Ruairi, a sophomore, is thrilled to be a part of The Outsiders. He began his involvement with the players in The Addams Family and most recently Into the Woods. He is grateful for all of the support that has been offered to him.

Dom is a 16 year old actor, voice actor, and musician. He has been doing theatrical productions since middle school with his first large play being Puck in A Midsummer Nights Dream. He has also played The Wolf/Cinderella’s Prince in Into the Woods as well Mike in Chorus Line. He cannot wait to continue his work with the Chaminade Players program.

Justin, a junior, began his Chaminade Players journey in his sophomore year. He is thrilled to be part of The Outsiders, and could not have asked for a better cast and crew to be part of it. She began with Peter and The Starcatcher and then got the chance to be Milky White in the recent Into the Woods production. Madeleine, a senior, is ecstatic to join this amazing cast for her first involvement in a play! She is a soccer player for Chaminade High School and has recently found a passion for the arts. Sasha is a senior in her seventh show as a Chaminade Player. Prior to coming to Chaminade Sasha performed with Village Arts Theatre in 14 shows. He comes from a long line of Broadway actors, being the great grandson of Gene Nelson. After a rough 90 years of waiting tables, Ray is ecstatic to finally get his big break.

Helen is in The Outsiders and is so grateful for this opportunity. Last year, she played Broadcast Official in By The Skin of Our Teeth and Mrs. White in Clue. She is so excited to have spent this fall working on this show and is so proud of it.

Matthew Grossman as Ensemble/Understudy Matthew, a senior, is very happy to participate in the fall play, The Outsiders. He has worked on crew on carpentry during Mama Mia and The Skin of our Teeth and was in the cast of Into the Woods and the summer musical Grease. He is very glad that he has the opportunity to work with amazing people in this wonderful program.

Trajan Mcglothlin Trajan a 3rd grader from Valley Charter Elementary is so excited to be joining the cast and crew of The Outsiders! He enjoys acting, playing baseball, and wrestling with his brother Reli.

WHO'S WHO Jimmy Bobillo Jimmy, an 8th grader at St. Mel's is very excited to be in the show! He was previously Michael Banks in Mary Poppins and he is currently in Matilda as Bruce. He is the brother of Ray Bobillo '24.

Gus Guerra Gus, is a kindergartener at St. Mel's. He loves playing baseball, playing nintendo and especially playing as Mario. He wants to shout out his mom.

Leah Morgan Leah, a 4th grader at Faith Baptist is excited to participate in her first show ever! She enjoys playing soccer, basketball, 4 square, and video games. She wants to thank her sister Mia '27, Ms. Bishop, her family, and Sumi.

Luke Borchart Luke, youngest child of alumni Scott Borchart ‘01, is thrilled to be in this year’s production of The Outsiders. The audience may be surprised to hear that this is his acting debut. He has been on stage previously in his second grade ballet folklorico performance. Luke thanks his parents and brother for encouraging him to try something new.

CREW WHO'S WHO Cadence Cirlin (Stage Manager and Student Technical Director) Cadence Cirlin, a junior, is ecstatic to be participating in her sixth show with the Players. This will also be her first show as a student technical director and carpentry head, as well as her fourth on the stage management team. She would like to thank her friends, family, and fellow Players for their support and love.

Lara Aline Kim (Stage Manager) Lara is extremely ecstatic to work as the production stage manager on The Outsiders. Now a senior, she has been working in the Players as crew for three years now. she would like to thank her family and the rest of the Players for their support.

Ayden Marcus (Assistant Stage Manager) Ayden, a junior, is incredibly excited to join this amazing cast and crew as an assistant stage manager and co-head of Carpentry for The Outsiders this year. He is very grateful for the great times he has been able to experience and would like to thank his family, friends, and fellow Chaminade Players.

Brooklyn Niece (Assistant Stage Manager) Brooklyn, a Sophomore, is thrilled be working on her fourth show with the Chaminade Players, and her second show as an Assistant Stage Manager and Assistant Carpentry head. She is grateful for the support her friends, family, and the Players have shown her.

Emmy Griffiths (Student Technical Director) Emmy is so excited o be a part of The Outsiders! She first began her journey with the players in electrics and hair and makeup crew for Peter and The Starcatcher, and has been in the crews ever since. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

END NOTES Dear Patron of the Arts, Do you remember the first time you read THE OUTSIDERS? Was it in middle school? High School? Did you see the movie version directed by Francis Ford Coppola? Did you even have any idea this book was adapted into a play? I read the book a million years ago and watched the film just about as long ago and remember being caught up in the story of Ponyboy Curtis, his brothers, and his friends, Dallas, Cherry, as well as the struggle between the socs and the greasers. I recall thinking it’s amazing how this story resonates with so many and how many people have said to me, “I love that book!” I have been asked why this play and why now. My response: empathy. Now, more than ever. We need to understand that we need to stop fighting each other, we need to stop being in competition, thinking one side is better than another, and see that we are all human beings and all share similarities. We need to look out for each other. Every life matters. As Ponyboy tells Cherry, “Can you see the sunset real good from your side of town? …You can see it good from our side, too.” These characters are at their best when they are looking out for each other and other human beings, no matter how much of a struggle life can be… aren’t we all? The Chaminade Players are at their best because we work as a team, as a family. Our creatives are exceptional, and I could not be more thankful for each and every one. Our cast has been a joy to work with and each stellar crew has it’s own individual style—we all come together to create a brilliant piece of theatre. Our parent leadership is supreme, and we continue to welcome new parents into the fold! It is a blessing to create theatre with our awesome Players and have the facility that we have here at Chaminade and for that we are grateful, as well.
