Monthly Report for March Dear friends and donors, Charity organization Serbs for Serbs registered in the state of Illinois in United States in Jun 2010 by the group of the Serbian youth. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is a 501(c)(3) notfor-profit profit charitable organization. Donation is tax-deductible deductible to the extent followed by the law. On 30th September, 2011 we finally nally got the letter from department of the treasury (IRS) with tax exempt 501(c)3 approval. All donations to our organization donated from June 16, 2010 are tax deductible under section 170 of the Code. We are also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers of gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code.

About Us The mission of Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is to affect on consciousness of Americans, Serbs and their friends through planned projects, social and humanitarian activities in order to develop and foster better society for future generations and provide aid for underprivileged families in need. Although there are many humanitarian organizations and associations, help often doesn't reach the most jeopardized. Due too unnecessary administration, missing information and slow decision making, the delivery of aid arrives too late to the final consumers, or not at all. It is a sad and embarrassing, but true fact that more than 18.000 children daily die around the world because of starvation and malnutrition. ion. There, among us, the blind and deaf. We are witnesses of the bad demographic situation of our nation, ion, decreasing natality, increasing number of singles, abortions, accelerated aging of

www.serbsforserbs.org 2013 the population and generally bad economic condition of the households in Serbia, Republic of Srpska and other countries in the Balkan. An average couple has "fallen" on one child. Analysts warn that Serbs will become a minority in its own country in the following century if the nation, individuals and government don't wake up from the nescient in which they've fallen! On the other hand, nobody is talking about the families milies with many children which grieve by living in bitter poverty. Occupied by their everyday struggle for survival, they are being humbly in their desire for implementing rights which belong to them. Their life stories, fears and problems are identical, but almost invisible and unheard in order to gain the attention of the public, media and even state. That's why the idea of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs arose. The organization rganization was formed by a group of young and trustful people, who are united by the common vision of helping families blessed by many children and who are aware of the fact that even a small help means a lot for those who don't live in a material excess. We are united by the humane idea to help the poorest part of the Serbian nation. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs try to revive the spiritless energy of the Serbian Diaspora which would be able to reinforce people of Serbian heritage as well as all good people throughout the world with minimal, but bu constant monthly donations. We hope and believe that there is also a grain of doing good and that you will join us in the endless e struggle against poverty. God bless and save all Serbian families with many children and our honored donors who participate in the noble effort to return smile on children faces.

Monthly Report for March Ambitions

Our mission The mission of Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is to affect on consciousness of Serbian people through our projects and humanitarian activities, in order to develop better society for future generations. Why Serbs for Serbs? We wanted to alleviate impaired spirit of Serbian people in togetherness and brotherhood help through humanitarian work and social aid. Who do we help? We help Serbian families who live in the Balkans, have five or more children and live in terrible poverty. Under terrible poverty we define absence of one or more basic factors required for living: food, clothes, shoes, and safe space for living. Why do we help? We believe that there is a basic need for one human (or a group) to help others in distress. A help is not only human virtue but also a Christian responsibility. By focusing our help on families with many children, we directly affect on their stirring toward becoming independent from socialdependable government programs. Indirectly, we want to affect on birth rate of Serbian people that has been in great decline in last 20 years. What are our long term goals? • family is ready to support itself daily and manage to pay all required expenses and bills; • their children are encouraged to continue with school and raising their own family; • our donors are satisfied with the activities and they are ready to help other families; • our organization is satisfied with the results; • family is ready in the future to become our donor and if necessary help other families that are in need of help.

www.serbsforserbs.org 2013 Who do we need in organization? We need members and donors that will secure financial stability through supporting our programs and activities in the future. Donors may join our daily activities within the organization in order to coordinate our work better. We also need volunteers ready to donate several hours per week for actual work within the organization. Activities of volunteers and their specific tasks would be determined by the required projects and their personal interest. From that group of volunteers we would look for future leaders of organization.

TWO FAMILIES WITH 19 CHILDREN

A four-member team of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs from Belgrade visited on the last days of February two families: Gojković from the village Dudovice near Lazarevac, with 13 members, and Kuzmanović from the village Mirosaljci near Arilje with ten members in their household.

During this and the next year, they plan to expand their home, and they have already received construction blocks, but they need the rest of the material: • Gravel (20 m3) • Cement (100 sacks) • Calx (30 sacks) • Other necessities for the house.

The family have everything they need in the house, but a cow or a goat would be more than welcome.

Family Gojković consists of: father Zoran, mother Mladenka and the children: Maja (26, married), Stefan (19), Jovan (17), Nikola (15), Jovana (11), Mihajlo (9), Milica (8), Milan (6), Dimitrije (4), Aleksandar (3) and Dušan (2). Father Zoran is working, while mother Mladenka takes care of the children and family. They have a goat and a pig, and Mladenka takes care of them as well. They also have a greenhouse, build 3 years ago to fulfill their needs for vegetables during the year. The family has no family income, so their only income is Zoran’s salary. They used to live for 17 years in a rented place, and 4 years ago they bought a house in the village Dudovica (near Lazarevac).

The family left quite an impression on us, especially mother Mladenka, who is doing a great job taking care of the family, who are disciplined like a military unit. She was very thankful for our visit.

The other family we visited was the family Kuzmanović from Mirosaljci near Arilje. Father Milija and mother Slavica Kuzmanović have eight children: Milica (14), Milan (12), ðorñe (11), Dejan (8), Dragica (5), ðurñina (4), Jelena (3) and Nikola, who is two months old.

www.serbsforserbs.org 2013

The parents also told us that many people visited them so far, and that all of them promised help, but that they have no expectations.

Our organization will try that the visit to this family doesn’t end on empty promises.

The father lost his job, and now they are only doing an agriculture. They have a child benefit in the amount of 9.800 dinars. They also have a cow, several pigs and hens. They are not able to grow more animals, because they wouldn’t have enough food for them, while insufficient amount of water prevents them from building a greenhouse. The youngest members of the family are of excellent health, and well-behaved. Their only desire is the computer, which they could all use.

Monthly Report for March JOY OF CHILDREN IN „SERBIA“ ON PALE

www.serbsforserbs.org 2013 We organized an action for 30 socially endangered children in the elementary school „Serbia“ on Pale.

Several months ago I participated in a seminar which dealt with the spiritual growth of a child. Therefore we came to an idea that us, the teachers, apart from the parents, can be most influential upon the development of the personality. In the conversation with the representatives of the organization World Vision from Sarajevo, I came to an idea to present the work of our organization through the realized projects, and encourage them to cooperation.

Thanks to the organizations Serbs for Serbs and World Vision, a total of 50 children from 5 to 13 years from the municipality Pale were gathered. On this occasion we were relying to the festivities of Christmas and St. Sava, which always brings joy in the hearts of children.

It commenced on February 1 around 11, by making greeting cards, and writing of desires of those little ones, who were thrilled to do that.

Thus I offered participation and realization of the project in which we could gather the children from large and socially endangered families with children who have good conditions, and special children with normal needs (children with special needs, as some people call them), and show how it can all look like together „when the brothers are united“, as the psalmist says.

We continued the socialization by making the cave of Bethlehem, and decorating the room. It was ended in a lobby of the school. We surprised them by making the show. With songs and dancing we delivered gift packages to all the socially endangered children who were present, 30 of them.

All the desired written on the greeting cards were tied to the balloons, and sent up in the sky, with the hope that there is someone above the clouds who can hear all our needs and give the comfort and answer to them.

www.serbsforserbs.org 2013

We owe the thanks to the principal and the personnel of the school, who couldn’t hide their enthusiasm for witnessing this great event, taking place in our facility with the most beautiful name. We are ready to continue this Godly work, and we thank for cooperation to the representatives of the organization World Vision and all the people of good will, in the hope that each day might be a joy in the hearts of every child, so God help us.

The value of the action was 1.000 KM, of which we paid 75 KM for the balloons, because it made incredible joy and brought smiles of those little angels, and woken the hope in them. Our aim was to show that the holidays can be happy for everyone.

SFS with family Žunić

At the end of the visit, the members of the organization donated footwear for the youngest members of the family in the amount of 17.930 dinars, and we will also try to get them a cow.

On Friday, March 22, members and friends of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs from Belgrade visited and helped four families: Marjanović from Gornji Milanovac (seven children), Ristanović from Prijevor near Čačak (three children), Žunić from Čačak (ten children) and Lazarević near Lazarevac (four children). During the visit we delivered groceries, clothing and footwear.

SFS with family Marjanović During the visit to the ten-member family Marjanović from Gornji Milanovac, we encountered the father of the family, Saša Marjanović with his daughter Kristina (10 years). Due to cerebral palsy, Kristina can’t go to regular school, so her parents are trying to organize her education and free time. Apart from her difficult life, Kristina was kind enough to recite her newest poem. We found out that her staying in Banja Koviljača is very important for her treatment. Saša told us that he is in the

Family Žunić from the village Viljuša near Čačak has a more severe situation. After the first visit, we provided motocultivator (209.000 dinars) and a water pump (54.095 din.). We also provided a new water heater (5.000 din.), which needs to be installed. The next should be a washing machine, because mother Slavica is washing the laundry for a eleven-member family on her own. The children are, despite the circumstances, happy and optimistic. A 13-year old Rade showed his newest paintings. Slavica, who is a mother of eleven children, received an award Dove of Love, as a recognition for humanity, love and the promotion of marriage. At the end of the visit, we delivered groceries to the family.

SFS ACTIVE ON FLORIDA After visiting family Žunić, the representatives of the organization went to the village Prijevor, also near Čačak, where they delivered help in the amount of 80.000 dinars to family Ristanović for a cow. The money was provided by a group of people from Chicago (originating from Dragačevac), to whom we thank in the name of the family.

SFS with family Lazarević The last family we visited was family Lazarević near Lazarevac. The youngest members of the family are Stefan (16), Ivana (12), Dusan (7) and Christine (3). The family has an accommodation problem. The house was sealed by the municipality authorities, because of the fear it might collapse. Father of the family, Saša Lazarević, explained that the problem emerged after a neighbor finished his house, reclining on Saša’s.

Representatives of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs, Vuk from Drina and Nedjeljko Poljčić, continue their activity in Florida by promoting the organization, collecting donations and selling T-shirts. During March they sold 30 T-shirts and earned $600. The action continues during April on other areas of the southern USA inhabited by Serbs.

They are considering an option of selling the existing house and buying a new one. A six-member family Lazarević is currently living in a rented apartment. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs www.serbsforserbs.org PO Box 34206, Chicago, IL 60634 Phone: +1-312-85-SERBS
