How to Register for Surf City Classes

Visit cfcc.edu/ewd. Click on the “Search For Classes” widget and on the upper left menu select “Registration/Course Search” to find your course. You can pay using a debit/credit card. Cash, check, or money orders are also acceptable forms of payment for students who wish to register in person. The center is located at 621 N.C. Highway 210 East in Hampstead. Introduction To Photography

Learn how to use your digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera to its fullest capability. Students will explore basic and advanced camera features through classroom discussions, demonstrations and hands-on activities. You will also learn about good photo composition and techniques for photographing a variety of subjects such as landscapes, sports and people. Participants should bring their own DSLR camera to class, along with its interchangeable lenses, owner’s manual, memory cards, and other accessories.

Intermediate Photography

The course is designed to further refine and extend our skills of photographic seeing and execution through specific assignments. This class will push you towards working on greater challenges both technical and aesthetic. As you advance, you will build a body of work of your choosing to present at the last class.

PAINTING: MULTIMEDIA

Whether novice or experienced, you can work at your own pace using your choice of subject matter and painting medium. Work with oils, pastels, acrylics, or watercolor under the instruction of local artist. Each student receives one-on-one instruction. Students must bring their own supplies.
