(A) High tea food poisoning at Langham Hotel, Melbourne (11th and 22th of July, 2015) 01. 66 of the 99 customers fell sick, 23 of them diagnosed with Salmonella 02. A further 14 people require hospitalisation 03. A pregnant woman, elderly and children suffered serious symptoms 04. 2124 salmonellosis cases reported so far at Victoria, 2015 (50% rise in 2 years)

(B) Impacts 01. Loss of customer confidence and trust on food safety, hygiene and service provided by Langham Hotel’s high tea restaurant, kitchen and staff 02. Malware is undetectable by all anti-viral systems 04. Hack started just before Christmas 2014 and only detected by the Hotel
