Monthly Report for June Dear friends and donors, Charity organization Serbs for Serbs registered in the state of Illinois in United States in Jun 2010 by the group of the Serbian youth. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is a 501(c)(3) notfor-profit charitable organization. Donation is tax-deductible to the extent followed by the law. On 30th September, 2011 we finally got the letter from department of the treasury (IRS) with tax exempt 501(c)3 approval. All donations to our organization donated from June 16, 2010 are tax deductible under section 170 of the Code. We are also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers of gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code.
About Us The mission of Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is to affect on consciousness of Americans, Serbs and their friends through planned projects, social and humanitarian activities in order to develop and foster better society for future generations and provide aid for underprivileged families in need. Although there are many humanitarian organizations and associations, help often doesn't reach the most jeopardized. Due to unnecessary administration, missing information and slow decision making, the delivery of aid arrives too late to the final consumers, or not at all. It is a sad and embarrassing, but true fact that more than 18.000 children daily die around the world because of starvation and malnutrition. There, among us, the blind and deaf. We are witnesses of the bad demographic situation of our nation, decreasing natality, increasing number of singles, abortions, accelerated aging of
www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 the population and generally bad economic condition of the households in Serbia, Republic of Srpska and other countries in the Balkan. An average couple has "fallen" on one child. Analysts warn that Serbs will become a minority in its own country in the following century if the nation, individuals and government don't wake up from the nescient in which they've fallen! On the other hand, nobody is talking about the families with many children which grieve by living in bitter poverty. Occupied by their everyday struggle for survival, they are being humbly in their desire for implementing rights which belong to them. Their life stories, fears and problems are identical, but almost invisible and unheard in order to gain the attention of the public, media and even state. That's why the idea of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs arose. The organization was formed by a group of young and trustful people, who are united by the common vision of helping families blessed by many children and who are aware of the fact that even a small help means a lot for those who don't live in a material excess. We are united by the humane idea to help the poorest part of the Serbian nation. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs try to revive the spiritless energy of the Serbian Diaspora which would be able to reinforce people of Serbian heritage as well as all good people throughout the world with minimal, but constant monthly donations. We hope and believe that there is also a grain of doing good and that you will join us in the endless struggle against poverty. God bless and save all Serbian families with many children and our honored donors who participate in the noble effort to return smile on children faces.

Monthly Report for June Ambitions
Our mission The mission of Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is to affect on consciousness of Serbian people through our projects and humanitarian activities, in order to develop better society for future generations. Why Serbs for Serbs? We wanted to alleviate impaired spirit of Serbian people in togetherness and brotherhood help through humanitarian work and social aid. Who do we help? We help Serbian families who live in the Balkans, have five or more children and live in terrible poverty. Under terrible poverty we define absence of one or more basic factors required for living: food, clothes, shoes, and safe space for living.
www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 Who do we need in organization? We need members and donors that will secure financial stability through supporting our programs and activities in the future. Donors may join our daily activities within the organization in order to coordinate our work better. We also need volunteers ready to donate several hours per week for actual work within the organization. Activities of volunteers and their specific tasks would be determined by the required projects and their personal interest. From that group of volunteers we would look for future leaders of organization.
How to donate? 1. PayPal donation: szsamerika@gmail.com 2. Direct Deposit to Wells Fargo Bank account Please email us at: szsamerika@gmail.com 3. You can mail personal or business check to: Serbs for Serbs PO Box 34206, Chicago, IL 60634 4. Donation boxes: BEOGRAD CAFÉ 2937 West Irving Park Road Chicago, Illinois Owner: Dule Pavlovic
Why do we help? We believe that there is a basic need for one human (or a group) to help others in distress. A help is not only human virtue but also a Christian responsibility. By focusing our help on families with many children, we directly affect on their stirring toward becoming independent from socialdependable government programs.

What are our long term goals? • family is ready to support itself daily and manage to pay all required expenses; • their children are encouraged to continue with school and raising their own family; • our donors are satisfied with the activities and they are ready to help other families; • our organization is satisfied with the results; • family is ready in the future to become our donor and if necessary help other families that are in need of help.

The Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is informing the donors from all over the world that during May it finished big project of renovating the house for family Stojkovic from the village of Izvor, Novo Brdo municipality on Kosovo and Metohija. We managed to accomplish the set goal with the help of donors throughout the world, and with faith in God and fraternity.
Jagos and Danijela are raising two sons, Andrija (4) and Luka (2) and the help they received in 2014 only revealed the amount of problems they have and have to struggle against. In cooperation with our branch Serbs for Serbs Canada which started a campaign under the name “In Time for Bozic 2016”, the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs started a project of help to family Stojkovic. Monthly Report for June SFS VISITED FAMILY SAMARDZIC FROM NEVESINJE
www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 Therefore, the family has started the building of the new house so they need carpentry and construction material the most for finishing the building of the new house. The water supply system didn’t arrive in the place where family Samardzic lives, so they obtain water from the cistern. The oldest son is working for the army in Bileca, and the total income including his salary is approximately 430 EUR. They are paying monthly installments of 80 EUR for a loan which they took for buying part of the construction material. They have no additional help.
During May, representatives of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs visited the five-member family Samardzic from the village of Postoljani near Nevesinje in the Republic of Srpska. The members of the Samardzic family are single mother Zeljka, her sons Boza (25), Ilija (23), Lazar (19) and a daughter Jovana (14). The biggest problem of the family consists in the fact they live in an old, tenement house which is in bad shape from the roof to the earthen floor and doesn’t fulfill elementary conditions for living.
Very bad condition of the kitchen space in the house Mother Zeljka is seriously ill while her husband died of illness. The Samardzic family lives in very bad conditions in the old house without the bathroom. There is no floor either, only soil.

We first visited family Kotaras in which parents Miroslav and Tina live with their children Nikola (10), Nina (8) and Filip (6). To begin with, they plan to grow pigs, and we bought construction material in the amount of 700 EUR for the pigsty.
Family Babic’s flock is richer for another 13 sheep
Construction material for the Maric family In Knin we reached family Maric, consisting of parents Zoran and Gordana and their daughter Sara (12). Great moisture in the house is making the lives of its inhabitants more difficult.
During the second day of our action we visited several families in the area of Zegar. We first reached family Babic. Father Milovan lives with his wife and daughter Milica (3) and a several-months-old baby. For the needs of further cattle breading, sheep breading to be more precise, we provided 13 sheep in the amount of 900 EUR.
The request of family Maric was to help them in providing the construction material for moisture sanation. The material was delivered prior to our arrival, and the value of help was 900 EUR.

Parents Nebojsa and Suzana and children Jelena (17), Milica (16), Lazar and Marija (15) live in the household. The procurement of the machine for engraving, i.e. souvenirs making on special stone plates is underway. The value of the abovementioned machine is 2,700 EUR. Monthly Report for June The next family we have successfully helped was family Subotic from Ervenik. Parents Djordje and Nikolina live with their children Andjela (18), Dusan (14) and Mirjana (10). Due to father Djordje’s employment and children’s school duties, they spend most of their time in a house not far away from Knin. Therefore we provided special stove/cauldron for central heating of the entire house in the amount of 900 EUR.
www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 The last family we helped in Dalmatia was family Mladjen from a distant village near Ervenik. The family consists of parents Slobodan and Jelena and children Snezana (20), Silvana (14) and Sanja (8). It is another hard working family whom we enabled to improve its economic position and provide safer future for their children by their own work.

We delivered a combined refrigerator to family Knezevic We continued our journey to the Oton Polje and the lonely family Knezevic. This family consists of parents Predrag and Branka and their children Kristina (5) and Natalija (2). We tried to improve the difficult conditions in which this family lives by providing a combined refrigerator in the amount of 300 EUR.

We had another opportunity to visit great sanctuaries in Dalmatia such as monastery of St. Nedelja in Ocestovo, monasteries Lazarica and Krka, and one of the oldest churches in Dalmatia, the St. George church in Padjeni. Help to the remaining Serbian people in Krajina, with the emphasis on the Dalmatia area, is of great significance. It is particularly important to help young families and families with greater number of minor children, so that the Serbian people in that area could have the slightest opportunity to survive in the time ahead of us. We are ahead of the continuation of the Easter action of help to the Serbian people throughout Krajina. Therefore we call upon all the people of good will to help according to their possibilities in order to engage soon in delivery of the planed help to our compatriots.

Monthly Report for June SFS HELPED JEFTIC FAMILY FROM VLASENICA
Last weekend, members of the Charity organization Serbs from Serbs Republic of Srpska visited and helped the six-member Jeftic family, living in the village Jeftici, 10 kilometers away from Vlasenica. The family consists of the parents Cvijetin and Dragana, and their four sons: Mitar (15), Slavoljub (13), Zeljko (11), and Marko (8), the youngest. They are currently living as tenants in an old house which belongs to Cvijetin’s brother. They were provided with construction material to the value of 1,168 BAM so that they could continue works on their new house.
The Jeftic family currently lives in two rooms in the house which belongs to Cvijetin’s brother and is in very bad condition, barely suitable for living. Not far from the house where they are currently living, Cvijetin has his own land where he started building a new house and finished one floor, but then he ran out of money and stopped, as the photographs show.
www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 In the meantime, Cvijetin received used windows, and he addressed us to help him by purchasing construction material to pour the slab, because he cannot afford it.
They were supposed to move out, but they did not, because they have nowhere to go. Cvijetin says that his wish is only to pour the slab and install the windows, so they could move, because they have to leave his brother’s house.
Nobody in the Jeftic family is employed, so they have no regular income. Cvijetin works for a daily wage at a nearby sawmill, as some sort of help. The house where they are currently living is barely suitable for living, with two rooms and a bathroom which is not a pleasant sight. Children commute to school for 10 kilometers, sometimes by bus, sometimes by foot, and sometimes they hitch… they manage any way they can.

They go to Primary School in Vlasenica; Mitar and Slavoljub are in the seventh grade, Zeljko in the third, and Marko in the second grade. Mitar missed out two years of education due to health problems. He had several bowel operations, so he is only in the seventh grade.
Zeljko also has health problems, and they receive 80 BAM and diaper package for him. Despite all these problems and lack of money, Cvijetin managed to build one floor (6m x 4.5m) and buy the windows. He lacked the money for the construction material to pour the slab, and the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs provided that. Cvijetin is going to ask a few of his friends to come and help him and his sons to pour the slab and plaster the house. And he will provide material for the roof construction himself, so they will soon be able to move into their new home.
We extend our deep gratitude to big-hearted donors, who have enabled the Jeftic family to start the works. We hope they will soon be able to move into their new house. Charity organization Serbs for Serbs www.serbsforserbs.org PO Box 34206, Chicago, IL 60634 Phone: +1-312-85-SERBS
Monthly Report for June SFS PROVIDED HOUSE FOR FAMILY FROM PALE
www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 They are very hard working, and for years they have been living on daily wages that Snjezana and Radenko earn. The children have also been working for daily wages by picking seasonal fruit, splitting wood or doing other seasonal work. That is how they have overcome numerous troubles.
The family is in possession of 1,300 m2 of land
The life story of the Mandic family from Pale in the Republic of Srpska is a sad one, but we have managed to improve the living conditions for the four children. Aleksandar (18), Aleksandra (17), Jelena (16), and Andjela (6) will be living in a new home from now on. Let us review the sad story of the mother, Snjezana. She had previously been married to Mandic, the father of Aleksandar, Aleksandra, and Jelena, and he had molested and humiliated her, so she worked up the courage and ran away from him, taking the children with her. She moved into her father’s house in Pale. He took them in and adapted the attic for her and her children. Up to the purchase of the new house, the attic was their only refuge.
Not giving up, Snjezana did her best to support her children, and after a while, she started living with Radenko Cosovic, and they have a daughter Andjela.
The family’s perseverance did not go unnoticed, so our members in the Republic of Srpska organized the “Trojka iz Bloka” which was held on September 27, 2015. 1,047 BAM and 30 Euros were raised at the tournament. After the story had been published on our site, our donors joined in, and thanks to their donations, a house to the value of 19,263 BAM was bought near Pale, in a place called Podvitez. Also, the family is in possession of 1,300 m2 of land. It is praiseworthy that they have already plowed part of the field and planted vegetables for their own needs, but also for sale. Thanks to the selfless help, this sad story has a happy ending after all, and we are certain that they will work hard and achieve even better results.
Words cannot describe the gratitude and the smiles on the children’s faces. We hope that this will be a start of a better life for the family and that the children will have a more peaceful and happier life, because they are OUR FUTURE.

The Vucetic family, consisting of parents Aleksandar and Adriana and their five wonderful children – Konstantin (13), Dimitrije (11), Kasijana (8), Elena (3) and the youngest Stefan, who is only a year old, we visited for the first time in early May and agreed to the construction work on the expansion of their living space. Almost half of the funds to help family Vucetic was collected at the “Trojka iz bloka” tournament, which was held in Zemun. The total value of the material and works amounted to 252,350 RSD.
The following works have been done at family Vucetic’s: roof construction and roof tiles replaced, PVC front door placed, the children’s room out of the existing terrace built, two PVC windows placed (in the room and over the front door), electricity in the new room introduced, smoothing layer placed, and laminate and plastering works were finished.

Monthly Report for June SFS AT “PAN-SERBIAN SUMMIT” IN ZURICH
www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 The donation can range from 1 to 99 Francs. We also presented all our activities at a global level to a large number of entrepreneurs from Serbia, Republic of Srpska and Switzerland. All the mentioned entrepreneurs are interested in cooperating with our organization.
For the first time in Switzerland, the Switzerland chapter of Serbs for Serbs charity attended the “PanSerbian summit”, which was held on June 3 and 4, in Dietikon near Zurich. The sponsors of the event were the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, with the blessing of the Serbian Orthodox Church and support of Air Serbia. The Charity organization Serbs for Serbs was present at the fair, to the great joy of regular donors, and also the new ones, who had the opportunity to find out more about the work of the organization. 544 Swiss Francs of donations were raised during the fair.
This was also the opportunity to spread the word about the first sports-charity event, “Trojka iz Bloka”, which Serbs for Serbs organizes in the city of Remount in Switzerland. On the occasion, a number of people suggested holding the “Trojka iz Bloka” in the region of the city of Zurich, in order to attract a large number of our fellow citizens, who live and work in the area. Serbs for Serbs will try to take steps in order to organize the “Trojka iz Bloka” in the region of the city of Zurich in the future period. A new way of making donations through sending SMS was presented at the event in Switzerland. By typing SZS 15 and sending it to 339 you donate 15 Francs to the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs.
After the first Pan-Serbian summit, the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs is looking forward to the next year in order to attend this important event.

On Saturday, June 11, 2016, KUD Drina from Augsburg hosted the “2nd folklore evening of the Drina”. The hall was full of people who came to enjoy the songs and the dances of older and younger folklore dancers. Children performed their choreographies, showing that the Serbian diaspora did not forget their customs and origins. Among those who performed at the event were: KUD “Jugos” and SKU “Rastko” from Munich, SKU “Svilen Konac” from Ingolstadt, SKUD “Mladost” from Rosenheim, KUD “Sveti Sava” and the host KUD “Drina” from Augsburg.
Charity organization Serbs for Serbs also had the honor to attend the event. We were given a spot inside the hall to present our leaflets, flags and a collection box. People were constantly approaching us, wishing to talk to us. There were also familiar faces that we had met at previous events.
Children were a bit intimidated at first, but then they came to us and looked at our stand with all kinds of souvenirs. They devotedly helped us blow balloons and align t-shirts, and in return asked for the balloons to play with them. The atmosphere was great the whole evening, with sincere smiles, kind words and support for our work.
602 Euro of donations were collected that evening. A big thank you to all good people who donated the money that evening, and also the children, who helped us and made our stay memorable! Also, a big thank you to all members of KUD “Drina” for inviting us to this lovely gathering, and making our evening truly wonderful.

“TROJKA IZ BLOKA” HELD IN NEW YORK
On May 21st, 2016, Serbs for Serbs USA made history and started a new tradition. The Charity 3-Point Shooting tournament "Trojka iz bloka" was held for the first time ever in New York City. A huge step forward in helping Serbian families in the Balkans, this tournament represents a wonderful event that merges charity and sports like no other.
The scene for the First Ever “Trojka iz bloka” New York was set in historic Harlem, for some, considered the Shrine of street basketball! Serbs for Serbs New York, joined by SFS members from Chicago and Washington, organized the tournament at the historic basketball courts of St. Nicholas Park. Surrounded by beautiful architecture and curious neighbors, the event was the attraction of the day to say the least! Local neighborhood leaders approached our group to give words of welcome and encouragement. They were very supportive of what we were doing and where the help was going.
The first ever “Trojka iz bloka” in New York had all of the elements of the now well established global tournament. There were old and young competitors, families, athletes, locals and visitors from afar. After 3 rounds, the clear favorites headed into the finals. With quality shooting and suburb accuracy, the winner of the tournament literally came down to the final shot!

Monthly Report for June SFS RAISED 1,5 MILLION EUR IN DONATIONS
At the beginning of June, the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs had raised 1,5 million EUR in donations which was used so far to provide valuable help for 1,600 socially disadvantaged families who have over 11,000 children throughout the Balkan. Since 2005, with the recognizable slogan “Children are our future” the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs has gathered over 10,000 members and donors from Serbia, region and the world who are untiring in visiting and delivering the valuable charity and economic help for the socially disadvantaged families throughout the Balkan, month after month. On Vidovdan 2015, the organization has been awarded with the Order of St. Sava by the Serbian Orthodox Church for its charity work.
www.serbsforserbs.org 2016 Apart from Serbia, the organization is raising donations through its officially registered branches in the Republic of Srpska, Montenegro, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, USA and Canada. On its official website www.srbizasrbe.org the organization is updating the lists of donors daily, publicly presenting the records on its bank accounts of all the branches and placing detailed reports on the families who received help. Also, the organization Serbs for Serbs started a charity SMS number in Serbia, 7763, through which it raised so far over 3 million RSD of valuable help to the socially disadvantaged families. Together with similar organizations, the Serbian Orthodox Church, the media and numerous donors and friends around the world, the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs will continue its valuable charity work for the benefit of the socially disadvantaged families and their children throughout the Balkan. …………………………………………………………...
13 MILLION VISITS ON SFS WEBSITE
Precisely thanks to the numerous donors from around the world, a great number of families today live in their warm homes, the children are sleeping in new beds, they prepare food from their farms and greenhouses on the new stoves, they have bathrooms, household appliances, electricity, water, and the roofs do not leak anymore. There are many children who obtained their own rooms, worktables, closets, toys or computers for the first time. There are many parents who today have the opportunity to provide their children with the glass of fresh cow, sheep of goat milk, and use the tractors with appliances in farming their land and thus earning for their families. Apart from the direct material help to the families, on many occasions we have helped public kitchens, ambulances, maternity wards and hospitals, kindergartens, elementary and high schools and other institutions who are daily taking care of health and education of the children.
On June 4, 2016, the official website of the Charity organization SERBS FOR SERBS www.srbizasrbe.org recorded 13 million visits since 2007, and almost a million new visits from March to June this year. That surely represents the additional support to our charity work and the actions of helping the socially disadvantaged families throughout Serbia, the Republic of Srpska and the region. NO SURRENDER! SERBS FOR SERBS

Serbs for Serbs Canada is a branch of the Charity organization Serbs for Serbs, based in Belgrade. Serbs for Serbs Canada believes, and has witnessed for itself, how much can be achieved when we come together. When we open our hearts to struggling Serbian families in the Balkans, our message to them is: we hear you, we see you and we have not forgotten about you. Serbs for Serbs Canada continues to attract more and more donors. Each year, the amount of money collected from our annual In Time for Bozic campaign and Palacinka Party grows. In addition to our fundraisers, individuals are coming forward with their own donations and fundraising initiatives.
