Monthly Report for August Dear friends and donors, Charity organization Serbs for Serbs registered in the state of Illinois in United States in Jun 2010 by the group of the Serbian youth. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is a 501(c)(3) notfor-profit profit charitable organization. Donation is tax-deductible deductible to the extent followed by the law. On 30th September, 2011 we finally nally got the letter from department of the treasury (IRS) S) with tax exempt 501(c)3 approval. All donations to our organization donated from June 16, 2010 are tax deductible under section 170 of the Code. We are also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers of gifts under section 2055, 21 2106 or 2522 of the Code.
About Us The mission of Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is to affect on consciousness of Americans, Serbs and their friends through planned projects, social and humanitarian activities in order to develop and foster better society for future generations and provide aid for underprivileged families in need. Although there are many humanitarian organizations and associations, help often doesn't reach the most jeopardized. Due to unnecessary administration, missing informationn and slow decision making, the delivery of aid arrives too late to the final consumers, or not at all. It is a sad and embarrassing, but true fact that more than 18.000 children daily die around the world because of starvation and malnutrition. ion. There, amo among us, the blind and deaf. We are witnesses of the bad demographic situation of our nation, decreasing natality, increasing number of singles, abortions, accelerated aging of
www.serbsforserbs.org 2013 the population and generally bad economic condition of the households in Serbia, Republic of Srpska and other countries in the Balkan. An average couple has "fallen" on one child. Analysts warn that Serbs will become a minority in its own country in the following century if the nation, individuals and government don't wake up from thee nescient in which they've fallen! On the other hand, nobody is talking about the families with many children which grieve by living in bitter poverty. Occupied by their everyday struggle for survival, they are being humbly in their desire for implementing ng rights which belong to them. Their life stories, fears and problems are identical, but almost invisible and unheard in order to gain the attention of the public, media and even state. That's why the idea of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs arose. The organization rganization was formed by a group of young and trustful people, who are united by the common vision of helping families blessed by many children and who are aware of the fact that even a small help means a lot for those who don't live in a material excess. We are united by the humane idea to help the poorest part of the Serbian nation. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs try to revive the spiritless energy of the Serbian Diaspora which would be able to reinforce people of Serbian heritage as well as all good people throughout the world with minimal, but bu constant monthly donations. We hope and believe that there is also a grain of doing good and that you will join us in the endless e struggle against poverty. God bless and save all Serbian families with many children and our honored donors who participate in the noble effort to return smile on children faces.
CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE!

Why Serbs for Serbs? We wanted to alleviate impaired spirit of Serbian people in togetherness and brotherhood help through humanitarian work and social aid. Who do we help? We help Serbian families who live in the Balkans, have five or more children and live in terrible poverty. Under terrible poverty we define absence of one or more basic factors required for living: food, clothes, shoes, and safe space for living. Why do we help? We believe that there is a basic need for one human (or a group) to help others in distress. A help is not only human virtue but also a Christian responsibility. By focusing our help on families with many children, we directly affect on their stirring toward becoming independent from socialdependable government programs. What are our long term goals? • family is ready to support itself daily and manage to pay all required expenses; • their children are encouraged to continue with school and raising their own family; • our donors are satisfied with the activities and they are ready to help other families; • our organization is satisfied with the results; • family is ready in the future to become our donor and if necessary help other families that are in need of help. Who do we need in organization? We need members and donors that will secure financial stability through supporting our programs and activities in the future. Donors may join our daily activities within the organization in order to coordinate our work better. We also need volunteers ready to donate several hours per week

TOYS AND CLOTHES FOR TWO FAMILIES
The children were excited by our visit and the mothers were very appreciative of the donations delivered to their families.
Mother Mira Marjanovic with her children On July 23, representatives of the Republic of Srpska and Switzerland branches of Serbs for Serbs, visited the village of Petrovo, near Prijedor. The goal of the visit was to donate items to the Marjanovic family ( 10 children ) and the Zdjelar family ( 5 children ). We delivered gently-used clothing, footwear and toys, donated by Serbs from Switzerland. Candies, juices and fruit were also given to the families.

SERBS FOR SERBS FUNDRAISER „ZAJEDNO ZA ANTICE“
In the midst of summer travel season, the Serbs for Serbs branch in Chicago felt we couldn’t wait any longer and needed to continue to work towards the new home for the Antic family from Drenovac, Serbia.
Many were moved to tears when hearing the stories of the families and children we help and they promised to continue to support our efforts. So, in addition to getting 2,645 steps closer to a new home for the Antic family before this winter, we also gained many new friends and donors who will help our organization grow.
So this past Saturday we organized another SFS Charity Fundraiser at Revolver Bar, Chicago. Even though most of our regular donors are out of town, we were amazed at the response and turn out we had for this event. In all, we were able to raise a total of $2,645 towards the purchase of a new home for the Antic’s.
Thank you so much to everyone who was able to join us on Saturday at Revolver. Without your support, we wouldn’t be able to help so many families.
Thanks to our friends Trezor Grupa, the atmosphere for everyone in attendance was amazing. Everyone was able to enjoy good music and learn more about the work our charity organization does. We tried to speak with everyone in attendance to make sure they realized how much their support means to our work.
Together we can return big smiles to our Serbian children across the Balkans!

THE ANTIC FAMILY SOON IN THEIR NEW HOME
Later, in the nearby village of Vlase, we met 15-year old Aleksandar Antic, who has the responsibility of caring for his family. Novica Cvetkovic and Dusan Djordjevic, huge supporters of this fundraising initiative were also there, along with the current owner of the house, Bosko Ljubic. We inspected the house and were satisfied with its condition. In addition to the large, main house, there is also a smaller house, and several structures to house cattle and machinery.
On Sunday, August 4, representatives of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs, from Belgrade and Nis, travelled to Golemo Selo, near Vranje. With 2.000 EUR in hand, we arrived to make a down payment on a house for the Antic family. Aleksandar Jakovljevic, vicepresident of the Serbian Students Abroad Organization, joined us as well.
Once our inspection of the home was completed, Bosko treated us to lunch. We handed him the down payment, and agreed upon a payment plan for the outstanding 13.000 EUR. By the end of the month, the Antics will be able to move into their new home. The purchase of a home for the Antic family is a big fundraising project for Serbs for Serbs, but the dire living conditions of this family could not be ignored. We need your help to see this project to its completion and to ensure the Antic's living standards are suitable for the 21st. century.

GREAT SUCCESS AT LESKOVACKA ROSTILJIJADA
As the Summer draws to a close, we look to the coming Fall and realize it is time to start thinking about Winter. That is why, this weekend, the Chicago branch of Serbs for Serbs, upon the invitation of host Mr. Bosko Jovanovic, attended the Leskovacka Rostiljada in Chicago. This was another opportunity to collect donations for the Antic family to make sure they can move into their new home before winter comes. With every weekend, we are getting closer to Winter as well as closer to our goal of 20,000 euro’s for the new Antic family home. Now we are $1,500 closer!!
This was our first time attending the Leskovacka Rostiljada, which is now in it's 3rd year. Mr. Bosko Jovanovic, who is a good friend of Serbs for Serbs, wanted us to be at the event for all three days and make sure more people got to know the work of our charity organization. Throughout the weekend, he even personally walked people over to our booth to introduce us.
It was wonderful meeting many new people and making many new friends for our organization. Many visitors to our booth were deeply moved by the work we do and the people we help. Many stories were shared and much support was given. In all, we were able to raised $1,500 for the Antic family and their new home!
One of the nicest things that we were able to achieve this weekend, in addition to all the donations we received, was all of the new friends and supporters we gained for our organization. The only way we can grow is for more people to get involved. And that is exactly what we gained this weekend. So once again, thank you to all of the guests and donors this weekend, and a special thank you to Mr. Bosko Jovanovic for inviting us to be a part of their festival.
