A TEMPORARY PAVILION West Kowloon, Hong Kong CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

CONCEPT STATEMENT Our idea is based on the narrative above and followed people-oriented principles through using the simplest materials to create a cozy space in the city. In the design, we apply the rusty texture of the material to create the space, which presents the intense atmosphere of high-rise mansions in the city. The interior part creates contrast through green translucent plastic pillars making a natural space similar to the bamboo forest. Finally, the roof is made out of tensioned fabric in the shape of a leaf, which creates the shelter for escaping from the heat and storm, so people can indulge in comfort surrounded by nature

In the bustling city, most people work hard and feel exhausted with their life. Living at a fast-pace, we occasionally experience high pressure, and even lose ourselves. However, if there were a natural recreational space, located in the noisy environment, for getting rest comfortably, people can have the chance to atmosphere.
