Welcome to the Spotlight Concert 2016! Tonight I proudly present you an exhibition of musical performances by talented young pianists from Dr. Orn Studio. Their performances represent not days, but years of hard work, dedication and commitment from students, parents and teachers. Our mission at Dr. Orn Studio is to foster well-rounded pianists to make music with understanding of style, effortless technique and strong individuality. Together with my teaching assistants, through private lessons and performance classes, we inspire creativity and cultivate musicianship in every detail that we emphasize. I would like to thank all of you today for your presence on this special night. Your attendance and support will provide our pianists with the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience. I trust that you will get to know our young artists through their showmanship and artistry tonight. Last but not least, I would like to sincerely say a million ‘Thank You’s to all the supportive parents in the studio. I consider myself very lucky to not only be acquainted to you as your children’s piano teacher, but also as a friend and family as well.
Dr. Pornphan Banternghansa Director Dr. Orn Studio
Pornphan Banternghansa (Dr. Orn) Pianist and composer Pornphan Banternghansa is a native of Bangkok, Thailand. She started studying piano at the age of 4 at Yamaha Music School (JMC) and later continue her private lessons with Ajarn Pantipa Treepoonpon and Ajarn Kesorn Jittawait. Pornphan received a Bachelor’s degree doubling major in Piano Performance and Composition as a full scholarship recipient from the University of Miami under Rosalina Sackstein, a pupil of Claudio Arrau, and the late Dr. Teresa Escandon, a student of Jorge Bolet. She was also awarded ‘Outstanding Student in Music Composition, Traditional and Media Writing’. As a recipient of a Collaborative Piano Graduate Award, she held a Doctoral of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music studying with Professor Rebecca Penneys while she was also a teaching assistant for a piano literature class at Eastman, a staff accompanist at Ithaca College and serves as a faculty at Community School of Music in Ithaca, NY. Pornphan has participated in numerous music festivals including the Salzburg College Summer Program, Chautauqua Music Festival and Aspen Music Festival. She was also selected as the first ever pianist from Thailand to participate in the prestigious Verbier Academy in Switzerland and received a scholarship from HRH Princess Galayani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra. While at Verbier she received public masterclasses held by world renowned pianists such as Dimitri Bashkirov, Nelson Georner, and Claude Frank. She has also worked with Joseph Kalichstein, Gabriel Chodos, Mikhail Kopelman, Logan Skelton, Robert Levin and Paul Badura-Skoda. Other than performing extensively in Thailand, she has been featured in many recitals and festivals worldwide where she also performed her compositions in Asia, Europe, and the United States of America. Her most recent performances includes an invitation to perform Mendelssohn’s Violin and Piano Sonata at Mendelssohn Haus, Leipzig, along with renowned Thai Violinist, Tasana Nagavajara and a solo piano recital on Steingraeber and Sohn piano at Steingraeber Haus in Bayreuth, Germany. She has appeared as soloist with Bangkok Symphony Orchestra and Thailand Youth Orchestra. As a pedagogue, Pornphan is often invited as a piano faculty of music festivals such as Silpakorn Summer Music School and most recently at the Asia International Piano Festival & Competition in Seoul, Korea. She is a full-time piano faculty at Silpakorn University and also teaches young pianists privately at her home where her students have won numerous prizes both nationally and internationally.

Thinnarat Meethongkum (Tin) Prominent performer and accompanist Thinnarat Meethongkum joined Dr.Orn studio 5 years ago when she started her undergraduate degree in piano performance at the Faculty of Music, Silpakorn University as a leading pianist of her class. Thinnarat has been active in performing and joining competitions since middle school. She was a student at Wattana Wittaya Academy where she held a position of school pianist, chosen from students with excellence to perform in school special events. Since 2003, Thinnarat attended the Yamaha Thailand Music Festival until 2009 in which she was always a top prize winner including gold prizes from the solo piano competition category. Thinnarat participated in the 1st Siam International Piano Competition and the 4th International Chopin Piano Competition in Malaysia. She also recently attended the Asia International Pacific Academy and Festival with Competition in Korea and won a Bronze Prize in 2015. Thinnarat performed and accompany frequently under the name of Silpakorn University such as Friendship concerts, Piano Showcases and Masterclasses which provide her opportunities to work with world-renown artists such as Rebeca Penneys, Nicholas Ong and Alfonso Gomez. Thinnarat was chosen to be a member, holding position of pianist and harpsichord player of the Pro-Musica orchestra, leading classical orchestra in Thailand founded by Tasana Nagavajara, prominent violinist. Currently, Thinnarat is a student at Silpakorn University pursuing a master degree in collaborative piano. Throughout her musical studies, she has been under the guidance of Varinthara Varikarn, Dr. Tretip Kamolsiri, Dr. Eri Nakagawa, Jamorn Supapol, Dr. Pimchanok Suwannathada and Dr. Pornphan Banternghansa.
Pitchaya Sukonlapuk (Ingfah) Pitchaya began her piano study at the age of 10 with Mr. Chatchai Navathatree in Udonthani. In 2007, she had an opportunity to participate in the Modern Piano Competition and was selected as finalists, later in the same year she also passed the piano examination grade 5 by the Associated Board of the Royal School of music. Pitchaya decided to pursue a career in piano performance in 2008, where she became a student of a Young Artist Program (Pre-college) at the College of Music, Mahidol University. After years of participation in many solo recitals, chamber concerts and master classes, she became an outstanding individual and received a Merit Scholarship from the university in 2014. Pitchaya is currently working as a piano teacher at Mahidol University College of Music for general public and a part-time instructor at The Regent’s International School. Throughout her piano study, she has been under the tutelage of Dr.Ramasoon Sitalayan, Miss Eri Higashide, Dr. Jeeyung Lee, Dr. Wen-Hui Lily Lin and Dr. Pornphan Banternghansa.
Sasipa Rasmidatta (Fern) Sasipa Rasmidatta is an alumni of Wattana Wittaya Academy. She started piano accompanying at the age of thirteen as a school and church choral pianist. Sasipa received full scholarship for high school and undergraduate to study piano performance from Wattana Wittaya Academy and partial scholarship from Kasetsart University, where she has declared the 1 st rank highest admission score and graduated with the first class honour in 2006. She was also awarded additional tuition scholarship from Yamaha Foundation Thailand. Sasipa became an orchestral pianist of Bangkok Symphomy Orchestra, one of the leading orchestra in the nation since 2006. She had opportunities to work with world-renown artists such as Andrea Bocelli, David Foster, Mikhail Pletnev, Lea Salonga, Steve Sidwell, John Owen-Jones, Charice Pempengco, Jackie Evancho and also National Artists of Thailand; Charin Nantanakorn and Rear Admiral Veerapan Wor-klang. Besides being a pianist, Sasipa is a Chamber and Piano instructor at the Silpakorn University Music Honor Program associated with Mater Dei Institute and a piano instructor at the Bangkok Symphony Music School. She is also studying Master of Music in Collaborative Piano at the Faculty of Music, Silpakorn University. With excellence in both music and academic reputation. She received partial scholarship from the Faculty and the Fund for Classical Music Promotion under the Patronage of HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana.

Phatthicha Leowattana (Baibua) Age 8 Mater Dei School
Phatthicha became a student of Dr. Orn studio in 2015. Prior to that, she studied piano at Yamaha music school since 3 years old. Despite a very young age of 8 years old, Phatthicha showed distinctive talent in music by qualifying as finalists throughout the annual Yamaha Thailand Music Festival Competition in 2014, 2015 and 2016. She won numerous prizes in competitions including Third Prize winner at Churairat Piano Competition in 2015, First Prize winner at the Paris Grand Prize Virtuoso 2015 and First Prize at the London Grand Prize Virtuoso in 2016. Apart from music, Phatthicha loves to read and swim during her free time. Currently, Phatthicha is a student at Mater Dei School.
Vichamai Nukulvutthiopas (Mighty) Age 8 New Sathorn International School
8 year-old pianist Vichamai is a student of Dr. Pornphan Banternghansa. He had shown interest and talent in music since very young age, in 2014, he won First Prize at Hong Kong Piano Competition at the age of only 6 years old. In 2016 Vichamai received Second Prize for Piano Duet, under 8-year-old category from Yamaha Thailand Music Festival. Recently, Vichamai was the First Runner Up at Kawai Music Competition 2016 and Gold Prize of OSAKA Piano Competition regional round. He will continue to participate in the grand final round in Osaka, Japan in this coming October. Vichamai is currently a Brand Ambassador of Yamaha music Thailand by winning a very selective competition process.
Phatsacha Leowattana (Baiploo) Age 6 Mater Dei School
Phatsacha is a 6-year old piano student of Dr.Orn studio since the beginning of 2016. She started piano lessons at the age of 3 at Yamaha Music School. This year, she started to become active in performing and taking competitions. Distinctive achievements include qualifying as finalists at Yamaha Thailand Music Festival Competition in 2016 and being a First Prize winner at London Grand Prize Virtuoso 2016. Reading and Watching TV are her hobbies apart from music. Phatsacha is currently a student at Mater Dei School.
Weetiwat Siriwattanakorn (Bingo) Age 9 Bangkok Christian College
A native of Bangkok, Weetiwat Siriwattanakorn started playing the piano at the age of 4 at Siam Rama 3 School. Later in 2014, he is under the tutelage of Dr.Pornphan Banternghansa. Currently, at the age of 9, Weetiwat has already won many prestigious awards from piano competitions both nationally and internationally such as Gold Prize Award at The 16th Osaka International Music Competition (Infant B), First Prize Award at Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition (Vienna, Austria), Best Performers Award at The 6th ASEAN International Chopin Piano Competition (Young Talents Section), Gold Medal Prize at AADGT’s International Young Gifted Musicians Festival 2016, and First Place Winner of the American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition 2016. Apart from his music achievements, Weetiwat also won First Prize at a national competition, “International Quiz”, for English, Science, and Math subjects.
Pornpailin Monarumit (Piano) Age 12 Ruamrudee International School
Pornpailin became a member of Dr. Orn studio, under the guidance of Dr.Pornphan Banternghansa since 2015. Starting to play piano at the age of 3, Pornpailin has developed her interest in music as her hobby along with playing violin. Her achievement includes the 4th Grade certificate from piano examination provided by Trinity College London. Pornpailin is currently a student at Ruamrudee International School
Pacharamon Wachiranunjarukorn (Ploy) Age 13 Ekamai International School
Pacharamon started learning piano at the age of 4 at Yamaha Music School, later on in 2010, at the age of 7, she has been under the guidance of Dr. Pornphan Banternghansa. Pacharamon is a very responsible and creative student, she is always talkative and eager to learn new things. Pacharamon made achievement in many competitions and festivals. She received gold medals, silver medals along with many honorable prizes from Yamaha Thailand Music Festival in 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014. In 2014, Pacharamon successfully passed, with distinction the 5th grade in Piano examination hosted by Trinity College London. A year later, she won a gold medal from ACT Music Festival 2015 as a representative from her school; Lertlah at Kanchanapisek, where she was attended during her middle school time and held a position of the school’s leading young pianist. Pacharamon is currently studying at Ekamai International School, she continues to sustain academic excellence as well as her interests and hard work in music.
Siraya Monarumit (Proud) Age 14 Ruamrudee International School
Siraya started studying piano when she was 3 and a half. Since then, piano has always been her favourite hobby along with other instrument such as violin, flute and voice. She is also interested in Ballet and Jet Ski. Siraya has been under the tutelage of Dr.Pornphan Banternghansa since 2015. She maintained her academic excellence while being able to put afford and manage her time to do what she loves. Her achievement includes the 8th Grade certificate from piano examination provided by Trinity College London. Siraya is currently a student at Ruamrudee International School
Nawan Charanachitta (Claire) Age 7 Bangkok Patana School
Nawan is a lovely cheerful child, has a pleasant personality. She is extremely affectionate with her classmates and has bonded well with her peers. Besides, Nawan is a quick learner and takes keen interest in swimming which now she is a swimming athlete of Bangkok Patana School and Sport Club teams. Her most favourable hobby is photography but she is also enjoying other talented activities such as singing, playing violin, tennis, art and cooking. Nawan joined Dr.Orns studio in the beginning of 2016 since then, her keen interest in mastering the piano has accelerated quickly along with her techniques and ability.
Ariya Laothitipong (Jija)
Age 12 The Regent’s International School Bangkok
12 year-old Ariya, a leading young pianist of Thailand started studying with Dr. Pornphan Banternghansa in 2012. Because of her exceptional musical sensitivity and talent, Ariya had established the reputation of herself and the studio both nationally and internationally. Her achievements included prizes from competitions and many honorable chances of working with and performing for prestigious artists. Ariya won 1st prizes from The 3rd Trinity College London National Youth Piano Competition (2013), The 1st Hongkong International Music Competition for Young Pianists (2014), International Music Competition Paris Grand Prize Virtuoso (2015), and Yamaha Thailand Music Festival (2015) where she received Princess Pacharakittiyapa Trophy. 2nd prizes include The 15th Osaka International Music Competition (2014) and The 6th Asean international Chopin Piano Competition in Malaysia (2015). Ariya was invited twice to perform in the world most prestigious performing venue, Carnegie Hall in New York City by winning 1st Prize at the The Amercan Association for development of the Gifted and Talented (AADGT) International Young Gifted Musicians Festival “PASSION OF MUSIC 2015” and 2nd Prize at the American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition 2015. Most recently, in collaboration with Kasina Ansvananda, Ariya won 2nd prize from Princess Galayani Vadhana International Ensemble competition. Ariya participates regularly in music festivals and national competitions where she always receive outstanding gold medals and distinctions such as The Yamaha Thailand Music Festival in 2011 throughout 2014, The 17th SET Youth Musician Competition (2014), and Asia international Piano Academy & Festival with Competition in Korea (2015). Ariya also master the instrument Violin, in 2015, she scored highest in the nation at the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music Violin examination. As a result of a strong profile and excellence in musical ability, Ariya received a full music scholarship student at The Regent’s International School Bangkok where she is currently studying.
Kasina Ansvananda (Noina) Age 14 Harrow International School
Kasina started studying violin with Miss Omporn Kowintha at the age of 4 and has been a student of Mr. Siripong Tiptan since 2010. As a very active young performer in her generation, she had opportunities to work with many world-renown violinists including Michael Ma, Daniel Garlitsky, Nanette Chen, Roland Daugareil, Koichiro Harada, Nam Yun Kim, Michiko Kamiya and Mengla Huang. Kasina is also a high achiever in competitions. She won 1st prizes at the ANZCA Modern Piano & Violin Competition in 2009 and 2012, Trinity Awards Thailand 2012 for Piano Grade 4 Examination. Harrow Bangkok Advanced Musician and Music Scholar Competition 2014. Kasina was chosen to be a music scholarship student at Harrow International School Bangkok since 2013. In 2015, she was awarded Full Scholarship by Fund for Classical Music Promotion under the Patronage of HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana to participate in Ishikawa Music Academy Summer Camp. Most recently, in collaboration with Ariya Laothitipong, Kasina won 2nd prize from Princess Galayani Vadhana International Ensemble competition.
Trinity Jantarach (Trinity) Age 9 Bangkok Patana School
Trinity started studying piano at the age of 4 at KPN music school. At the age of 7, she started studying piano with Dr. Tretip Kamolsiri and was a finalist at The 3rd Siam Nat International Piano Competition in 2014. In 2015, under the tutelage of Dr. Pornphan Banternghansa, she won first place at The Churairat Piano Competition (Category A). Apart from the piano, Trinity also excels in Ballet in which she received grade 5 with distinction. She is also in the school’s swim team, gymnastics team and girl soccer team at Bangkok Patana School.
Pasit Wattanalekhawong (Guy) Age 7 Shrewsbury International School
Pasit started studying the piano since he was 4 and a half along with other interests of singing, painting and sports. Because of the rare characteristic of great maturity and open mind set, Pasit was always ahead of other and made great achievements in all kinds of activities. He has received very positive comments from his tutors and peers. Moreover, he cares very much about surrounding situations and people in which makes him a very unique and outstanding child. Pasit is a student at Shrewsbury international school where he was previously a student of Ms. Irina Novikova in piano study, later on in 2016, he is under the tutelage of Dr. Pornphan Banternghansa. Because of his favor in new challenges, Pasit participates regularly in concerts and competitions which brought him big pride prizes are followed: First prizes include International Music Competition Grand Prize Virtuoso (London,Vienna,Paris), 2nd Hong Kong Music Competition for Young Pianist, AADGT -Passion of Music (New York) and Kawai Music Competition. Second Prizes include Hong Kong Music Competition for Young Pianist and The 16th Osaka International Music Competition. Pasit also participates regularly in musical concerts and events, he surely is a very active young musician of Thailand.
Svari Tejacharoenanan (Teya) Age 6 Bangkok Patana School
Svari Tejacharoenanan started studying piano at the age of 5 with Boom Maneerin. In 2015, she was under the tutelage of Dr. Pornphan Banternghansa and in the same year, she was a finalist at Kawaii Piano Competition 2016. Other than piano, she also excels in ballet and drawing. Svari is a very fast learner, she continues to mature and grow very quickly as a musician.
Sithipont Cholsaipant (Pino) Age 14 Shrewsbury International School
Sithipont started his piano study at the age of 4 by enrolling in the Yamaha Music School Yamaha, before moving under the tutelage of Visudhisom Roong-in and then Irina Novikova. His current piano teacher is Dr. Pornphan Banternghansa, with whom he has been studying since 2014. At the young age of 10, Sithipont won the 1st Prize “Puangroy” and the “Youngest Finalist” Special Prize in the 2nd Siam International Piano Competition. A year later, he won the 3rd Place prize in the Trinity Thailand Awards 2013. He has also received a Silver Medal in the AADGT Music Festival 2014, which earned him a debut at New York’s Carnegie Hall. This was followed by a special scholarship and invitation for him to participate in the Salzburg International Music Festival. Last year, he has been awarded a Silver Prize in the AIPAF Music Festival and Competition and was the winner of the 9th Yokohama International Music Competition. This year, he has won a Silver Medal from the 18th SET Youth Musician Competition. Sithipont has been a music scholar at Shrewsbury International School since 2014, where he is a cellist for the school’s Symphony Orchestra. Sithipont has received masterclasses from many accomplished artists such as Murray Mclachlan, Prof. Dr. Tran Thu Ha, Prof. Phillip Fowke, Dr. Nicholas Ong, Prof. Vanessa Latarche and Prof. Dr. Rebecca Penneys. Sithipont is now a Year 11 student with a very strong academic, particularly in mathematics. Some of his achievements include two successive Gold Medals in the Thailand Mathematics Evaluation in 2012 and 2013; a Silver Medal in the British Junior Mathematical Olympiad 2014; a 1st Place Overall Team Award in the FOBISIA Secondary Mathematics Competition 2015; a 6 th Place Individual Award in the South East Asia Mathematics Competition 2016. Most recently, he was among the top nine students that received Gold Medals from the 13th Thailand Mathematical Olympiad 2016. His excellence in music and academic established him a profile of a leading young artist and an accomplished individual.
Tarisa Chanpong (Kate)
Age 13 Ruamrudee International School
Tarisa Chanpong, age 13, started her musical journey at the age of 4 when she first enrolled in Junior Music Course at Yamaha Music School. She has been recruited by the director of the Siam Rama III Conservatoire Music to join the Gifted and Talented Program studying under tutelage of Prof. Dr.Eri Nakagawa and Dr. Navaya Shinasharkey. In 2012, Tarisa became a student of Dr. Pornphan Banternghansa. Under her guidance, she has received numerous awards from both national and international competitions with recent prizes including Gold Prize and Special prize (highest score) winner at 2015 Asia International Piano Academy & Festival’s concerto competition in Korea, semi-finalist at Virginia Waring Piano Competition 2015, 1st Place Winner for American Protégé Romantic Music 2014, 2nd Prize Winner from 15th Osaka International Music Competition in Japan for both solo and Concerto Course. At the national level, she won the Royal Trophies from HRH Princess Patchara Kittiyapa from the Yamaha Thailand Music Festival for Piano Solo in 2014 and Piano Duet in 2013, Golden Prize Winner for 18th SET Youth Music Competition and 16th Settrade Music Youth Competition, Best Compulsory Prize Winner for 3rd Trinity College London National Youth Piano Competition. On March 20, 2015, Tarisa has made her debut charity piano solo recital “Play It All” at Goethe Institute playing songs from Baroque to 20th century era. Later that year, she has performed Camille Saint-Saëns “The Carnival of the Animals” together with her teacher Dr. Pornphan Banternhansa and Pro Musica Ensemble: Conducted by Tasana Nagavajara at M-Theatre. This year, Tarisa has received a full scholarship from Adam Gyorgy, Steinway Artist, to participate in the 10 days Adam Gyorgy Castle Academy in Budapest Hungary. To date, Tarisa has completed Yamaha Music Grade 5, teacher certification standard, for both Piano Performance and Fundamentals. Furthermore, she has participated in master classes with many renowned concert pianists and pedagogy from around the world namely Adam Gyorgy, Prof Gyorgy Nador, Prof. Rolf Dieter Arens, Prof. Grigory Gruzman, Dr. Balazs Reti, Prof Tomasz Herbut, Prof Young-Hyun Cho, Prof. Dr. Woonyung Yang, Dr. Thomas Rozenkranz, Dr. Nicholas Ong, Dr. Kim Bo-Kyung, and Atsuko Seta. Aside from piano, Tarisa excels academically as a student currently at Ruamrudee International School (RIS). She also enjoys reading, swimming and listening to music.
Kankamol Kedsiri (Gun)
Age 20 College of Music, Mahidol University Kankamol started his first piano lesson at the age of 4 at Yamaha Music School. Since then, he had participated regularly in musical events including concerts, examinations and competitions. In 2005 and 2009, he received 1st prize from Yamaha Thailand Music Festival along came with many honorable prizes. During the same period, Kankamol successfully passed, with distinction, the 5th grade of music theory and piano performance from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Since 2011, he became a piano student of the Young Artist Program at College of Music, Mahidol University under the tutelage of Parvati Mani. Kankamol has been an active performer in the college of music and has been selected frequently to perform in the Mahidol Piano Student Concerts. In 2015, he received a Gold Prize from Asia International Piano Academy and Festival with Competition in Korea. He had opportunities to work with prestigious artists including Yukio Yokoyama, Mitra Alice Tham, Dr. Robert Satterlee, Dr. Nicholas Ong, Alfonso Gomez, Dr. Jeremy Samolesky, Prof. Rebecca Penneys, Dr. Daniela Mineva, and Dr.Thomas Rosenkranz through master classes.
 Currently, he is a third year undergraduate piano performance student at College of Music, Mahidol University under the coaching of Prof. Rolf-Dieter Arens.
Peerapol Opaspanwong (P) Age 21
University of Missouri Kansas City Peerapol Opaspanwong started his piano lesson at the age of 12 with Mr. Wanchana Sompakdee. In 2011, He was admitted to College of Music, Mahidol University (Pre-college program), where he study with Dr. Jeeyung Lee and Dr. Eri Nakagawa. Peerapol started studying with Dr. Pornphan Banternghansa in 2014 where he became more active in performing in musical events. Peerapol attended the Asia International Pacific Academy and Festival with Competition in Korea in 2015 where he won a gold medal prize. Most recently, in the beginning of 2016, he was accepted to the music department of University of Missouri at Kansas City, United States of America, where he will study further and pursue a career of a musician.
Outstanding Alumni Chomchat Silarat (Palmy) 20-year-old Chomchat Silarat, a native of Bangkok, Thailand, is one of the most prominent pianists in her country. Beginning her piano studying at the age of four, five years later she started to participate in various competitions both nationally and internationally. With abilities to play the piano, violin and to sing, she received a music scholarship from Shrewsbury International School Bangkok. Through highly selective audition, Chomchat was awarded a full scholarship for undergraduate study from Jacobs school of music, Indiana university where she is a senior, pursuing a degree in piano performance under the studio of Arnaldo Cohen. Chomchat maintained a GPA of 3.9 throughout her study at the university, she always find a good balance between practicing and studying. Chomchat has always been a very responsible student, she is usually chosen to take care of delicate works by many university professors, she also work as an accompanist of strong studios such as Thomas Robertello (Flute), Eric Kim (Cello) and Masumi Rostad (Viola-Pacifica Quartet) Chomchat won numerous awards from national and international competitions. Her first solo recital in Bangkok was in 2010 which established her national reputation. In 2011, she won the 7th Silpakorn Summer Music School concerto competition, which resulted in her first debut performance with the orchestra performing Mozart Piano Concerto in A major K.488 under the Baton of Maestro Hikotaro Yazaki. Chomchat won First Prize from The 5th Beethoven Competition in Thailand which lead to her debut solo recital in Bonn, Germany. In that same year, she also won The Conrad Young Musician of Thailand Competition 2011 and received the Royal Trophy Award of His Majesty King of Thailand along with the awarded trip to attend master class course at Yong Siew Toh conservatory in Singapore. Chomchat was a Gold prize winner in Singapore for the Regional round and a special prize winner in Hongkong for the Final round from The 5th Asian Youth Music Competition 2011. In February 2012, she was a Third prize winner of The American ProtĂŠgĂŠ International Piano and Strings Competition resulting in her Carnegie Hall debut in New York, USA in March 2012. Other than performing extensively, Chomchat has participated in master classes and worked with many world-renowned pianists such as Jerome Lowenthal, Dina Yoffe, Akiko Ebi, Anton Nel, Wu han and Julian Martin. She also participated regularly in prestigious festivals such as Aspen music festival in 2012 and 2014.
Chutikan Chaikittiwatana (Gift) Chutikan Chaikittiwatana is a native of Bangkok, Thailand. She started studying piano at the age of 9 and later became a student of Dr. Pornphan Banternghansa in 2012. Since 2008, she has received a four-year music scholarship at the Shrewsbury International School, Bangkok. Chutikan has participated in numerous music festivals in Asia and Europe, including the YST Master Classes, the Mozarteum Summer International Academy and the Moulin d’Ande Festival organized by Prof. Dina Yoffe. She has taken lessons and played in master classes with prominent artists, including Vadym Kholodenko, Dina Yoffee, Rolf Plagge, Tian Ying, Martin Widmaier, Albert Tiu, Thomas Hecht and Vanessa Latarche. During the fall 2015, Chutikan took a semester to study abroad in Vienna with the IES Vienna Music Program. She took chamber coaching with Dr. Carolyn Hague from the Konservatorium Wien Imoversotu and private piano lessons with Prof. Christopher Hinterhuber from The University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna. Chutikan currently graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Ithaca College under the tutelage of Dr. Jennifer Hayghe and Dr. Dimitri Nodgorodsky. She will be pursuing a Master of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at Northwestern University Bienen School of Music with scholarship under the tutelage of Dr. Sylvia Wang this coming fall.
Boonyakorn Opaspanwong (O) A native of Bangkok,Thailand, Boonyakorn is currently pursuing a bachelor of music degree at University of Missouri Kansas-City, where he is studying with Robert Weirich. His excellence in musical skills brought him financial support by Bently & Knight Piano Scholarship and John J. Strandberg Scholarship. Boonyakorn began studying piano at age of 13 with Mr. Wanchana Sompakdee. After finishing his high school study at the Young Artist Program (Pre-college) at Mahidol University where he received a merit scholarship, he became a student of Dr. Pornpan Bantenghansa. Boonyakorn also studied extensively with Stanislav Ioudenitch, a Gold medal winner of the 2001 Van Cliburn competition.
