Look,child...

My little grandson lives in Poblenou with his parents. He is a very happy child.

Today we are walking around the neighborhood.

— Look, baby! That is the park you like! — I want to go!, says my little one.

He walks with the pigeons and the birds. They are flying. He is happy. We continue in the boulevard looking at the stores and restaurants. He watches and screams at firefighters.

—Grandma, I like their truck!

— My dear child, this neighborhood has many interesting things. Here in Poblenou we have a primary care center, a large library, public schools, theaters, stores, bars, restaurants, an excellent public transport service and many other things. Look baby, we are in front of the School for adults, where I study English. Now let’s go home, honey!

PrimSquare

There is an square in the neighborhood, its colloquial name is “Els pescadors”, ”The fishermen”, because in the XIX century, the fishermen's families lived there.

It has a little square, is the oller space of the neighborhood. For me it is the most beautiful corner. In the square there are three centenary trees and one fountain.

That space has a project for the city hall, only can build up to two or five floors height.

Nowadays there is an expensive restaurant, but years ago it was a popular restaurant with a cheap menu.

It’s a quiet corner inside the city.

Poblenou

My neighborhood is new since 1992, before then it was full of factories.

Now it is pretty to take a walk by its streets, there are very tall buildings.

There are also many parks and areas to play. The sea is very close, it is always full of people playing football. There are also restaurants of different kinds, Japanese, Indian, Argentinean, Italian, etc.

It is very nice my neighbourhood because I walk every day. I go to El Tio Che to drink tiger nut milk because I really like it.

In summer, I enjoy to go to the beach early in the morning because there are no people. There are groups of young people that play volleyball and when it is windy there are surfers in the water.

Also, at night, I like to go to restaurants in front of the beach.

In June, on Sant Joan’s day celebration I like to go to the beach and watch the fireworks because I like the colours.

Summertime is my favourite and I like to do activities in my neighborhood.
