Volume Understanding

Work with reference pictures, showing as many details as possible. Bluprint’s selection among the less perspective pictures. Volume’s interpretation for accurate modeling.

Process Modeling

1:1 Scale modeling. Dual symmetry modeling with 1:100 mm construction tolerance checked with zebra and locator. The watch is full rounded, style and mechanical rounds. SBD creating for export.

Process Modeling

1:1 Scale modeling. No blueprint, every volume had been interpreted with perspective pictures. Dual symmetry modeling with 1:100 mm construction tolerance checked with zebra and locator. The case is full rounded, style and mechanical rounds. SBD creating for export.

Process Rendering

Scale & export of the 3D models in the FBX format with Autodesk Showcase software. Watch & case import into 3DsMax. Polygonal modeling of the watch strap and the case interior. Watch strap rigging. Preset of the scene and material editing. Vray Renders.

Volume Understanding

The first hour of the test had been dedicated to the volumes understanding, pictures research and works distribution. Only a fiew pictures available. Project had been modeled with one blueprint: the side view, and dimensions.

Volume Understanding

Sketches and a surfacic volume had been provided by my Designer Manager, who explained me his intentions. We worked in connection during 3 days. The modeling allowed to set and refine volumes.

Process Modeling

This is the final result after 3-day work. Dual symmetry modeling with 1:100 mm construction tolerance checked with zebra and locator. The watch is full rounded, style and mechanical rounds. SBD creating for export.

Motorbike Presentation

Curva 900 is the result of a 2012 project by four ISD students Quentin Beauregard, Tony Rousseau, LĂŠo Choisel & Cyril Pracchia. Our role today is to realize the 1/4 scale model of their motorbike. This model will represent their project and will be exposed in various shows.

Modeling & rendering Tony Rousseau

Model Groundwork

We personally did the model groundwork. To do the model we realized motorbike blueprints thanks to the provided wire modeling. For that we dissociated each element of the motorbike to export them on the IGES format. Then, we imported elements in the CAD softawe Dassault CATIA to do dimensional drawings.

Modeling Tony Rousseau

Model Process

The Curva 900 model is composed of 21 elements. We chose different material processes to build our model: Polyurethane Foam & Thermoforming for the bodywork. Stereolithography for the handlebar and the wheels. This work is for us an opportunity to enhance our technical knowledge about surfaces.
