Saturday 28 November, 7.30pm, Pittville Pump Room Two delightful Christmas works by French composers feature in this festive concert. Writing in 1690, Charpentier used traditional French carol melodies in a liturgical setting to produce his tuneful and popular ‘Midnight Mass’. In the ‘Christmas Oratorio’ of 1858, Saint-Saens combined music that pays homage to J.S. Bach with his own blend of Romanticism. Both have parts for five soloists and are perfect for the festive period!

Wednesday 2 December, 2.30pm & 7.15pm, Cheltenham Town Hall Come and join the members of the WI as they celebrate Christmas and their centenary with their special guests, opera singing trio Sol3 Mio. The trio combine powerful and moving operatic voices, with more than a dash of uncontainable Samoan humour! Their whirlwind success in 2014 has continued unabated into 2015 with a national sell-out tour, plus a tour with Alfie Boe.
