THE FIRST FOUR

INCLU DING CHOOSE YOU R OWN!

Brand New, Balanchine, and Broadway This eight-premiere package offers a rarely distilled look at what’s new at PNB. Two specially commissioned world premiere works from pioneer boundary-breaker Twyla Tharp launch the season, and more new works take the stage in November with additions from Mark Morris and rising-star dancer/choreographers Benjamin Millepied and PNB’s own Kiyon Gaines. The return of George Balanchine’s full-length Jewels™ offers a breathtaking neoclassic pause in February before March kicks up its heels with premieres of three Broadway masterworks and the return of Susan Stroman’s TAKE FIVE … More or Less.

THE FINAL FOUR THE CL ASSICS From Balanchine’s gems to modern-day masterworks and moonlit swans, this package combines great music and dance for powerful classics to classical substance. Following Jewels’ multifaceted kaleidoscope of style and splendor, March’s trio of premieres joins Susan Stroman’s TAKE FIVE … More or Less to capture timeless Broadway magic. The spring’s exquisite classical centerpiece is Kent Stowell’s Swan Lake, returning in full-length majesty to fill McCaw Hall’s stage with idyllic beauty and stunning performances. Two major PNB acquisitions, Jerome Robbins’ Dances at a Gathering and Christopher Wheeldon’s After the Rain pas de deux, combine with Symphony in C’s show-stopping virtuoso technique to cap the season with significance.
