FINAL THOUGHTS

Sir, honestly I hated you during semester five. However, you made me realise one important lesson in architecture life which is to be an honest designer to myself. I will continue to hold onto this principle in the future as well. Thank you for your guidance and immense passion. #Teamcherngyih rocks!!!!!!! - Ee Von
You are the one who make me ask myself ‘How great I want to be as an architect in the future?’ Although I still don’t have a specific answer to myself, but I know to be a successful architect, I must have passion in Architecture, keep trying and have faith. What I have learnt from you isn’t only about architecture but also in personality and attitude. I am glad I have the chance be in #Teamcherngyih with the best teammates and best tutor. - Jun
Thank you very much for all the guidance and teachings throughout this semester. You are the only lecturer that has ever pointed out my weakness and improve the ways I do things, besides being such an inspiring lecturer that increases my enthusiasm in architecture more than I ever felt before. I may not be your best student, but you are definitely the best tutor I ever met. - Say Yin
“If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.” “I will make you fall in love with Architecture” Yes sir, you have succeeded. Thank you sir for all the inspirations you have given, I will never forget. - Yu Xuan
“If you are willing to work hard, I’m willing to work hard with you.” Thank you sir for keeping your word. - Look
I really appreciate the way you listen to what we want though sometimes, we can’t even figure out what we want. Thanks for encouraging us to go crazy, it’s like there are always more to get when we go beyond our boundary. And, I will never forget you wait in studio until we finish our model, to listen to our new idea. That was semester five, when we almost crumbled. - Kah Voon
Actually, it was quite suffering. But I’ve gained so much with every step. Thank you Mr. Cherng Yih for pushing us. And yes, I fell in love with architecture. - Jia Pin
You inspired me a lot in architecture, you are the only tutor inspired me to work harder and make me fall in love into architecture. You will always worry about us and patiently give us guidance thought out this semester. This is a really unforgettable studio with you, you are the best, sir. - Yi Feng
For the courage to always go beyond the boundary, for the countless times of reminder not to be lazy, for the space given to explore deeper, for the spot on precedents just to make us clear and for the most-anticipated-post-tutorial-emails every week, we owe it all to you. Deepest gratitude, sir. - Anis
