PAINTING: BOB ROSS TECHNIQUE

Everyone remembers Bob Ross, the iconic landscape painter with the soothing voice from PBS’ The Joy of Painting.® But did you know that he also pioneered a technique which made it easier for painters of all skill levels to experience the exhilaration of bringing beautiful landscapes and seascapes to life in much less time than traditional oil painting methods? Join a Certified Bob Ross Instructor and begin to learn the Bob Ross technique—making clouds, mountains and water appear in seconds! Students will need to purchase some supplies for this class; please email jhering@cfcc.edu to request a supply list.

Studio Symphony Orchestra

This course allows novice and experienced instrumental musicians an opportunity to be part of a community symphonic orchestra. This course is open to strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion and keyboard.

This project has been designed for those that are justice-involved by assisting with locating transitional housing, support services, career development, and training to increase successful reentry. Cape Fear Community college has partnered with LINC to assist in these services. A partnership has also been created with community partners to assist in employment.

Eligibility:

• Returning to New Hanover or Pender County in the next 20-180 days

• Be willing to participate in workforce development programs such as job training and certifications

Services include assistance with:

• Job training & certifications

• Transportation cost

• Medical Services

• Educational opportunities
