ASEPRI AND BIOMECHANICS INSTITUTE OF VALENCIA (IBV), together with their project partners, will present the results of the European project Design4Children at FIMI June 2013.‐ Next Friday 21st of June, at 12:15, in FIMI – International Children’s Fashion Fair in Valencia‐ ASEPRI AND BIOMECHANICS INSTITUTE OF VALENCIA (IBV), together with their project partners, will present the results of the European project Design4Children at FIMI. The project has three main technological developments beyond the state‐of‐the‐art, and the goal is to turn them into products and introduce them in the market so that users can take profit of the studies made during the project life. The products represent an innovation for the industry, and will present a market opportunity for those innovative companies which continuously search for competitive advantages. The three products are ; “Design Supporter” that will help design teams to introduce enhanced functionalities to products and assure children’s comfort and wellbeing; “Virtual Tester”, capable of predicting children’s comfort and products’ lifespan according to functional performance properties from virtual prototypes; and “Purchase Advisor” that will be accessible via the Internet and at points of sale, and will help customers and retailers to select the products that better match their children’s needs. During the presentation also will be advanced the first results of e‐Child (http://e‐child.euproject.org), a European project of the Leonardo program that aims to create a course of specialization in ergonomics and ease of use for child product designers.
