JUMP FOR JOY! I’ve had ten glorious years of leading this arts organization, and I’ve decided to celebrate by choosing a season that will tickle your funny bones, make your spines tingle, cause your toes to tap, and warm your hearts. Comedies, love stories, ghost stories and musicals…filled with a nostalgic glow that will keep you celebrating all year long. Join us in our quaint little seaside village. Here you can meet your friends, take in the murals, explore our unique shops, and walk through the ancient forest of Askew Park. Then you’ll enter our theatre complex where you’ll discover the beautiful work of BC artists and artisans, you’ll taste the exquisite pre-theatre cuisine in the Playbill dining room, and then you’ll top your day off by experiencing the joy of live theatre. Our heart felt and detailed productions of the classics take place in an intimate 268 seat theatre. There you will share in the passions, the laughter, the tears and the joy of some of the most accomplished professionals from all across Canada. Join us. We’re Central Vancouver Island’s favourite theatre destination.

LETTER FROM WINGFIELD FARM BY DAN NEEDLES STARRING ROD BEATTIE When a city slicker trades his pinstripe suit for overalls and moves to a hundred acre farm, the local township sounds the alarm. Weekend farmers are common, but this man thinks he can make a living with a broken down racehorse and a single furrow plough. Hilariously funny! Don’t miss this Canadian classic that has played to sold out houses from coast to coast. Beattie is astonishingly adept at transforming himself from one character to another in a matter of seconds, calling up echoes of a crotchety Walter Brennan, a gawky Jimmy Stewart or a flustered Bob Newhart. MR. PIM PASSES BY BY A. A. MILNE Mr. Pim blows into town and quickly turns an unsuspecting family's quiet country life upside down. From the writer of Winnie the Pooh comes this delightful grown up comedy. Absolutely charming...and just a trifle scandalous, the original production took the West End and Broadway by storm. Dinah: Brian, this is Mr. Pim! He’s been telling me all about himself. Pim: I haven’t said a word. I never opened my mouth. Dinah: Yes. It’s so interesting.

AH, WILDERNESS! BY EUGENE O’NEILL A tender-hearted comedy for anyone who has fallen in love, grown up, and discovered that their parents were once young, too. Many consider Eugene O’ Neill the greatest American playwright. His nostalgic look back at life in a small seaside town is joyful, beguiling, and uplifting.
I can only remember a few nights that were as beautiful as this – and they were so long ago – when your mother and I were young.

THE WOMAN IN BLACK ADAPTED BY STEPHEN MALLATRATT FROM THE BOOK BY SUSAN HILL A shiver, a jump, a tingle up the spine. Eel Marsh House stands tall and
gaunt
on
the
bleak
English seaside. A gentleman is sent to this lonely place, unaware of the secrets that lie behind the house’s shuttered windows… or the identity of the mysterious woman in black. This old fashioned ghost story has played to sold out houses in London’s West End for over two decades!

ANNE BY PAUL LEDOUX FROM THE NOVEL, ANNE OF GREEN GABLES BY L.M. MONTGOMERY Our favourite red-head is back in this marvelous new adaptation of the classic story. “That’s Green Gables. Montgomery” is a trademark of Heirs of L.M. Montgomery Inc. This dramatization by playwright Paul Ledoux is produced with the permission of Ruth Macdonald and David Macdonald.
