“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light”
(1 Peter 2:9).
Forward The secret place, a place of truth a time of searching out the heart of God where I found the answer to a personal need that the revelation of the “DNA of Jesus” came to my spirit. The Spirit searches all things even the deep things of God. Understanding that we only know His thoughts, speak His words, and express His truth by the Spirit who is from God; thus having the mind of Christ. As you read this book you will experience first hand, the joy, and excitement that my family and I lived when this truth came to me. Romans 8:5-8 speaks of living in a sinful nature having a negative outcome. It is a sinful nature, a genetic code marked by sin. What is the result of this sinful genetic code? A mind set on natural desires, a mind hostile to God, not submitting to God’s law, not capable of pleasing God. Adam was a living being (I Corinthians 15:45). The soul has the mind, the emotions, and the will; thus the reason why within the human being predominates: “I think”, “I feel”, “I want”.
Applying the DNA of Jesus has a personal and divine revelation abolishing the sinful nature of man and annulling its effects and it is when the “I think”, “I feel”, and “I want” surrender to the feet of the living Spirit. In Jesus’ nature predominated a surrendering of His thoughts, His feelings and His desires to the will of the Father. This should predominate in those who have been born again. Understanding the totality of this revelation encompasses much. It is the Spirit that lives in you the one which raised Jesus Christ from the dead that will ultimately reveal this to your spirit. Romans 8:17 confirms a royal priesthood by first becoming His children, His heirs and ultimately His Co-Heirs with Christ. Co Heirs in suffering and in glory. The Word of God is clear about kings and priests, chosen people, holy nation, a royal priesthood. At times you will find some words used interchangeably such as lineage or bloodline however maintaining the central message and focus of a “Royal Priesthood”. A Royal Priesthood brought forth by a Royal Priest, a Royal Lineage brought forth by a Royal King, a Royal Blood, without spots or blemish, the DNA of Jesus Christ. Pastor Cesar Castellanos D.
Introduction “Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days. I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke” (Joel 2:29-30). In the book of Joel, God reveals several end time events that are to come to pass. He describes His plan to pour out His Spirit on all flesh before He returns. In addition, the book of Joel talks about God’s wonders displayed in heaven and earth in the form of blood, fire, and pillars of smoke; all of which are signs of the last days. I used to read these verses and think that they were describing a rise of violence and natural disasters which would occur in the last days. However, if we take a look back in history, we can see that these things have always been around. Now I believe that these verses pertain to the blood of Jesus, our Redeemer. The fire represents the Holy Spirit, our Counselor, and the pillars of smoke are God’s guiding presence. The blood in this passage is the blood of Jesus. His blood is the only blood that can enter the Kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 15:50) and the only blood that has access to the Holy of Holies (Hebrews 9:12). Just like the day of Pentecost, we will once again see a mighty visitation of the Holy Spirit in flames of fire. In this time, believers will boldly preach the Gospel just like the Apostles of old. They will move in the power of God with signs and wonders. The fire of God is a powerful indicator that Jesus is returning soon.
The flames of revival will increase with passion for God, and the Church of Christ will be able to conquer new things once we understand this revelation. The fire of God will be in heaven and on earth. The pillars of smoke represent trusting in God and His presence, which guides us. The presence of God guides us in the same way it led the people of Israel through the desert. In this way, we can feel His presence and rest in Him (Exodus 33:14). After having an encounter with Jesus, each person should understand the incomparable power of His blood. The next step is learning to apply the power of His blood over our lives daily. The truth and the power of the blood of Jesus cannot simply be something we learn about. The blood of Jesus has to touch our hearts and become a lifestyle.
THE FIRE OF GOD CHANGES OUR HEARTS One of the things that really touched my heart, as a new believer, was the power of the blood of Jesus. At first, I did not completely understand the entire revelation of the blood of Jesus, but I did understand that it was a great source of power. One night soon after I had accepted Jesus, I felt a surprisingly strong demonic attack. I had just finished teaching the Word at a meeting and my friend and I were walking home late at night. As we walked, we shared with each other what God had done in the meeting. On our way home, we approached a man dressed in a trench coat with his hands in his pockets. When we walked past this man, my friend began to feel an inexplicable strength controlling his mind. My friend wanted to tell me
what was going on, but his tongue felt thick and heavy and he could not speak. At that time, I really did not know what was going on, but I knew that something was wrong. Immediately, I yelled out, “Jesus, cover me with Your blood!” As soon as I made this confession, I literally felt a light shine on me. The man that was with us on the road was evil, and God gave me supernatural strength to confront him. This battle lasted for only a block, but it was the longest block of my life! It was sometime later that I understood that the man we encountered on that lonely street was involved in witchcraft. That day I understood that the enemy is constantly after us, and we never know when he will attack. The enemy tries to paralyze his victims by surprising them at the most unexpected times. Most importantly, understand that when we apply the blood of Jesus with faith, it will never fail to protect us. This experience was profound in my early Christian life, and I always pondered why God had allowed it to happen. Over time, I forgot about the power of the blood of Jesus and focused on other things. A few years ago, the Lord awakened my awareness once again and clearly revealed to me the power that lies in the blood of Jesus. The revelation of the power of the blood of Jesus has taken my life, my family, and the ICM church to a new level of prayer. Some time ago, during my time of devotion, I asked God why He had waited so many years to reveal to me the many blessings of the blood of Jesus. He simply replied, “Son, just be grateful that I have shared this with you. Many of my servants have passed away without even having a portion of this revelation.” Understanding the power of the blood of Jesus has been such an
incredible revelation. Recently, the ICM church had a month of miraculous meetings where we saw more people healed than at any other time in our ministry. Together as a church, we understand that everything we need has already been granted to us through the blood of Jesus, on the road to Calvary, and on the cross. Dear reader, please do not remain satisfied with only a vague understanding of the blood of Jesus. In your heart, make the decision to become an expert in the power of Jesus’ blood. In addition, becoming an expert will allow you to teach others about the power of His blood. The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean. How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! (Hebrews 9:13-14). The book of Hebrews states that the blood of Jesus was willingly offered, in our favor, by the eternal Spirit of God. Christ’s redemptive work will endure for all eternity. From the beginning of Jesus’ ministry, He did everything to destroy the power the enemy had over people’s lives, the earth, and every other area where he had dominion or control. The first couple was tempted by the enemy. They fell and lost everything they had. Thousands of years later, Jesus confronted the enemy in the desert, which is the opposite of paradise. Satan tried to tempt Jesus with a vision of paradise and offered him control of it if He would worship
him. Jesus was not impressed because He created paradise. He then declared the Word of God and began to defeat the enemy. The enemy was desperate and used his favorite tactics. He caused Jesus to be: Betrayed by one of his closest disciples. Scourged by the executioners. Mocked with the crown of thorns. Damaged in His self-esteem when His face was disfigured and when His beard was ripped off. Bound by His hands so that He could not serve. Nailed with His feet to the cross so that He could not continue in the divine purpose. Crushed in His heart with intense anguish. Jesus completely conquered all of Satan’s methods and destroyed the enemy. Before His last breath, Jesus said, “It is finished” (John 19:30). When Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, everything that had to be done to rescue humanity from power of the enemy was completed. After I understood the power in the blood Jesus shed, my prayer life changed dramatically. I now understand that I do not have to fight with the enemy. In addition, I no longer battle in spiritual warfare as if I, myself were personally fighting with Satan. I now know that the blood of Jesus has already defeated the enemy, and that all I have to do is apply the blood and wait on the Lord.
Chapter 1:
A Chosen Lineage
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light” (1 Peter 2:9). Fifteen months ago, God granted us a miracle named Matias. The way in which the Lord brought this child into our lives is truly a miracle. Every time my wife Claudia and I see him, our hearts are deeply moved with thanksgiving to God for giving us such a special gift. God protected our son, who could have been denied the right to exist, and entrusted him to us. One night as we were eating dinner together, I began to notice something different about Matias. Matias was six months old at the time, and like most babies, he was restless. However, this time he was more agitated than usual. He was acting strangely, and we had never seen him act in this way before. My wife and I could tell that something was wrong. The first thing that came to my mind was generational curses. As I prayed the next day, I said to the Lord, “Father, help me. Teach me how to pray for Matias.” Immediately, I felt the Lord tell my spirit, “Apply the DNA of Jesus over Matias’ DNA.” This was truly new to me as I had never heard anyone preach about Jesus’ DNA, nor how to apply it. My eyes were opened when the Lord told me to do this. It was at that moment, that I understood what the Lord was teaching me. “From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live”
(Acts 17:26). Paul explains that all the nations on the earth are made of one blood because our DNA, our genetic code, has a history. We all come from Adam’s bloodline.
CHANGING THE DNA When God created Adam, his DNA was pure and had no type of contamination. This made man different, and his blood was superior to that of any other creature in the universe. Man’s bloodline was of royal lineage because God said, “… Let us make man in our image, in our our likeness …” (Genesis 1:26a). Adam’s genes were derived from God’s genes, the King of Kings, the Son of God, “…the son of Adam, the son of God (Luke 3:38b). It was God’s original plan that we would also have the same DNA as our father, God. This all changed when Adam sinned. As a result of Adam’s sinful nature, his genetic code, or DNA was altered. The mutation or change in Adam’s DNA was then passed down from generation to generation. In his first letter to the Corinthians, Paul explains the parallel between Adam and Jesus’ bloodline. He says: “And so it is written, ‘“The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the
image of the heavenly Man” (1 Corinthians 15:45-49 NKJV). We need a complete change in our genetic code. As followers of Christ, this verse helps us to understand God’s overall plan, when He gave His only son Jesus. “For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh atonement by reason of the life” (Leviticus 17:11 NASB). When Adam, the first living soul sinned, his blood was immediately contaminated and his genetic make-up was altered. As a result of the contamination of Adam’s DNA, he went from a position of authority to the position of a slave. Adam’s wrong decisions took him out of God’s divine purpose and annulled all of the privileges that God had given him. He went from a governor to being governed, from a leader to being led, from freedom to slavery. He once enjoyed a relationship with God but now needed to hide and flee from Him. Since the fall of man, every human’s DNA is characterized by its slavery to sin, and this continued until the last Adam came to the earth. In God’s original plan, Adam was the model for man on the earth, but his sin changed him. Adam’s character was reproduced in all of his descendants. In order to save humanity, Jesus began a new chapter in the history of mankind. The first Adam opened the door to curse, and the last Adam, Jesus, suffered the consequences of sin when He willingly gave His life. “We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep
before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth” (Isaiah 53:6-7). When Jesus died and rose again, He became the second man, the last Adam, with a new genetic code.
A NEW GENETIC CODE The only way to redeem the entire human race from the consequences of sin and death was for a second man to come (1 Corinthians 15:47). This new man could not come from the same genealogy as the first man. “The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” “But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus.” (Luke 1:28, 30-31). It is as though God had said, “Mary, a new genetic code will come from your womb, and the second Adam will come to the earth, Jesus the savior of the world (Author’s Interpretation). Jesus came and opened a new path for all of us. He created a new bloodline without contamination, and a new DNA. We are able to receive this new DNA by being born of God. In other words, our genetic code has to change. “Children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God” (John 1:13). After establishing the parallel between Adam and Jesus, Paul concludes by saying:
“I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable” (1 Corinthians 15:50). The Lord revealed all these things to me and then taught me how to pray for Matias. I prayed, “Lord, I apply Jesus’ DNA over Matias’ DNA and I declare that Your DNA absorbs, annuls, and replaces his original DNA.” I prayed early in the morning, and that very day, I could see that our son was different and happier than ever. He laughed the entire day, he was happy, and you could see his face shine in a special way. I can honestly say that from that day forward, Matias reflects a new, spiritual nature after applying Jesus’ DNA, combined with faith (Mark 9:22-23). I shared this during one of my visits to Brazil, and one of the members of my team felt in his heart that this message was God’s answer to his prayers. He had been praying for his son to change because at thirteen months, he could already see that he had a very strong character. Whenever he played with his four year old sister, he would pull her hair, bite, and scratch her. His parents did not even know how to pray for him. When this man returned home to Bogota, he prayed for his son in the same way that I had prayed for Matias. The next day his son was completely changed. These changes took place as a result of God’s divine revelation of the power of Jesus’ DNA, combined with the authority of the Word and faith. I know that you love the Lord and that in your heart you have no desire to offend Him with your words or actions. Regardless, you may still have impulses and desires inside of you causing you to do things that are wrong. If this is the case in your life, it is a sign that your old
nature or DNA has not changed. Today you can pray and say to the Lord with all of your heart, “Jesus, I take Your DNA and I apply it to my life. I declare that Your DNA absorbs, annuls, and replaces my DNA.”
