Saturday 12 March, 7.30pm, Pittville Pump Room Anna Shelest and the Cheltenham Symphony Orchestra return with Prokofiev’s second piano concerto, one of the most technically formidable piano concertos in the standard repertoire. The Russian theme is continued with the Little Russian symphony (No.2) of Tchaikovsky and music from The Firebird that marked the beginning of the collaboration between Diaghilev and Stravinsky for the Ballets Russes.
