BOUNDARY MACHINE Community Center

In the city, the role of the building is sometimes like a huge machine, and people are the source of energy. A building needs people to be active in it to be alive. The concept will be brought into this design, and a machine that can eliminate the boundary is placed on the park so that external activities can merge with internal space, and revive the original lifeless center.

5

Issues of Dingmei Community Dingmei Community is located in Anping District, Tainan City. Compared to downtown, it lacks social resources. The nearest community center is small and services are simple. The social activities among the residents in Dingmei community are mainly concentrated in Dingmei Park. The rest of the public space in this community is almost unused. As a place for residents to rest and exercise, Dingmei Park has a pivotal position but is limited by the original site plan. The activities inside the park and the surrounding street context are discontinuous.

Site Plan Layer

The lack of resources in Dumei community is due to three invisible borders. The first is provincial highway No.17, which blocks the interaction between urban and suburban areas. The second is Anping block, which cuts off the communication of the commercial area. The third is the spacious streets around the park. I decided to break down these interfaces. By changing the configuration of the park, I want to integrate external activities with the building.

The Machine / Building I want to create a “machine which can eliminate the boundaries, allowing activities along the street to occur at the borders of the park and even into the community center. I plan to build a single structure placed at the junction of the park and the green space on the east side, surrounding it with greenery.

There are several restaurants in the north of the park that sometimes put the tables on the street. I saw potential for such behavior. Therefore, I placed an eat-together restaurant on the opposite street to animate the street. The playground is attached to the main body. Parents can freely see their children playing here from this distance. In addition, the community center can host the activities of parents and children’s recreation. Concept Model 9

Continuous Experience I eliminated the wall partitions, using the high and low changes of the terrain and floor, so that the residents’ actions can gradually go deeper into the activity center, and let the process of entering the community activity center be a dynamic and continuous experience.

There are no walls inside the community machine. Users can define the properties of the space by themselves. I hope that people can experience the feeling of gradual climbing in the process of deepening. 11

There is a playground for children next to the main entrance, connecting the inner hall and the children’s reading area. From the corner of Dingmei Street, you can see the activities taking place inside the open building. The terrain in the park is ups and downs. Group activities and health consultations can be held in semi-outdoor squares.

Made in Abyss OISTAT Tainan TAC

Our surroundings are full of hallucinations, illusions about the environment, daydreams, nightmares, and all improper thoughts are just like steaming violet mist, floating from the pores of the street bricks. At such times, I can’t help but feel that life is like a psychedelic drama. The abyss is my imagination of drama. Our city is a huge labyrinth, and the stage is like a monster that eats people. They are fascinating and indulgent. They hide in the ground all day, and they stick out huge mouths toward the sky and swallow all the passing people into the abdomen.

17

the fourth wall

Dramastic Experience Drama is the concretization of fantasy, but it still exists in imaginary space. Even if the fantasy becomes an illusion that can be seen, it is still not qualitative in time and space, and the stage is the carrier to accommodate these non-extinct illusions. The most typical word to explain the illusion is “the fourth wall.” The fourth wall literally refers to the interface between the performance area and audience area. The audience watches the stage, the stage rides the illusion, and a fourth wall separates these two. My design starts in the theater space which implies the script, stage, theater and urban location behind it. The stage is the performing area of the actors, which reproduces the content of the script. The audience meets the actors at the theatre. The city and culture in which the theater is located also influence the audience’s understanding of the most dramatic experience. Because the performance area is relatively bright, the actors cannot see the audience. They can be immersed in the drama, and the audience can see the most committed performance of the actor, both sides are very engaged in the illusion. When we return to the real world after a play, we can bring some imagination to life. The settings of the above theater spaces are ultimately reflected in reality.

As a historic block, Xinyi st has many small shops. The new theater will create the ups and downs of the landscape, which will lead the crowd of Xinyi street to Wenxian road. The zonal landscape near Wenxian road will retreat, forming a soft interface with the road, and a ladder which leads to the underground strongly implies the entrance. Spital Collage 19

Shops around the ground floor are oriented toward the center, creating an image of an underground plaza. The underground circular theatre lets the audience watch around the center stage. In such a special space, the performance on the stage seems more mysterious and psychedelic. Site Plan

The surface of the huge hole is like a rift valley, the light scattered, with everything in sight. The huge stair that open-air stage leads to backstage is like an extension stage, in the end, and the circulation of the audience intersecting, fictitious and real crisscross, just like a hallucinatory image. With the transparent water as the background, the whole stage seems to float above the water. The light is reflected through the water in the underground square, presenting a mysterious feeling of sparkling light.

The ground floor is a place for open circulation, and everyone can easily pass through the theater. The underground theater surrounds the core stage, just like the narrow space for anatomy in the Renaissance, full of ritual sense. The outdoor water stage is surrounded by surrounding houses, and residents can easily see the outdoor performance from the windows. The raised volume provides performers with practice and community performance halls.

WANDER MEMBRANE Pinkoi Branch Office

The working space is gradually changing in our era of rapid information dissemination. Compared with the low flexible working space in the past, young people today prefer a comfortable and relaxed environment to work in. In the face of the rapid development of science and technology, I think what the future work needs more is the ability to innovate and create. It is better to go out for a walk than to bury oneself in front of a computer. Therefore, I have created an energetic and dynamic workplace tailored to fit future young generations.

Changrong Rd

Dead Land Located at the corner of Linsen road and Dongning road, the site is like an isolated island. Although the old dormitory has historical value, it is dilapidated. Between the preservation and demolition, the essence of history is that people pay tribute to the past, since every building is bound to become ruins in the end. I decided to keep the old buildings and insert a new one to improve the lack of interest here. And propose a new type of office to echo the Pinkoi Branch Office in the future.

Due to the fast traffic flow on the Linsen road, it is difficult for pedestrians to cross, so I want the overpass to be a passageway for people to cross Linsen road from the community activity center in the park to Pinkoi Branch Office. In the process of walking on the overpass, crowds can be guided into the old buildings that they would not have set foot in by improving the view of the greenery, old dormitories, and new buildings below.

Pinkoi Branch Office Pinkoi is an online platform for niche designers to satisfy people desire to be different. Tainan is the historical birthplace of Taiwan. Many local cultures and creations are localized. I think Pinkoi’s division in Tainan can discover more local Taiwanese creators and bring local culture to the international stage. UTOPIA BODY Nudist Camp

“Nudism movement is 20-30 s of the 20th-century Chinese naked movement to pass from the west into the call.” celestial body “for the body of the” natural “. The naked movement originated from the ancient Greek civilization. People thought at that time the body is the most beautiful thing in nature as it is a carrier to show their confidence and pride. Therefore, people not only practice nudity in sports activities and in the festival, but also praise and use all kinds of art forms to express nudity.”

41

Blur Building From the moment we step into the celestial camp, we begin to gradually strip away our socialized selves. As the clothes fade one by one, the limitations of our senses are released, and the barriers separating us from nature are gently removed. In my design, the man-made building will disappear in the fog, but it can still be perceived by the touch, making people feel the ambiguity in the haze. I divided the process of entering into several segments. I first deprived the vision and let people walk into the darkness, then came the shoes, clothes, and senses, and constantly achieved the complete separation of body and mind from the secular world.

VOICING LOOP Department of Architecture

I consider the current learning space boring, lacking of vitality, and all the people are designing against a wall. In my opinion, the essence of university education is to tell us how to interpret the world and cultivate each person into an independent individual. Compared with the restricted free environment, it is better to break the shackles that bind us and conduct architectural education with a more free attitude. Therefore, I decided to break the existing pattern and expand the behavior of design into space with no privacy but freedom.

49

Freedom Hall I think the essence of university education is to tell how we can use a way to interpret the world, and every one of us into an independent individual, and my ideal education space like Scuola di Atene, students construct their unique attitude of the world and stand up for their positions. However, the space we use in the university still inherits the closed space state of China’s high school cramming education, such as our studio and painting studio. Based on this, I want to build an educational place where all students can voice out their opinions so that all students can learn to communicate, debate, and stand up for themselves in such a palace of freedom. Brief Sections

The site is located in the most important historical area of Tainan city. It was the political and economic center during the Japanese occupation about 100 years ago. The axis of arts and culture in front of the site distributes many historical buildings in the past, such as the Confucius temple, National Museum of Taiwan Literature, and Tainan He Tong Building. The site is located in this area, which occupies an important position as the opposite corner of Tainan Art Museum Building 2. The opposite is the Confucius temple, which symbolizes ancient education, and the Chunyi elementary school of the present primary education. In my opinion, communication between different fields and grades is essential for an urban college park. The enclosed space of a university town in Taiwan makes it difficult for the outside world to interact with students. I hope the new design can provide a platform for non-architecture professionals to share space with architecture professionals.

Interior Space Perspective

I broke the original stable but boring configuration and made all grade studios interwoven together, defining different working spaces with floor changes and furnishings, and stretching the depth of sight. All spaces will not belong to anyone, the gap between grades can be broken, and we will define our positioning and even the use of space in such a space. Other areas requiring fixed space, such as teachers’ offices and research rooms, are separated from the whole unstable spatial group and are a independent part of upper levels.

To Voice Out When the studio is organized, we lose everything. Even in an open loop, we can’t avoid the danger of our ideas being stolen or being watched by others. However, that creates opportunities for interaction. Every opinion should be actively communicated, just as all of us are actually eager for our talents to be seen. I hope everyone can find their own place in the studio and show their value in the place of learning.
