Target Population: Angel Guardian Home is comprised of 12 two-bedroom apartments in the Women’s Village and provides long-term affordable housing for mothers with disabilities and their children, who are especially vulnerable to homelessness. Services Available: Services include job development and placement, case management and life skills training. Families pay a modest rent based on a percentage of their income and may live at Angel Guardian Home until the youngest child reaches 18.

Target Population: Single moms 18+ with children who are currently homelessness are eligible. Shelter is also a sober-living facility. Services Available: This one year program helps provide women with the structure necessary to find employment, save money for the future, and move on to another level of housing. They provide housing, meals, showers, clothing, transportation and linkage to mental health and medical services. They prepare participants with training in personal and life skills, parenting skills, financial management, and personal presentation. A GED class is also offered on-site. Target Population: Farley has 21 one-bedroom apartments for mothers and their children. Services Available: Farley House is home to The Village Kitchen, a culinary arts training program; the Employment and Client Services Center; and a computer lab and community room for life skills workshops and resident gatherings. Other services include counseling, advocacy and support for family reunification. The ultimate goal is that at the end of her stay at Farley House, a woman is well-prepared for maintaining employment, financial stability, and permanent housing.

Languille Emergency Shelter (Good Shepherd Center Residences)

Target Population: Languille Emergency Shelter provides a temporary home for 30 women who are taking the first crucial step out of homelessness toward a life of dignity and self-sufficiency. The women who come through the doors of Languille have lived on the streets or in their cars, fled domestic violence, suffered a job loss, experienced health problems or other life circumstances that led them to homelessness. Services Available: This is a 12-week program designed to empower women to obtain the resources needed to become self-sufficient. Services include temporary housing, case management/resources & referrals, job development and employment services, placement into transitional or permanent housing.

Target Population: Homeless single parents under age 24 with children under five years of age. The majority of the parents in their program are former foster youth. Services Available: Gramercy Shelter provides affordable housing and support services, including counseling, case management, job training, education

Target Population: Teen and young adult women who are pregnant or parenting and their children are eligible. For the Residential Treatment Program, women who are referred directly by the Los Angeles County’s foster care or probation systems are eligible. For the Bogen Family Transitional Housing Program, young women must be emancipating out of the juvenile courts and starting their lives as independent adults. They must be referred by one of various social service agencies throughout Los Angeles County. Services Available: Residents receive the following support services: job training, child care, education and vocational resources, employment placement, medical and mental health services, family literacy assistance, life skills training, and fiscal responsibility counseling. The goal of their program is to provide necessary tools and resources to equip their residents to be independent adults raising their children in a healthy environment. referrals, and on-going enrichment opportunities. Residents are required to pay rent, participate in parenting classes, utilize counseling, and attend a tenant association. A full time social worker, outreach coordinator, and a residential manager are all on site for support. Childcare is also provided on site.

Target Population: Homeless young women age 1821, including pregnant women or women with one child (up to 1 year old), coming out of emergency shelters, foster care, and probation are eligible. Services Available: They provide housing (from 18 months to three years), case management, counseling, job training, legal referrals, life skills coaching, and much more. The goal of the program is to help these young women start a new life and develop necessary skills in order to accomplish their goals with pride and dignity. Their local facility is located in North Hollywood.
