Letter From LT.G
Division 3W, Hello sharksI hope you’ve had a great start to summer! First off, I am excited to announce that we have a new club joining our division, Spring Woods Key Club. Spring Woods was recently chartered, and was a member of Division 3S, but will be joining us in Division 3W. Please give them a warm welcome! As summer goes on, make sure to continue doing service projects! I included some tips to staying active over the summer, because I know that can be difficult. Hopefully it’ll help. Thank you all for coming out to the June DCM, even though it was humid and outdoors. Due to popular request, our next one will be indoors again! (Or so we hope). Yours in Service, Cheryl Li

Tips to Stay Active Make sure your members know when and where the events are! Whether its through Remind101, Facebook posts, or group messages, good communication is a key to staying active. If people don’t know about the events, how can they go?
Good Communication!
Service Projects! How do you stay active without something to do? Get a variety of service projects. Since school’s out, don’t worry abut scheduling them on weekdays anymore. If you need some service project ideas, start with your neighborhood, schools, or marathons! Go on the internet and scout, or set up a fundraiser. Use the weather to your advantage. A car wash or lemonade stand are great for the heat. Maybe even have an ice cream shop!
Enticements Give your members motivation for leaving their dens to venture into the real world. Let them get a head start on next year’s service hours, or bring food. Sometimes the service events offer free shirts/ promotional items, so be sure to publicize that when you spread the word about the event. Leaving Netflix and food can cause some serious withdrawals, but the service project is always worth the time! 8
Youth Opportunity Fund What is it?

This fund uses earned interest to help Key Clubs and Key Club members serve the world by providing grants for service opportunities. The Youth Opportunities Fund is established through a portion of your Key Club International dues and through the purchase of G. Harold Martin Fellowships.
