Meet the Cast

ERICKA ROSS (Farmer)

Ericka is excited to be part of the 2023-24 season at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte! Ericka was recently seen as Mrs. Beaver in the season opener of NARNIA THE MUSICAL. Ericka has also performed in LETTERS ALOUD (NYC) and the New York City Fringe Festival in CONGRESSWOMEN with Ducdame Productions (Coda). Other productions include Narroway Productions’ THE REAL CHRISTMAS STORY (Soloist and Gabriel the Angel), Donna Scott Production of EAT THE RUNT (8 Characters), BOB MARLEY’S THREE LITTLE BIRDS (Cedella), AND IN THIS CORNER: CASSIUS CLAY (Odessa Clay), BUD, NOT BUDDY (Deza Malone) and JUNIE B. JONES IS NOT A CROOK (That Grace) at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte; MEASURE FOR MEASURE (Lucio and Mariana) in London, UK. Ericka is a graduate of UNC –Chapel Hill (Go Tar Heels) and London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Ericka is grateful for the love of her family, friends, and God, without them none of these adventures and opportunities would be possible.

Meet the Cast

ISABEL GONZALEZ (Mike Flannery)

Isabel is thrilled to be back at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte! Isabel is a graduate from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and not a stranger to our theatre! Audiences may have seen her work with us throughout the years in a variety of different shows, including originating the role of Mike Flannery TWO YEARS AGO!!! Most recently, she was The Lion in THE LION AND THE LITTLE RED BIRD. When not on stage, Isabel works as a Choreographer around the area. She would like to thank everyone for supporting her journey thus far!

Meet the Cast

RYAN MILES (Worker)

Ryan is an Actor and Director from Charlotte NC. From stage to film, musicals to stunts, Ryan previous roles include Danny Zuko (GREASE), Dr. Frankenstein (FRANKENSTEIN), and multiple shows on the ID channel. He also has directed and performed in WAIT UNTIL DARK which won best show in 2023. He’s very happy to be performing in his first production with Children’s Theatre of Charlotte and thanks his loving parents for all of the support he’s received over the years.

Creative Team

Steven Levine (Director) A native of Charlottesville, Virginia, Steven has enjoyed a 30-year career as an Actor, Director, Fight Choreographer, and Movement Coach. He trained at the University of South Carolina, and the Dell’ Arte International School of Physical Theatre. Steven served as Artistic Associate at the dearly departed Bathhouse Theatre in Seattle. It is there that he launched his directing career with productions of Endgame and The Belle of Amherst. While on the West Coast, he served as a Guest Artist at Cornish College of the Arts, where he Directed The Threepenny Opera; acted in the world premiere of LILY’S PURPLE PLASTIC PURSE at Seattle Children’s Theatre, directed by Steven Dietz; performed the roles of Fred & Marley’s Ghost in A CIRCUS CHRISTMAS CAROL at San Diego Repertory Theatre; and created the role of the Soldier in the world premiere of Philip Glass’ opera, IN THE PENAL COLONY – a production directed by JoAnne Akalaitis at A Contemporary Theatre in Seattle. Since moving to Charlotte, Steven has directed SEMINAR for Three Bone Theatre, BAR MITZVAH BOY for J-Stage and the world premiere of PIGS IS PIGS here at CTC. As an actor, Charlotte audiences may have seen him as Mr. Banks in CTC’s MARY POPPINS, or as Oberon/Theseus in Actors Theatre of Charlotte’s outdoor production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM. Steven is Director of Production at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte.

Andrew Gibbon (Scenic Designer) started scenic design at West Charlotte High School and then went to study at North Carolina School of the Arts and the At-lanta College of Art. As well as serving as Children’s Theatre’s Technical Di-rector, Andrew has designed several Mainstage shows for Children’s Theatre including HOLES, DR. SEUSS’S THE CAT IN THE HAT, SECRET LIFE OF GIRLS, DANNY, KING OF THE BASEMENT and co-designed with Tim Parati, PETITE ROUGE and LILY’S PURPLE PLASTIC PURSE. Andrew also has had the great joy of designing over fifty shows for our Education department’s OnStage program.

Katy Sigmon (Costume Designer) is so happy to be returning to work with Children’s Theatre of Charlotte on this production! Recent Professional Credits include: Costume Design for A SICK DAY FOR AMOS MCGEE, and DANNY, KING OF THE BASEMENT with Children’s Theatre of Charlotte, A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD and THE UGLY DUCKLING (Jim Henson Award Winner) with the North Carolina Theatre for Young People as well as DR. SEUSS’ THE CAT IN THE HAT, THE ADDAMS FAMILY, MARY POPPINS, and TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE at The Green Room. Wig & Makeup Design/Artist at Ghost Train Halloween Festival, The Carolina Pumpkin Spelltacular, and Carl White’s Life in the

Carolinas. She is Co-Founder and Production Designer of Sigmon Theatrical, Co-Founder of GiggleBox Circus, and full time mama to Levi and Charlie.

Tyler Knowles (Sound Designer) is thrilled to be returning to Children’s Theatre of Charlotte for his sixth season! Tyler received his BFA and MFA in Sound Design and Technology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Tyler has recently worked on THE VELVETEEN RABBIT and PIGS IS PIGS at Children’s Theatre of Charlotte. He has also worked at Hope Summer Reparatory Theatre on shows such as SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK LIVE!, GO DOG. GO!, and DR. SEUSS’S THE CAT IN THE HAT. He is also a member of the Theatrical Sound Designers and Composers Association.

Sidney Bing (Lighting Designer) is happy to shine light on this fun show and grateful to be part of the team at CTC. Favorite lighting design credits include BRIGHT STAR, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, NEWSIES, JEKYLL AND HYDE, MEAN GIRLS, THE SECRET GARDEN, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, FREAKY FRIDAY, and HELLO, DOLLY!
