is focusing on the works of the Italian director, Giuseppe Tornatore. His films are characterized by high production values, a visual style that combines the experimental with aesthetically polished. I chose four movies to illustrate his film PAG E

system and kit for a sustainable latex powder paint using environmentally friendly materials derived from sustainable resources. The design needs to represent the sustainability aspects of the product and the soul of the brand. S O L U T I O N > > _ Inspired by the Nordic style furniture and

architecture design of a Finnish furniture company Artek, I came up with the idea of using non-metal materials that relate to stay way from how traditional paint cans look like. I used 100% recycled paperboard to craft the packaging design. The name of

from Monotype Company and design a type of specimen for the typeface. The students were asked to explore the anatomy of a typeface. SOLUTION

I choose Rockwell family, a slab serif

typeface. Slab serif lettering became popular rapidly in any area where wooden faces were commonly used. Based on the bold and geometric look of Rockwell, I use bright color and dynamic layout to convey a sense of honesty, accessibility, as well nostalgia and glory. PAG E >> _ 0 76

Molinari Deli in San Francisco, I found out that they tired to step into a high-end market but it failed. poster in San Francisco and redesign a series of products for the brand that the hand-drawing poster belonged to. SOLUTION

I found a poster from Hayes Valley Farm,

a community-run farm located in the heart of San Francisco. I chose the color scheme from soil, plants to sky. In addition, I chose a typeface with organic and fresh feeling. For this project, I designed a booklet, seed package, farm map and website.

typographic poster that visually interprets a song. Explore various ways of looking types without software. S O L U T I O N > > _ I picked the song “Safe and Sound” from the

movie Hunger Games for this subject. My vision of the movie along with the lyrics of the song greatly influenced the bold type and the fire image that I used. The process of this design involved a combination of type and images printed on acetate sheets that were projected onto a wall by an overhead projector. urban agriculture projects. While some people grow food directly, some people play a supportive role in educating and providing resources for urban agriculture. The issue is that there are a growing number of young people who are willing to join or have the potential to be a part of these projects, they are often quite disengaged to the urban agriculture projects.
