HAND DRAWING/ ILLUSTRATION

EL DIBUJADOR El dibujador (roughly translated as “the maker of drawings) draws his whole life from some time ago. He started remembering moments and then drew them, trying to be precise in every detail, capturing everything. Doing so, those moments belonged to him. El dibujador is a voyeur of his own life.

ARCHITECTURAL DRAWING/ CAD

Axonometric for the ARCHIPRIX SELECTION pannels. AutoCAD, printed and transfered on wood, October 2009, Urban Asymmetries master group.

DRAWING ARCHITECTURE 2005 Representation of diagramatical sections of Drawing is of course a basic tool for architects to express and communicate their ideas. In the Barcelona School (ETSAB) drawing is regarded as one of the basic skills of the architect, dedicating a lot of academical effort in representation of plans, diagrams and technical drawings through various techniques, including computer aided design (CAD).

the city of Maó (Menorca), published in the actualization of the Urban Plan. 2007 Update and fixing of the technical details of the “5 sentidos lounge bar” project in Empuria Brava (Spain), for the publication in DETAIL SPAIN magazine.

2009 Preparation of the panels for the ARCHIPRIX selection (above). The aim is not to show an estatic building, but the processes that build and shape the proposed project, an attempt to representate a “process-based architecture”.

MÉNAGE À MOI “ménage à moi is a very small t-shirts&more brand which currently sells in some shops in barcelona, rotterdam and valladolid. they are stencilled, hand-made cotton printing which makes each clothing unique. we also see it as a way of recycling t-shirts that are blank or have very small prints or stains, making them cooler to wear, keeping the price somewhat low. they have messages or images which will probably make you

the center of attention, which is something that we all secretly love; some of them even make the watcher actively envolved in the message. *ménage à moi* is a cult&trash t-shirt collection for egocentric urbans who are not afraid to put art pieces on.”

PHOTOSHOPPING Photography interested me in my school years, experimeting with b/w photography and developing. In my proffesional life I have always ran away from the realistic look of “renders“ and computer simulations. Therefore, I always preferred working with Photoshop to add textures and “liveliness” to architectural perspectives. This gave me an enhanced experience in image editting, which I have later used also in my personal projects.

COLLAGE/ MIXED MEDIA

Panels representing the different scales of Thomas MORE’s “Utopia”. The island, the street, the public space. Collage (non-digital) and ink on paper, September 2008 Urban Asymmetries master group.

CUT AND PASTE Collage was one of my favourite techniques to build quick images of my projects. The immediateness of the process, and yet the “fake reality” evoked by the photographic textures combined in sketchy but powerful images that worked very well graphically.

2008 Panels after reading Tomas MORE’s “Utopia” (above). The island of Utopia is here represented with the imagery of the 20th century modernism. There is a sense of “lost future”, a feeling of despair evoked by the perfection of infrastructure diagrams and the desolated open spaces of the Modernist City, where the grotesque customs of the utopians take place. It reminds us that built utopias tend to enter the realm of the dystopian.
