Hello spring and hello summer! After a rather chilly start to the year things are hotting up here at Chequer Mead. It’s been a rather busy time since the last brochure with sell out shows and the first stage of our seat refurbishment programme taking place. But we are not resting on our laurels…this spring summer brochure contains something for all ages. For our younger audiences there are fantastic shows by Bullfrog, one of the stage schools who use Chequer Mead. For music lovers - if you like Abba/Elvis/Buddy /Cliff or even Bowie then do keep reading as there is something for you too! Finally Company of Friends are back this summer with an all singing- all dancing version of classic ‘The King and I’. Not only is this going to be a great show, all proceeds are being donated to the on-going seat refurbishment programme! All shows are on sale now so don’t hesitate ring the box office or just pop into Chequer Mead and get your tickets now! NICK BYRNE Centre Manager
