EXPOSED,FIGURE DRAWINGS BY THE WEDNESDAY LIFE DRAWING GROUP
Like other artists around the world, the “Wednesday Evening Life Drawing Group” get together to draw the human Artist: Ted Driediger figure from live models. When the session ends they pack up their drawings and take them home where they most often end up stashed away in drawers, cupboards attics and basements. It was our intention to bring these drawings out of their storage places and share them with the community. To that end we have mounted a group exhibition of figure drawings that are the personal investigation of the undraped figure by each participating artist and range in a variety of aesthetic styles and strategies. This exhibition showcases the beautiful and intimate works created by the artists who come to draw at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre during the Life Drawing Open Studio.
