A LETTER FROM THE MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR

Thank you for your support of our 2021 membership drive thus far! With your help, the club has welcomed 31 new members since the last issue of the Blinker. Please join me in welcoming our new members on page 7. This is an exciting time for the Club. The Membership Committee, Secretary Laura Sigmond and I are happy to report that we have 44 total new members as of June 7, 2021. As I mentioned in the spring issue, members recruiting members is our best method for growth. A strong and vibrant membership will contribute greatly to the success of our financial performance and capital improvement goals. I hope by now you have received our Discover Chicago Yacht Club Preview Membership invitation in the mail. If you have not already done so, I encourage you to share this personal invitation with a friend or family member. When you are ready to share another invitation, or if you would prefer to share membership information digitally, please contact me at membership@chicagoyachtclub.org and I will send the items your way.

It all starts with an invitation! Please invite your friends to experience the Club for themselves. Standout benefits of the program include:

The Chance to Preview & Explore the Club

Preview the Chicago Yacht Club and enjoy full access to all of the Club’s amenities and services, with no up-front initiation fee. New members will be responsible for monthly dues, fees, and charges.

Preferred Initiation Fees

Preferred initiation fees will be offered if new members commit to joining the Club within the first 30 days of their Preview term. Also, they will enjoy the opportunity to utilize staged payments.

Additional Rewards & Credits

Additionally, new members will enjoy up to $900 in monthly credits through December 31, 2022. Credits may be utilized for amenities & services, including dues!

WHAT’S IN IT FOR CURRENT MEMBERS? Thank You Rewards

We know that referring new members is not a simple task. In recognition of those efforts, we will extend our “thank you” to members who successfully refer new members. Each referring member will enjoy monthly credits to their Club account, through December 31, 2022, equal to the applicable credit for each new member they have referred into membership. The monthly credit may be utilized throughout the Club for all amenities and services, including the ability to apply them towards your monthly dues obligation. Do you have someone in mind for the Discover Chicago Yacht Club Preview Membership? Please invite them to join! We are hosting monthly Prospective Member Receptions which is a great way for interested parties to explore the Club.
