Emerged Patterns

Following the method of locating the abandoned buildings, patterns started to emerge. These patterns create opportunity for larger scaled interventions.

Where corner blocks could be transformed into public plazas. Whole blocks may be completely redesigned where new relationships between neighbouring streets could be created. Buildings across streets could enable pedestrian pathways to be widened where activity could take place instead of a building ruining.

So, it is not just the abandoned buildings which exist, but abandoned junctions, blocks and streets which all have a huge impact on the city environment. Corners of Blocks
