February 11TH, 2017 Dear Sierra Canyon Family, Greetings to you from the Gala Committee! It is truly an honor and privilege for us to bring you a night of Motown Magic for this year’s Gala celebration! The Motown era was music that changed America in so many ways; it is a sound that celebrates joy and passion, and is so symbolic of such an important time in the history of our country. Motown music broke down barriers, and built up new communities and ideas through its melodies, movements, and words. The legacy of Motown with all its vision and breakthroughs is not lost on us; indeed, this drive, inspiration, and determination are the same virtues that we reflect at Sierra Canyon. We hope that together, we create a place for our children not only to grow, but also to blossom and strive for their best; a place where they can reach and surpass the goals they have in their lives. We hope that our children will be stepping into their futures with the same excitement and vision that Motown gave our world. Tonight is an evening in which we can all come together and celebrate all the wonderful things that make our school so great. We gather as a community tonight to appreciate the bounty that is offered through our incredible faculty, our compassionate administration, and everyone on campus who plays a part in the life of our children. There are so many people that we would like to thank who made this evening possible. Each person who contributed their time, talent, and heart has played an invaluable part in making tonight so special for our school family. A big thanks to our Board of Trustees, the amazing team in the Development Office, and the Parents’ Association for their ongoing work and support. We hope that you will enjoy this magical evening of Motown fun as we celebrate our amazing school!

Our warmest regards and Motown lovin’, Laura Cathcart Robbins, Stefanie Karp, Jen Kumin, Grace Park, and Catherine Tripodis The 2017 Gala Chair and Steering Committee
