JAPANESE KEN PROPORTIONING SYSTEM Katsura Imperial Hotel, Kyoto, Japan
This is a group assignment. This exercise is in attempt
to let us have self-discovery of the implication of scale and proportion in various factors in order to defines our understanding about architecture in broaden spectrum.
The way how we sense and feel the environment is always reflected thru interaction between the objects or built entities against our own self ’s physical dimension. Such inter reflection leads our mind to identify and realize our self-existence with an environment. Will such intrinsic sensuous dimension vary in various cultural, religious and geographical location?

SIX SPACES
OBJECTIVE /Site specific issues /Specific design requirement /Specific solution
SYNOPSIS
In the information age, the concept of habitation has been transformed from “simple” dwelling to “life style” living. The traditional communication by the communal halls has been defeated by digital communication devices. In short, the conventional perception of dwelling has been slowly merged into a single entity environment. In this ‘site specific’ and ‘specific design requirement exercise’ that requires specific solution to the problem, your trill on design will begin with your first step on the given site. Enjoy the journey, and hopefully a trilling resolution will be part of your artistic acts.

CROSS GENERATION HABITATS Batu 11 Cheras, Selangor. OBJECTIVE /Contextual analyze process /Understanding the circulation and inner reltionship of the spaces /Understanding the medium complexity of design
in the rapid revolved societies, the continuous evolvement
in job opportunities have attracted people to constantly switching jobs for better lifestyle, consistent planning on new logistic move from one city to another city for better prospect in their life. For such shuffering of working and habitat at environments, the traditional family unity value has slowly dissipated with the evidence of family members are being force to separated to each on the reasons of education, habitation, retirement and so on. The loosen family link would form a memory void in family history that, it should be avoided totally. In the exercise, you are entrusted with such opportunity to design a cross generation habitats that hopefully by your skillful design the impact of memory void will be kept to minimum.
