At 09:52, 30th March 2013 I want to be an interior designer.

At 10:08, 28th April 2013 Site script Vs. User script

Interior design would be similar to Lighting design, which is create based on a foundation in some way but directly interact with the users.

Site script is more emphasis on rational analysis, to understanding the history of the base, with a systematic analysis and collect the data related to it. This part is very important because it partially determines the basis of creation, the material of been re-shaped. User script will focus on the story of user that is from the traits, preferences, experience, personality and other emotional part. This part would be the soul of the design which is the most difficult part to form.

Snow This is the first time that I saw the whole city was covered by snow and the structure of it bring out the particular interest. The weight of itself makes some of them into ice and it also recorded history of activity in particular period. The animals and humans have to develop a pattern of behavior to deal with it. Also, it is a great challenge that takes snow as part of design.

Airbnb Airbnb is such a perfect way to experience and understand the mode of living in certain culture condition, which allow you to stay, sleep, dinner in the space that if you choose to roll up in hotel can never feel. Unless living the way of people did in Berlin I would never understand why even bathroom need heater.

Expression These delicate sketches were picked up from old book store. The owner collected these loosen pages from books falling apart. From these, I realize the magic of the picture, sketch or a diagram can really communicate a vision with a hundred words and somehow since then I pick up my pen and start to draw again.

Layers of traffic Even though I saw it personally, it is still hard to believe that a few purely different traffic systems can cooperate with each other in this amazing way. The clear goal to achieve of every tool makes everything reasonable and work smoothly. It also reminds me that things are defined by what it achieves rather than the way it looks. Kinderdijk- Live with water Walking on the road that was actually surrounded by water is the start of I having a real connection to this place. In here, a feeling keeps returning me that everything is connected together.

System Although I only stay a few hours there I try my best to understand how people live there and how this windmill brings all the power they need to survive. Every single tool and hut is so interesting.

Amsterdam/ Rotterdam 23

Continuous motion The Continuous motion of windmill lingers in my head. What if there is a gallery we can actually visualize the wind and make the movement of the air become part of the space insulation or even influence the behavior of visitors.

Still the way Not only the traditional building here live near cannel, a few miles apart from the windmill area, people live in modern structure maintain the relationship with the water. An imagining gallery that was powered by wing

I cannot imagine how I happy I will be if I spent most of my childhood in the yard next to a cannel.

I didn't know why I'm so fascinate about the network or the connection between two things maybe it did remind me that human is still part of nature and be part of something is important to me.

Venince/Rome 31

Venice Once something emphasize too much or repeat over and over seems to lose its initial value. For me, Venice is like somebody saying “I'm so comfortable right now. When you feel really relaxed and comfortable you won't say. Venice has this kind of thirst that hope everybody watching her. It's beautiful but less inspirational.

Decoration Although the Gondola makes me feel like taxis in London, it looks all the uniform, its shape and decorations are still elegant. Next time, when I can afford it I will take one and observe it carefully of the material combination. Venince/Rome 35

Venince/Rome 36

Colosseo It was really a huge impact when I first walk into here. The intricate layers of floor and structure making it hard to get the whole picture of the building but when I start trying to draw the section and figure out how the stair connect different floors I can really feel the ambition and the way of architect think. The scale of activity and the people that this place can accommodate is really amazing.

Venince/Rome 37

Balcony Due to the weather conditions, generally every building in Rome have balcony. It is particularly interesting corner for me which represent how the user want to interact with outside world and how the whole space negotiated the air and light.

Venince/Rome 38

The imagining of a semi-outdoor space for teatime The sight from outside would be blocked by the wall of lianas.

Sound of the road The first thing that drew my attention when I arrived Rome is whenever the car drive over the road the tie will create a hollow sound because the height different among every stone cube. The whole process brings me to focus on how this city was built and how the details of components stack into a majestic unit. Venince/Rome 41

Light From Pantheon and the Vatican Museum I experience the intention of capture light and how light can change the atmosphere of a space. Due to coming from a background of Lighting Design in theatre the delicate difference of texture and color in light always catch my attention.

After move to a new place at 7th May 2016 I meet a challenge in my room. From this moving I got a lower rent, better sunlight, better view and saving time to school but I got 24 hours noise as return and loss of things that I didn't realize at first- security. After move my wardrobe from A to B, to C I finally found the familiarity. The wardrobe blocks the sight from outside and creative a corner of property security.

Visualization In a coincidence, I found the method that really helps me to think and concentrate– pining up. Drawing when I think, especially when I try to understand, and pin up the elements, sketch, picture on the wall are the two important discoveries in this year and I will keep doing that. For me, design is a process of visualizing.

Neighbor I started self-research project at 18th April 2016 because I really like the way of exploring when I travel. In order to duplicate the experience in the place I live, Highbury & Islington I will try to go in different direction when I jogging in the morning and collect the place inspire me then record on this map.

Netherland The function and the exterior of these two building remind me the building near the cannel in Netherland. The structure that sticks out from the facade is for lifting cargo and the entrance of the first floor also exist in some reason.

The artist backyard It is a interspace between two buildings. Although the pots in it needs to be pruned having a backyard belong to yourself is still a luxurious thing in London. Creating a personal world should be a universal dream which might be a key element in every residential project.

A plan of refurbishment, trying to turn the yard into an indoor space for reading and tea time with great illumination and connection to the nature Highbury & Islington 51

Natural cover It might be due to personal preference I think plant can fix most of the problem and part of the reason may come from the organic shape of its really soft the pressure from modern building material. Taking this apartment for example, it will be dead if there is no plants around this building but now the obsolete concrete really match these pieces of green.
