Introduction

God has given each of us a key, a degree of faith, to conquer what seems impossible. Just as the Apostle Paul wrote, “…God has dealt to each one a measure of faith” (Romans 12:3).

You may not think you have much faith, but I want to tell you that there is faith inside of you and it is ready to be activated through the Word of God. As you spend time in the Word, your faith will increase to such a degree that you will be in awe at the things you will be able to accomplish for God.

When faith takes root in your heart, you will come to understand that the battle to believe has been in your mind. Then faith will become your strongest ally as you develop the 144 disciples who will become your greatest assets and produce the multiplication of your ministry.

Every chapter in this book will help you to see things from a dierent perspective. It will also help you discover and grow in the spiritual aspects of your ministry. We believe that the knowledge of Scripture produces a boldness that motivates us to confess what we believe. Those confessions then turn into declarations that we make into the heavenly realms, where the angels in turn act upon on our words. Since God

instructs us to not have unbelief in our hearts, we must remain steadfast in what our lips have spoken.

That is why Jesus said: “for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you” (Matthew 17:20). Entering into that dimension of faith is touching God’s heart so that His hand will move on your behalf and shower down His greatest blessings upon your life.

Faith comes as the result of spending daily time in the secret place of God’s presence. This place is where He gives you revelation into His Word and brings direction to your life. In His presence you will, discover your desires and longings, begin to formulate specic goals, and learn to pray specic prayers.

The formation of the 144 will be the result of investing your time, life, and ministry in the lives of twelve people that you will come to see as your children.

These individuals will follow your steps and strive to reproduce themselves in the lives of their twelve disciples. Paul told us that we must be an example to others. So, your twelve will imitate you.

This book will help you clearly comprehend the G12 vision and give you the faith you need in order to accomplish mighty things for God.

Chapter 1: THE POWER IN 144

G12: The Seal of the Vision

What is the signicance of the number twelve? How important is that number? Well, I ask you, where would Christianity be today if Jesus had not chosen twelve disciples? Who would have written the Gospels? What would Israel be if Jacob had not had twelve sons? The nation of Israel would never have had twelve tribes. Throughout the Bible, we see that the number twelve is the number God chose to represent government.

We must understand that God is Spirit, He is eternal, and He inhabits eternity. When God created man, He established time and space. That means that God used what was eternal and established twelve governments. He called them months, and the sum of these twelve months would equal one year. This is how He created time. God established the G12 to bring order and organizational structure to the

church. In the Old Testament, for example, He appointed the leaders of the twelve tribes to shepherd the nation of Israel. In the New Testament, the Lord chose twelve Apostles to facilitate and administrate the growth of the church.

Before you can be a father to twelve spiritual children you must rst be an example to them, because these twelve will emulate you in everything and then they will in turn motivate others to follow their example. That is how you become a leader of 144 disciples. Perhaps no one had ever heard of you before you embraced this vision, but participating in the G12 will cause you to be known as a respected individual who has gained the esteem of his or her disciples. As a spiritual parent, your responsibility will be to guide, motivate, encourage, and support them—and this kind of leadership inspires respect.

In today’s society, it is evident that people have lost all respect for humanity, but the G12 vision seems to bring forth a rebirth of respect, honor, and dignity. I have witnessed this rsthand in the lives on my disciples who, prior to joining the vision, had lost all the respect of their families and friends. No one believed in them and they did not believe in themselves. But as they became a part of the church, the Lord transformed them. At rst, some people thought these men and women were crazy. However today, those same ones admire and respect them. Those who once looked down on them now call them “pastors.”

“Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, saying, ‘Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have

sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.’ And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed.”

Revelation 7:2-4

The passage above is a “now” word; it is for this season, the end times. Leaders must focus on completely developing twelve disciples and helping each of those individuals develop their team of twelve. Let’s not allow ourselves to be distracted with the thousands (those will come later). Let us discover the blessing we receive as we help develop our 144 disciples.

The Seal upon the Leaders

You may recall that the Lord marked Cain’s forehead as a result of the sin he committed by murdering his brother. This mark was a seal—not a physical one but, a spiritual one (because God is Spirit). When people saw Cain, they sensed the mark that was placed on his spirit.

A spiritual mark will identify a person. Think about Adolf Hitler. He may not have had a physical mark, but when you see a picture of him, you immediately associate him with the Holocaust. On the other hand, when you think of Abraham Lincoln, you will probably identify him as the righteous president who fought to abolish slavery. What about Moses? He carried the mark of a deliverer, especially to the Israelites. How about Abraham, what does He remind you of? Faith. And Abel? He reminds us of an acceptable oering. See, all of these men have a seal, a mark. But the marks are not physical, they are spiritual.

In today’s consumer society, we can identify certain products because they have been branded. Their advertisers have created a graphic identity (which is a type of mark) to function as an external expression of the product inside their packages. The brand and everything the brand represents entices consumers. The same is true in the spirit realm. There are marks that even Satan recognizes. He knows the value of a mark. This is why he tries so hard to mark people, even during the early stages of childhood. He uses trauma to mark individuals with rejection, knowing that rejection will attract the spirit of fear and feelings of insecurity and abandonment.

When people have experienced a trauma (even at an early age) their lives are scarred. These scars produce spiritual marks that continually attract evil forces that are assigned to these individuals’ lives. For example, people who have experienced past failures are prone to repeat the same cycles throughout their lives. In the spirit world, demons can see the marks and they are attracted to them. In the specic case of trauma, demons of insecurity, fear, doubt, torment, and desperation attach themselves to people who have experienced trauma. Similarly, a person full of bitterness will attract hate and vengeance, someone full of rage will attract violence, and a negative person attracts suicidal thoughts.

We must realize that no one can see these marks with human eyes, because they are spiritual. Even when a person appears to be ne, he or she can be carrying a negative scar that causes a tendency toward oppression. What does the Lord want to do about this? In the story of the Good Samaritan, He teaches that He came to heal the brokenhearted. He

rst heals, and then He replaces the wound with the seal of His spirit on the hearts of His children.

Just as things develop in the natural realm, they also develop in the spiritual realm. Revelation 7:2-4 speaks of a seal that God’s servants receive. This seal is spiritual. It brings with it a special grace and anointing from God and it comes with holiness, multiplication, and authority. It is based on the same principles, dynamics and blessings that God gave Adam and Noah when He placed a seal on them, commanding them to be fruitful, to multiply, and to have dominion (see Genesis 1:28; 9:1, 7).

When you have the seal of God’s anointing, growth will come eortlessly and you will not need to strive for the multitudes to follow your lead. People will run to you because of God’s grace upon you. This is what happens to those who are implementing the vision—God anoints them with a special grace that enables them to inuence people and to fulll the promise that tells us that, in the Lord, little becomes much and that the weak become strong.

You may feel as though you are wearing a sign on your forehead that reads, “Failure.” You must realize that failure is not a blessing, and God does not want you to live like a failure. Wear the sign that says, “Victor,” and live like an overcomer.

The Seal upon Those who Weep

When people take hold of the vision, the rst seal they receive is one of compassion for souls. The Prophet Ezekiel had a vision of an angel with

an inkhorn and this angel marked the foreheads of those who wept for the nation. This means that those who receive the mark are compelled by compassion. In order for you to gather your twelve, you must exhibit compassion. These people are the result of your prayers, requests, and supplications—which you made prior to winning them. Those who are part of your team are not there by coincidence. They exist as a result of your tears, intercession, and spiritual warfare (because you had to cleanse the atmosphere and cast out demons). For them to have remained in the vision, you had to carry them in prayer and sustain them in faith.

The Apostle Paul recognized the value of a soul, because those whom he won for the Lord were rst birthed in prayer and they later grew as they received his guidance. Paul said: “For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!” (1 Corinthians 9:16).

When you receive the vision, you labor with your whole heart, soul, and strength. You carry inside of you the seal of compassion.

The Seal upon the Forehead

The seal on the forehead represents the renewing of the mind.

When God called Abraham, He instructed him: “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house to a land that I will show you” (Genesis 12:1). Abraham loved his homeland, but he believed God. Due to his faith, God made him the father of many nations. Abraham left his family and in turn, God gave him a blessing through all the families of the

earth.

He left his land, and God gave him the land of Canaan. He was old man who had no children. Physically, it seemed impossible for this elderly man to father a child, but God had marked him and his wife, Sarah. God had put the mark “father of multitudes” upon Abraham and “princess” upon Sarah. It made no sense that this couple, who were both well past childbearing age and without an heir, was called father and mother of multitudes. The mark God placed on them implied that the laws of nature would have to change and no one could do that but God.

Abraham chose to believe God and called things that were not as though they were. He gave life to that which was dead. His mind conceived the miracle of multiplication and he envisioned his descendants increasing as the stars in the heavens.

By faith, we are the descendants of Abraham and we carry that same seal of faith in our hearts. If we would just dare to believe, we will have as many descendants as the stars in the heavens and all the grains of sand on earth.

Church growth doesn’t just happen. On the contrary, it comes as a result of rst winning the battle in the secret place. This is where your spiritual eyes are opened and you begin to see the multitudes.

If you have a clear, accurate vision of the scope and impact of your ministry, God will glorify Himself by giving you your heart’s desire.

In order to renew your mind, you need to be able to see with your spiritual eyes. When you are able to envision your disciples in the spirit,

you have already won them, but in order for this to occur, you must continually be in God’s presence.

When you renew your mind, you no longer labor with your own strength. Instead, you are totally dependent on God. All those who have renewed their minds know how to see with spiritual eyes and how to hear from God with spiritual ears. You must rst envision the scope and impact of your ministry in order to obtain it. You must catch a clear vision of what you long to accomplish. God will give you what you are able to see in faith and He will strengthen you as you spend time in the secret place of His presence.

The Seal upon the Lips

After your mind has been renewed, your lips will be ready to receive the seal of holiness (sanctication). In a vision, the prophet Isaiah saw the Lord seated on His throne with angels worshipping Him all around. Isaiah cried out: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips…” (Isaiah 6:5) Isaiah recognized that he had allowed himself to become contaminated with his nation’s vocabulary. He found himself speaking like the common people, and not speaking the language of the Lord. He repented and saw an angel y toward him with a live coal, touching his mouth delivering him from all sin and iniquity.

In order for you to be able to articulate the vision, you must sanctify your conversation. God must cleanse your lips so that you can speak words of life. Every one who is committed to the vision must speak words of faith, words of blessing, words that are positive and words that

anticipate growth. The last things your disciples want to hear are words of failure. They need to hear kind words of encouragement. Tell them how you see them through the eyes of faith. Let edication be at the core of every word that crosses your lips. Constantly speak constructively into the lives of your disciples because that will help them grow and be successful. Motivate and comfort them. If they fall, don’t tear them down, but correct them in love. Keep in mind that one negative word or act can destroy everything the Lord has been pouring into their lives for years.

The Lord took Ezekiel to a valley of dry bones and asked him, “Can these bones live?” Ezekiel responded, “ O Lord God, You know.” The Lord commanded him to: “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them…” (Ezekiel 37:1-4). When our lips are sanctied, we speak words that bring forth life. If you ask God to purify your lips, He will impart to you a word of authority that gives life.

The 144 Bring Multiplication

When the souls of your 144 are burning, Scripture says: “After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands” (Revelation 7:9). Note that the great multitude came forth only after the 144 have been established. This is when the seal or the mark of God is placed on their foreheads.
