2012-13 Annual Giving Report Impressive records are always noteworthy, yet they are hardly the ultimate goal of Latin’s fundraising. Rather, the funds raised are always focused on the educational experience that is sustained for our students. Balancing academic excellence with robust arts and athletic programs in an environment that stresses honor, respect, civility, leadership, and individual effort is our School’s legacy as well as our vision for future progress. We invite you to learn how your gifts result in tangible assets for teaching and learning at Latin, and we hope that you will be impressed by the “Latin Facts” that are presented throughout this document. As ambassadors for our School, we hope that you will share these accomplishments and other impressive statistics about Charlotte Latin with others. Your good opinion of Latin is the richest treasure possessed by our School community.

Dear CLS Community, Welcome to the 2013 Report on Annual Giving. I am pleased to present this report to you in gratitude and to say thank you for all that you give to Charlotte Latin School, through both your time and financial resources. We are as committed as ever to preserving the foundation of this wonderful school – a foundation built upon community. Preserving the very culture of community at Latin while remaining steadfast as we carry out the School’s mission to “offer growth promoting opportunities” becomes more difficult, ironically, with each passing year. Modern advancements in technology, social forums that are “removed” from the repercussions of real-time, real-live dialogue, and a very youthful, less-than-perfect system for accountability for communications shared via social networks may stretch the fabric of a community unless intentional and thoughtful steps are put in place to sustain and nurture relationships.
Arch McIntosh, Headmaster
I suspect we might all have the ability to come up with an abundance of pros and cons with regard to technology. Rather than dwell on the negatives, however, Latin is focusing on the balance we can create in our programs and the digital citizenship we can first, teach, and second, expect from our students, faculty, and School community. Thanks to funds raised in 2012-2013, Latin has taken its technological capabilities to the next level while simultaneously continuing to emphasize strong personal connections and the importance of face-to-face communications. The School has invested significantly in its technology infrastructure, launched a new website to enhance instruction and communications, and integrated iPads and other devices in classrooms to encourage students to collaborate and help teachers address their students’ individual learning styles. These and other investments in technology that you support through your gifts are invaluable assets in our quest to provide students with the experiences and connections required for their futures in the 21st century. Head of Middle School Debbie Lamm often refers to insights shared by former NAIS president Pat Bassett, who stressed the need for “hi-tech and hi-touch” curricula, and the resulting balancing act necessary to teach our students in a contemporary technological environment while committing ourselves to high levels of interpersonal communication. “Hi-touch” is often addressed by providing additional hands-on learning opportunities in our classrooms, which is identified as a priority in the CLS Strategic Plan.

Charlotte Latin School
Message from the Headmaster
As we have witnessed in just a few short months, the experiential learning opportunities provided by our new Hawks Quest low ropes challenge course has strengthened the reciprocity of trust among small groups, larger groups, athletes, coaches, and young children. For example, our Middle School students have demonstrated a higher degree of collaboration, creativity, and engagement as the result of participating in intramurals activities using the challenge course. This transformational course was a direct result of your funding, with our Parents’ Council taking the first leap toward making sure that Hawks Quest would become a reality. Experiential learning is balancing our commitment to offering the greatest resources with regard to technology while ensuring that the CLS culture always places a handshake ahead of an email. Sustaining culture in the midst of rapid and necessary advancement takes persistence, financial resources, flexibility, diligence, and support. We celebrate our students, parents, alumni, grandparents, governing boards, faculty and staff, and our other committed supporters for being key members of this hard working, generous, and open-minded community. Our School has benefitted from your wealth of knowledge, experience, and time. The Charlotte Latin community continues to extend its reach by attracting new families, leading to record enrollment of 1402 at the time this letter was written. We have hired an eager, well-educated cohort of seventy-eight new faculty and staff over the last three years, who were drawn to Latin for our community’s values, our vision of a vibrant future, and most importantly, our shared focus on teaching young people. The contents of this report will go into greater detail around the success of this year’s New Family Campaign, the wonderful results of The Latin Fund, and the continued progress that is sustained by the generosity of our School community. To remain a preeminent independent day school requires great financial resources, volunteer resources, and vision. It mandates that we honor the past, work for the future, and stay focused on the present. In this letter, I hope I succeeded in extending our heartfelt gratitude to you for trusting us, investing in Latin, and remaining engaged in this thoughtful community. I share your pride in our School and honor you for making Charlotte Latin the special school that it is for our students, who are growing into adults who will contribute in meaningful ways to the world far beyond the boundaries of our beautiful campus. Humbly Yours,
Arch McIntosh Headmaster

Eric and Elizabeth Lloyd are the parents of Carter ’21, Johnston ’21, and William ’19.
As our School community moves forward to leverage opportunities while safeguarding those tenets of the Latin experience that have served us so well for years, I pledge to keep you – the stakeholders and “heart” of Charlotte Latin - informed, supported in your involvement in the life of our School, and assured that your investment in Latin is well placed and treated with unmatched stewardship for the benefit of your children, grandchildren, and friends. Dear Hawks, As the fifteenth Chairman of the Board of Trustees, I am honored to share this annual report with you. For more than 43 years, the School has remained committed to and modeled values for our students, including those officially adopted in 2010: Honor Above All, Excellence, Leadership, Respect, Personal Responsibility, and Moral Courage. Legacies of this magnitude do not occur without effective leadership. The leaders who preceded me – the students, parents, alumni, alumni parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, trustees, and my fellow Board Chairs – prepared the School to succeed by welcoming new ideas, exercising flexibility, and practicing sound judgment. It is my commitment to you to build upon this tradition while remaining true to Latin’s values and principles. I accepted responsibility as the Chairman in June, after serving as a trustee and having children at Latin for many years. In the past year, as in any year, challenges arose just as accomplishments were celebrated. I was inspired and humbled to witness, firsthand, the strength of the CLS community and the unwavering leadership of our Headmaster, faculty, and Board of Trustees as Charlotte Latin continued to progress.

Charlotte Latin School
Elizabeth and I are proud to be the Charlotte Latin parents of Carter ’21, Johnston ’21, and William ’19. When I was asked to serve as a trustee, I was both humbled by the honor and excited to be more involved in the School that is a second home to our children. Elizabeth and I value education at the highest level, knowing it is directly nurturing the development of our children. I now know, firsthand, what I always believed to be true: our School focuses first on students as individuals and good citizens, which creates the strong foundation for this School community that we all love. It is the moments when I see or hear about the high integrity of our student body that I am most proud and most grateful to be a father of CLS students. Thank you for allowing me to serve as your Chairman for the next two years. You have my commitment that I will stay true to our core values and work hard to enhance the great School that we are so blessed to have as a part of our lives. Go Hawks!
Eric Lloyd Chairman, CLS Board of Trustees
Message from the chairman of the board of trustees
Keep YOu Informed Latin’s leadership has committed ourselves to improving the information we communicate to our stakeholders and to increase the efficiency with which we communicate. As Chairman of the Board of Trustees, I will endeavor to keep you informed of School business as it relates to your investment of time and resources. If you ever need to reach me, I am accessible. Your generosity is at work every day on this campus – and we illustrate this important story in this publication. For example, thanks to you, the investment in technology increased by more than 150% last year as compared to the previous year. Specifically, the need for much greater wireless capability demanded, first, an investment in the wireless infrastructure. Without your commitment to The Latin Fund, it may have taken the School far longer to provide this capability, which now is on par with Internet accessibility that our students and their families depend upon off the campus. The stewardship of your financial commitment, volunteer time, and confidence in our School is of utmost importance to us and is a responsibility I work to be worthy of every day. Your involvement At the heart of Latin is a community that is involved. The commitment of our School community is evident in so many ways. When I describe Latin to prospective parents, I encourage them to visit and experience our School. I tell them to observe our students, parents, faculty, and administration supporting one another at campus events – academic competitions, athletic games, performances, and more. Thanks to Parents’ Council, Booster Club, Latin Arts Association, class liaisons, team parent representatives, and so many others, our School has quite literally created a legacy of “front line” volunteers. While we cannot help but recognize the ease and convenience of efficient electronic communications and programs, we will never replace those of you who “show up” day after day, game after game, and meeting after meeting. It is the essence of who we are as a School community: strong and enduring relationships define us. For Elizabeth and me, we have established friendships through Latin that will be so greatly cherished long after our children have graduated.
your Investment Without you, our beautiful campus would not exist. Without you, the great news reported in this report would not exist. Instead, our campus continues to improve, such as by the addition of the Hawks Quest challenge course, and this report gets more detailed and colorful each year as it reflects our School’s progress. Year after year, we are proud to celebrate 100% participation in The New Family Campaign, thanks to the generosity of parents new to our School community and to the volunteers who continue to work so diligently on our behalf. Our Latin Fund, having completed a successful second year, has become the most significant annual fundraising effort for Charlotte Latin. Among the appeal’s impressive statistics is the very strong growth of alumni participation, which nearly doubled over the course of two years after hovering at the 10% participation rate for eleven years. Another noteworthy success is the increase in The Latin Fund’s volunteer base, which is growing exponentially. For example, in year one of the appeal approximately 20 parents volunteered while 80 parents are serving during year three. The Latin Fund also is serving to strengthen relationships among our alumni, alumni parents, and grandparents by establishing networking platforms that engage our volunteer base. This engagement is a clear indicator of community satisfaction, as well as a great predictor of future success. You have invested in the School for many years, throughout many events, and in support of many campaigns. Latin’s parents, alumni, alumni parents, grandparents, faculty and staff, and even our college-age alumni are all focused on moving us toward the greatest possibilities. We are humbled, motivated, and far better together because of your interest, involvement, and investment in Charlotte Latin School.

Students’ and parents’ enthusiasm is soaring over Latin’s new Hawks Quest program and its low ropes team challenge course. The program provides experiential education and leadership opportunities through a series of indoor and outdoor initiatives that stimulate critical thinking, reflection, and application in a group setting. For example, students are engaged in the following ways: • A series of monthly classroom initiatives for second and fifth grade students that is tailored to support the curriculum and flow in a sequence focusing on cooperation, trust, problem solving, then the challenge followed by reflection. • Middle School students experiencing the Hawks Quest low ropes elements two Fridays each month, followed by reflection and lesson sharing the following Monday. • Ninth grade students utilizing Hawks Quest low ropes elements in a series of ten Physical Education classes. Excitement over the Hawks Quest program is spreading with a variety of Latin groups, including the football team and athletic coaches, already benefitting tremendously. “Hawks Quest Director Ann Brock’s willingness to introduce the course to new groups is contagious,” says Middle School Athletic Director and Varsity Lacrosse Coach Dick Sipperly. “We all want to be a part of Hawks Quest.”
“Hawks Quest has added a wonderful dimension to the physical education program at Charlotte Latin. While the goals of the department have always been to promote lifelong fitness, to develop the skills necessary to live a healthy, active life, and to uphold the ideals of ‘Honor Above All’ in all our endeavors, the challenge course has given us new ways to teach the skills of team work and the importance of operating with integrity in all of our actions. Watching the students develop trusting relationships while overcoming challenges in this new environment has been a thrill for the facilitators.” – Laura Thomsen, Physical Education Department Chair

Experiential learning at charlotte latin
As a result of careful consideration from the School’s leadership and the Board of Trustees’ Building and Grounds Committee, along with the advocacy and efforts of the Physical Education team and Maintenance crew, students are now collaborating, developing leadership skills, and enjoying nature as a part of their ongoing curriculum. “I am thrilled that we have a low ropes team challenge course on campus and can hardly wait until we are able to train juniors and seniors to assist on the course,” says Mrs. Lamm. “What an awesome leadership opportunity for our students.”
Interest in a challenge course began years ago and was highlighted in the development of Charlotte Latin’s Campus Master Plan. The challenge course also was identified as a key program to achieve the experiential education and leadership development goals stated in Charlotte Latin’s Strategic Plan. A proposal for this concept was submitted by Dick Sipperly with support from Head of Middle School Debbie Lamm, Physical Education Chair Laura Thomsen, and Curriculum Coordinator Bill Zuehlke.

Hawks Quest distinguishes Charlotte Latin from other schools in the region as it brings life to the School’s mission of offering growth-promoting opportunities for students. Sixth grade humanities teacher Kari Wimbish shares how the Hawks Quest program, especially the reflection period, will have a long-term, positive effect on Latin’s students: “It would be easy for students to perceive trips out to the challenge course as just fun activities that change the daily routine. We knew we needed to extend what they were learning into other settings, and advisory provides the perfect opportunity.” The key is that the follow-up reflection discussions are led by students. The result of these follow-up sessions is a sense of continuity. Like the old saying, “We learn IN school, but not FOR school, we’re hoping that what we learn on the challenge course about working together and persevering through a problem doesn’t just remain on the course. These are lessons we need for life.”

asserts that independent schools in the future will need to balance ‘high tech with touch.’ I think it is noteworthy that Latin began the use of 1:1 mobile learning using iPads while adding the team challenge program in the same year. “Within the past year, there has been a significant paradigm shift in the Lower School in terms of the way we use technology. Lower School teachers are aware that creating a “21st century learner” goes beyond just the use of technology, but also emphasizes the importance of students continuing to problem-solve, adapt, collaborate, investigate, and create. If we teach our students “netiquette” at an early age within the classroom, responsible digital citizenship will flourish.” – Stacey Robinson, Lower School Technology Coordinator
high tech with high touch
“Even though we live in a world where technology is more and more ubiquitous, I am driven by my desire to help people learn to use technology as a way of strengthening our connections with each other.” – Andy Tucker, Coordinator of Instructional Technology and Upper School English teacher
Charlotte Latin has made incredible strides in enhancing the School’s philosophy and practice regarding the use of technology in both the classroom and students’ lives. Andy Tucker, Coordinator of Instructional Technology and Upper School English teacher, states, “Although the use of technology can help us work more efficiently, it can never replace the personal interactions – among students, parents, alumni, faculty and administrators – that make Charlotte Latin School such a remarkable place, which is why it is so important that we teach our students not only how to use technology but also when to use it.” According to Third Grade teacher Mary Ellen Reese, “Using iPads in the classroom keeps the students engaged and able to take control of their own learning. For example, iPads offer several easy-to-use presentation tools that allow students to create and work on their public speaking skills. iPad applications are changing the way students grasp new concepts, providing them with an infinite amount of learning opportunities and getting them more excited than ever!”
Technology Advancements 2012-13 • iPad Pilot Programs – After extensive research and work to align technology initiatives with the CLS Strategic Plan, two programs are being implemented beginning in the 2013-14 school year: • A 1:1 iPad program in the seventh grade. • Two mobile iPad labs in the third and fourth grades. • New Website – CLS contracted with Finalsite, a leading Web services company for schools, to provide the platform for the School’s new combined external and internal (MyLatin) website, which supports instruction, streamlines both internal and external school communications, improves online functionality, and provides a customized online experience for each member of the Latin community. • Technology Professional Development – As the School continues to integrate technology appropriately into the classroom, professional development opportunities are being offered to prepare the faculty and staff to acquire the expertise needed to maintain a ‘high touch high tech’ balance in the curriculum.

Committee Highlight: Global Partners Global Partners is just one of the eighteen committees sponsored by the Parents’ Council. Global Partners’ mission is to promote awareness of other countries and their cultures. Each school year focuses on life in a particular country by providing enrichment activities for the Lower School students. “Not only does this program provide an opportunity to explore such incredible places and cultures, but the students are given a new perspective on life’s possibilities. “In my first year as a Global Partners volunteer, I was surprised by the intense energy level of the seven- and eight-year-old students. There was constant motion - raising of hands, chatter, and excitement,” says Kim Tayloe, Prime for Life Educator.
“I value the importance of having global awareness instilled in our children. Knowing about other countries and cultures teaches tolerance towards others and opens your own world to the greater world. I have enjoyed being involved with Global Partners and seeing the impact the program has had on the children and their interest in learning about the different countries. I remember one child greeting me delightfully with a proud “Ni hao,” and another asking excitedly what the next year’s country will be.” Global Partners volunteers Amy Foley and Stacy Sparks display all things India in the Lower School Foyer.

latin arts association LAA IN ACTION Two of the programs that LAA supported in 2012-13 through its volunteerism and financial resources were the inaugural Slam Poetry Team for Upper School students and The Blue Review release reception.
The Latin Arts Association (LAA) is an umbrella volunteer organization that unites the Friends of Music (FOM), Friends of Theater Arts (FOTA), Visual Arts Department, and the Creative Writing Program. Latin Arts volunteers promote and provide financial support for the vocal and performing arts, theater arts, creative writing, and visual arts programs. LAA’s commitment to highlighting the arts helps Latin’s students perform at an exceptional level that is recognized among peer schools in the Southeast.
Upper School English teacher Richard Harris started the Creative Writing Club to offer Latin students workshops, leadership opportunities, and fellowship while encouraging public literary readings. As a result, the inaugural Slam Poetry Team was created. Slam Poetry is a dramatic reading of a memorized poem that is performed on stage by either an individual or a group. LAA helped fund workshops conducted by a local slam poet who helped prepare the team for a public slam poetry performance.
The Blue Review is a student-produced publication that highlights the creativity of student writers and artists. The compilation was released at a reception organized and funded by the LAA. LAA projects: Publications like The In addition to providing publicity and volunteer Blue Review, along support for all Theater and Music productions, with the Scholastic LAA made the following possible: Writing Competition, celebrate and • Lower School Broadway – promote the 93 fourth and fifth graders students’ talents. • Lower School Drama Workshops – 200 second and third graders • Senior Art Exhibit and Opening Reception • Blue Review Release Party, Open Mic “It is truly rewarding to see students come to the Reception, and Gallery Crawl realization that they are among the best writers in • Wireless headsets for the Technical the nation. Says Audio-Visual Technology Director Jay Scott, “LAA’s purchase of wireless headsets is enhancing communications during a production. Having wireless headsets gives students the advantage of being anywhere on the stage and not tied down to a cable. LAA’s help with purchasing the starter headphones has brought our program into the 21st century when it comes to communication. Thanks to all of the LAA members.”

“What is beautiful, impressive, and reassuring about Charlotte Latin School is that while many educational institutions are eliminating their fine arts programs, with the help of Latin Arts Association, our students are able to explore, develop, and fine-tune their artistic talents. These are not only powerful, transferrable skills that follow students into adulthood, but they will continue to enrich their world for a lifetime.” – Patty Lambert, PR/Communications Co-Chair for LAA

The Booster Club The Charlotte Latin Booster Club supports the School’s student athletes, coaches, and athletic program by providing volunteer and financial resources. Booster Club also sponsors activities and events that recognize student leaders, outstanding athletes and coaches, and the practice of good sportsmanship during competitions and beyond. Booster Club volunteers serve in a number of vital roles, such as staffing entrance gates and concession stands during games and tournaments. Membership is open to all Hawks fans at the Super Booster or Regular Booster levels.
2012-13 Booster Club highlights “The Booster Club is vital to our athletic program by focusing on the entirety of our program and not on individual teams. I’ve heard numerous times from schools across the state that our Booster Club sets the gold standard for its spirit of volunteerism.” – David Gatoux, Director of Athletics

It’s a way to be involved and enjoy what our children have fun being a part of!” - Mimi and Jeff Kane, Booster Club Board Members At on-campus athletic events, the Booster Club is often the first to be seen by Latin families and visitors at membertship booths and at the spirit table.

“Athletics today can sometimes exert or claim a larger value, but it seems what is special at CLS is the way it assists students in dealing with challenges they face on the athletic field, so that they are better equipped to face them in other settings both at CLS and later in life. Team sports have meant a great deal to our two daughters and at CLS they have learned so much more than the win/loss record can even begin to portray. Our interest in the Booster Club comes from our desire to see others experience this same joy.” - Leila and Thomas Evans, Booster Club Board Members Annual Giving Report 2012-2013

Blair Shwedo ’02 “Charlotte Latin played a major role in my success in college and my preparedness for the real world,” says Blair Shwedo ’02. “When I entered college, the skills I learned at Latin definitely gave me an edge over most freshmen, which eventually opened doors to better career opportunities. Latin taught me effective studying techniques and time management skills that I carried into college and the professional world.” Blair graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a double major in Mathematical Decision Sciences and Economics. He moved back to Charlotte and works for Wells Fargo in Fixed Income Sales & Trading. Blair and his wife, Emily, have been married for four years and have daughter, Ridley, who they hope will continue his Latin legacy.
“I give to Latin because I think it is important to help Latin continue to build upon our many academic, athletic and fine art successes. Not only do I enjoy reading about all the accomplishments obtained by Charlotte Latin students each year, but I also want to do my part in ensuring that the School continues to excel so that my daughter will one day have the opportunity to experience the great educational opportunity that Latin offers.”

Participation in The Latin FunD The participation of every member of the Latin community in The Latin Fund is crucial to the long-term health and sustainability of the School. In every sense, this support allows Latin to “encourage individual development and civility in our students by inspiring them to learn, by encouraging them to serve others, and by offering them many growth-promoting opportunities.” This important message reached more than 7,500 members of the Latin community last year, which resulted in more than 500 first-time gifts, including 400 firsttime gifts to The Latin Fund. Latin is deeply grateful to those trustees, parents, alumni, alumni parents, grandparents, faculty and staff members, and friends who responded with their thoughtful gifts.

“We feel that the teachers and coaches of Charlotte Latin School helped us raise our four children and for that we will be forever grateful. The quality of their education and the life lessons they learned – not to mention the lifelong friendships made with their peers and adults – will be with them throughout their lives. The vision and generosity of the families who came before us helped to provide many of those opportunities; we feel an obligation to return the favor and continue that tradition.” - Yvonne and Rick Rayburn, Alumni Parents

endowment funds
Endowed funds at Charlotte Latin have been established to honor legacies, to increase the breadth of diversity in our School community, to recognize the extraordinary impact our faculty has on our students, to provide, in some cases, a CLS education to students who may otherwise not have this opportunity, and for many more reasons that honor people in this community – past and present. The significance of a named endowment is tremendous and is a great honor bestowed upon the recipient of any named grant or award. We are eternally grateful to the visionaries who enabled the following named endowments. Market values are as of June 30, 2013.
If you would like further information about how to contribute to one of the endowments or how to establish a new endowment, please contact CLS Director of Development Mary Jane Gallagher at 704-841-7463 or mjgallagher@charlottelatin.org.
ENDOWMENT fundS Alumni Market Value $1,424,193 Following its first Alumni Campaign in 1990, the Charlotte Latin Alumni Governing Board established the Alumni Endowment. The Alumni Governing Board is responsible for allocating Endowment funds to benefit the School with the ultimate mission of supporting faculty members. The proceeds currently fund two Alumni Association Distinguished Faculty Chairs, the highest honor given to a Latin faculty member, and support the Inlustrate Orbem Alumni Awards, which annually recognize and financially reward an outstanding teacher from each of the School’s three divisions.
Barnhardt Minority Scholarship Fund Market Value $95,947 The Barnhardt Minority Scholarship Fund was originally envisioned and established by members of the William M. Barnhardt, William B. Barnhardt, and R. Alan Barnhardt families in 1993. By making a significant difference in the lives of every Barnhardt Minority Scholar and their families, they are also sharing Latin’s goal to increase diversity within the student population.
The Bob and Mindy ’78 Jones Endowment Market Value $146,211 Bob and Mindy ’78 Jones established the endowment in 2007 to provide financial support to deserving faculty members, particularly in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and math. This endowment is accepting additional contributions.
Bob Patten Scholarship Award Market Value $63,825 This award was established by family and friends in memory of Robert (Bob) A. Mrs. Van Every’s daughter and former Charlotte Latin Trustee, Nancy McLaurin, was instrumental in assisting Latin to bring her mother’s vision for her legacy to reality. In doing so, Mrs. McLaurin helped further energize Latin’s efforts to reach out to minority students to offer them a caring environment and an educational experience worthy of their intellectual capabilities.
Faculty Endowment Market Value $3,372,229 Charlotte Latin School is fortunate to attract the best and brightest faculty members who are highly committed to educating young minds. The student-teacher relationships born at Latin inspire the student body to go deeper, broader, and further into their studies. Charlotte Latin School
Stewarding your Resources
Stewarding your Resources Under the excellent leadership and expert guidance of Bill Zuehlke, Curriculum Coordinator and Upper School Science Chair, Charlotte Latin School has successfully implemented a robust “Sustainability, Recycling, and Conservation” program. The goal is to increase our compost and recycling output to 90% and decrease landfill output to 10%. Over the past three years, Latin has made great strides toward this goal.
Our Recycling efforts Between September 2011 and May 2013, the Latin community has kept the following out of the landfill: 2244 pounds of batteries 757 cell phones 2975 Printer cartridges 290 compact fluorescent light bulbs >250 2’, 4’, 8’ fluorescent tube lights 131 computers, laptops, TVs, projectors.
Wells Fargo Green Awards is a coordinated effort sponsored by the Charlotte Chamber, the Charlotte Chamber GreenWorks, and the 2013 Wells Fargo Green Awards jury with the goal of recognizing member companies who have incorporated innovative, sustainable practices in the products they produce, the services they provide, and within the culture of their company. This year’s award for large businesses (50+ employees) goes to Charlotte Latin School! Charlotte Latin was the ONLY school nominated for the award.

Thank you for your investment in Charlotte Latin School.
