaning processes from any direction. First numeral - protection against ingress of foreign bodies, e.g. tools, dust, fingers, etc.

Zone 1 refers to the area above the shower up to a height of 2.25m and requires a minimum rating of IP44 or higher and if the fitting is 240V a 30ma RCD must be used to protect the circuit.

Zone 2 covers an area of 0.6m wide immediately next to, and all round zone 1. Wash basins should also be treated as zone 2. The minimum rating here is IPX4.

Outside Zone has no special requirements, unless water jets are likely to be used for cleaning purposes.

0 No protection 1 Protected against solid objects with a diameter of 50mm and over (e.g. accidental insertion of hands) 2 Protected against solid objects over 12mm (e.g. jointed fingers) 3 Protected against solid objects over 2.5mm (tools) 4 Protected against solid objects over 1mm (small wires) 5 Protected against - limited ingress permitted (no harmful deposit) 6 Totally protected against dust

Second numeral - protection against ingress of liquids. 0 No protection 1 Protected against drops of condensed water. Drops of condensed water falling on the enclosure shall have no harmful effect 2 Protection against drops of liquid. Drops of falling liquid shall have no harmful effect when the enclosure is tilted at an angle up to 15 degrees from the vertical. 3 Protection against rain. Water falling in rain at an angle equal or smaller than 60 degrees with respect to the vertical shall have no harmful effect. 4 Protection against splashing. Liquid splashed from any direction shall have no harmful effect. 5 Protection against water jets. Water projected by a nozzle from any direction under stated conditions shall have no harmful effect. 6 Protection against conditions on ship decks (deck equipment). Water from heavy seas shall not enter the enclosures under prescribed conditions. 7 Protection against immersion in water. It shall not be possible for water to enter the enclosure under stated conditions of pressure and time. 8 Protection against indefinite immersion in water under specified pressure. It shall not be possible for water to enter the enclosure.

Professional plumbing practice ensures that a shower head is never installed facing outwards towards the shower enclosure/door as shown in the diagram. Limitations of design and physics dictate that water will inevitably leave a shower enclosure/door if large amounts of water are purposely directed at seals or gaps between aluminium and/or glass. If doors swing out into a bathroom and the glass is still wet, water will drip down onto the floor, please ensure floor coverings are suitable for bathrooms and are not affected by water.
